It's refreshing to see a fashion show that focuses entirely on the fashion. Some shows these days are such ridiculously huge productions that the last thing you remember are the clothes.
I love this because its building on the legacy of JPG, honoring the aesthetic created by the founder and not radically re invention the look. If you want your own look, start your own label. The padded hips in the 1st look was created by JPG himself. And Glenn Martens then put his own spin on what the Gaultier look is in the rest of the collection which was beautiful, wearable yet still breathtakingly original in the spirit of JPG. Bravo ! Just like what Valentino and Schiaparelli's designers are doing. They were great too.

Chitose went traditional Gaultier then deconstructed it, Martens here came to modernize. Both are really great approach that have Gaultier signatures on them but still true to Chitose and Martens. Big shoes to fill for whoever’s in charge next season.

I have to Gaultier his props for this collection. I totally liked the whole collection. Bravo! But I was a little concerned about the shoes. Some of the models appear to walk as if the shoes were uncomfortable. Many of the models appear as if they fall on the runway...there goes the ankles! I almost held my breath as each model walked. But in all, the collection was great. Ps...love, love, love that red dress!
Uhmm... this was more McQueen than Gaultier......the dark under tone the continuous high soprano shrill from the 5th element ....Gaultier is more chic ketch , than organic abstract.
The Music is very Alexander McQueenesque! The clothes are very John Paul Gaultier inspired especially the pink champagne corsetry. The rest is from the imagination of the New Designers. Nothing really screams innovation. Not a bad show at all!
