I suggest you ask for a replacement from Sony. Mine also had the same problem, battery drain extremely fast and getting hot when charging in the case, it also drained the case's battery down to 0% in less than 6 hours. After some research, looks like it may be caused by earlier batch of hardware coupled with a problematic software (firmware version 1.4.2 onward). If those really are the cause, I'm afraid replacing battery would not be able to resolve your issue.
1. You don't need to remove small ribbon from PCB on battery, just use heat and alcohol, carefully peel off PCB from battery and reuse adhesive (careful in case the battery is swollen as it may blow with heat) 2. Use a three-purpose voltmeter to measure the voltage of the battery. If it is above 3.5 V, it should be able to start the machine. Check whether it is reversed. The metal contact piece cannot be touched. It needs to be adjusted.
Thank you for the reply. Apparently when i glued the earbuds the motherboard was not properly intact so I had to open it again
mine is flashing when you put them into the case too but not turning on after i unplug them. so did you open it again and checked the connections?
@@burackbb yes i have to re open it and re aligned all the part and connection. Working like a charm now
@@nathanielangelojancamacam7584 ok i will try that
I already change mine, all is well but still it's not charging, it's the right earbud where there is no battery drain issue, I just switch the buttons on the app to make it have noise canceling now it's not even charging even I change the battery, please help
Excuse me, is it the left earphone or the right earphone that cannot be charged? What is the problem before replacing the battery?
@@NightWarJET before I replace the battery of the right earphone it's all okay, until I change the button of it to have anc because as we all know the left earbud have the anc button, I change it because the left earphone is already having battery problem, so back to the right earbuds I change it and now working I think I will be sending it to some third party fixer
thanks for the reply
Bro from where i can purchase battery for model WFLS900 N..and battery model pls?
You can find it on the auction website, keywords: model battery
Hello!! I saw the video you posted. And I'm a Sony wf 1000xm4 user. May I know the information of the glue used and the name of the battery?
Key words, Z55H battery
T9000 glue
can the old battery be taken out without (what i'm assuming is) the alcohol drop?
Heat the heat gun along the seam for about 7-9 seconds, use a relatively thin disassembly tool to pry it open, do not disassemble it forcibly if it is not heated enough.
謝謝分享
nice video, i ak stuck, i am unable to open them, doent matter how long i heat them (tryng not too long), any advise?
After heating, insert the flat blade into the gap to separate the earphones.
Found best temperature to be 125C
what did u blow on the contact on the battery before removing it ?

Can I use a hair dryer ?
Is this battery as powerful as its original battery and it is rechargeable ??
What happens if you use varta CR 2032 battery ??
Please answer me quickly .
😍😍🇹🇩💙
You are not able to charge CR2032 battery. It's standard lithium battery, you need lithium-ion battery (Varta CP1254 for example) to charge them 😉

Okay, I got it.
I gave it to a specialist and it was changed.
great job! I have a question, in the beginning I have battery drain issue and the battery life only can hold about 10 minutes in maximum, now it's overheating everytime I charge it, will my problem solved with changing the battery?
If the earphone gets into water or falls, it will also cause heat. Ten minutes is quite short. You can try to change the battery.
If those really are the cause, I'm afraid replacing battery would not be able to resolve your issue.
can't open the shell, how can I do that without warming it ?
There should be a hair dryer at home, right? A hair dryer can replace a heat gun. But it can't be blown for too long.
@@NightWarJET yes done, with a little scratch here and there
How did you get it to open?? Ive been stuck for a day trying to pry it open but no luck
how u open it? Heated the ear buds and using a negative screw driver?~~
Can I get an Amazon link to the battery you used?
You can search with this keyword: varta cp1254

Can I use varta cr 2032 ?
Please tell me
1. You don't need to remove small ribbon from PCB on battery, just use heat and alcohol, carefully peel off PCB from battery and reuse adhesive (careful in case the battery is swollen as it may blow with heat)
2. In my experience using B-7000 glue, the repair didn't work long term as there was not enough adhesion and the buds opened over time, i needed to remove the old seal/adhesive (black tacky stuff) and put the glue in its place.
3. Please not this music 😂
"Bluetooth device 2 replaced" announce when i touch sensor function after I replaced battery for left. I tried factory reset but that announcement still occur
Clean the connecting seat of the upper cover and the lower cover with cotton dipped in a highly volatile detergent, and then re-connect it.
I'm afraid that you broke some part during the disassembly process.
I replaced my battery, when i put the earphone in the case, orange light turns on then goes away. but when i take out earphone it doesn't turn on. what can I do?
If the circuit board is not damaged during the disassembly process, first check the battery, is it reversed?
@@NightWarJET i have the same problem, at first it turned on but now it doesn't and the battery is not reversed. I also tried making the contacts touch better to the battery but nothing happens

Is the glue conductive connecting the pcb to the battery?
That black glue is non-conductive
The glue you put around the earbud is non conductive too right?
Thanks bro another pair saved
Thank you very much. 🙏
What are you using to seal it back up?
Glue with T-9000 glue, pay attention to the amount, avoid glue overflow
@@NightWarJET if you use T-9000 and would need to replace the battery again in the future would you still be able to access it? or would it work like super glue that once you use it you can no longer separate it?
@Kenneth Ralph u can don't add glue but beware of waterproofing. The left over adhesive should be sufficient if u do not have glue
Used a hot air gun to open 3 ear buds. First tried 100C but not luck in opening. Tried 150C which was too hot and started melting the plastic. Found 125C was about right. From experience be careful as easy to pull apart too far and pull the ribbon cables out of their sockets. Anybody experience of alternative types of battery to fit as the originals are quite expensive.
I've opened a few more since last post and would suggest lower temperature around 115C. Does anybody know the reason why Bluetooth not pairing is beginning to happen with these buds?
@@paulbowditch7511 I could see the bud I repaired but no audio so I did the factory resets (hold touch pads for 10 secs, and open and close case 10x until blinking red light and then kept it closed until it showed green)

Thank you
What size battery can I use to replace this as well as the charging case?

大哥,你太厲害了! 在開外殼時你是用熱氣去除粘膠,但是在取出電池的蓋子時卻用Falcon,請問用吹風機而不用Falcon可以嗎? 謝謝!
指的是開蓋還是取出電池的環節?

Thanks for the video, I didn't see another video on yt explaining how do this.
If the earphones have been used for several years and feel that they are prone to run out of power, you can try to change the battery.

Top work, good to see a proper battery replacement video. question, what kind of battery life are you getting with the varta? it has less voltage and less capacity than the Z55H, is it a significant difference?
Specification:
CP1254: standard voltage 3.7V, standard capacity 77MAH, diameter 12.1mm, height 5.4mm, weight 1.6g
Z55 (1254) 65mAh-75mAh
m.zenipower.com/cn/page.html?id=61
@@NightWarJET which cp1254 battery are you using? the A4 version? Since the A3 version is not 77mAh, but ~60mAh. at 3.7v, the batteries might not last as long, not earbud listening time. but the actual life of the battery since you are overcharging it to 3.85v with the case.
While it may not be that much of a difference, if a problem arises with 3.7v battery being overcharged too much, it might damage the battery and cause it to explode. Not ideal situation.
