Highfleet 1.14- Sevastopol "Veteran Gunner" rage unleash on SG. (Ultimate Tanc a Lelek moment)

- This is the highlight of my "Sevastopol Only" run. I've started with 1 stock Sevastopol and play only this Sevastopol, modifications to ship are allowed.
I stripped it at Ur, removed all 180 mm artillery, most of modules, one fuel tank block, even an engine to reduce price and farm XP. Managed to farm two levels with Veteran Engineer and Veteran gunnerAfter that I completely put the whole ship back, but replaced Sarmats with single barrels of 180mm and added some 37mm for defence, and full Palash coverage of course (later, last modification was placed after i beat this SG).
With Veteran Gunner this thing shoots so fast and artillery never run out. Nothing can go past this one ship. As you can see, this artillery pattern is extremely effective - 180mm and 57mm shots in tandem by pressing LMB button, with 180mm shells punching holes in the armor and 57mm exploiting weak hull parts and breaches all around and inside of ship. 37mm is always on stand-by, loaded, to counter enemy missiles or heavy cruiser salvos.
Also, i removed all missile capability except AA and all sensors except FCR and some ELINT
This allowed me to preserve a lot of energy to remove generators and put more defensive artillery.
My favorite thing about Highfleet's combat is that your best defense for the heavier ships is literally just shooting harder than your enemy can. Since you cant dodge it only makes sense.

That's my missile defense strategy. My flagship is a aircraft carrier with 6 30mills and 3 58. Nothing beats watching a whole squadron of planes get swated out of the sky.

Seva could be built much more better, even with the same numbers of weapons and extras
One of the things that I always loved about this game was how if you had the firepower, you could cut *through* enemy salvos
Like, you're throwing so much firepower downrange that your bullets are intercepting their bullets

Ngl, I wish modern day cinema truly displayed that like this game does, just there's so much dakka going on that the dakka isn't hitting the main targets, its just detonating the explosives in the round meant for the opposition, always super satisfying just watching shit blow up in between the two of you arm wrestling for who has the most overwhelming firepower.
That happened in the American Civil War, IIRC, as well as at Gallipoli.

I like the fact that in every fight you deploy Sevastopol at some point it will just be completely obscured by the cloud of smoke twice its size
I like that the Biggest worry I have for using it is my FPS rate lol

This soundtrack mixes with sfx so good that I can't enjoy it without them
how is it that the explosions in this game look better than anything I have seen before... from the smoke appearance to the way it spreads and hangs in the air... its incredible.

I’ve said it on another Highfleet video and I’ll say it again here: the creators of this game NAILED the power and awe of heavy artillery combat between two massive vehicles. The lighting, sounds, smoke, and clouds all make the rounds FEEL heavy and devastating.
Artillery fire contacting and exploding midway gave me chills.

Absolutely brutal. Been playing for several hours as well and been looking for Sevastopol tweaks and redesigns for inspiration. Did you upload your ship design anywhere? That amount of firepower is crazy
he didnt alter the design, this is with just crew upgrades. Also the best course of action in any game is to just discard and hide the sevastapol, the money is much more useful than the fuel drain and security it provides.

God the gun sounds are so chunky, paired with the music makes my hairs stand on end. Pure frisson.
Sevastopol is the best since it's a brick you can fight almost triple your tonnage and come out on top due to the stupid amount of munitions that thing sends downrange

@@denishnathaniel7727 Honestly, I get that it's supposed to be that, but it's always felt more like a middle eastern empire to me, as far as the cultural elements of the protagonists faction goes. Like the Russian Empire, but if it was made by Arabs instead.
