Decided to run in 2026 (possibly 2028 depending on how much I can raise for my campaign) in my district. I’m 28 now and a regular citizen but I’m listening to people like you so I can focus on what I need to do rather than what I’m missing or don’t have.

I always was said. a man once said. don't think what your country can do for you. think what you can do for your country. but then I asked when will you let me do that?
@@jaytownsend22 yes you do or not a adult till your 18 you can't get drunk till your 21 and your cant run for office if you dont have money or 25 in most cases. even though we have 14 years old children who act older than 35. I have serve the country. U.S census 2010 2020 and voted since I was 18 and sign up for the seleted service no choices in the matter. I help people no money asked. and studied everything I can. but since I don't have a GED or millions of dollars or don't live in an area when my party is. America regulation kicks me out. when I have been on my hand and knees begging you to then me in. so when sir. when can I serve my county and help stop this maddness. I watched the country kill my friend. jail them for wrong reason . and when they ask for help. nothing. help me stop this maddness. our home is burning sir. our reasoning is fallen. united we stand. dividend we fall.
Hi Jay, I’m a political science student graduating next year. What would you suggest that I do to get into working on campaigns, either as a consultant at a firm, or a direct hire by a party? I’ve started volunteering with local candidates and have been trying to make genuine connections. Is there other things I should be doing as well?
You are on the right track. Help candidates you like and excel in whatever you do. The more time you spend with the candidate the better. Along the way find a way to meet influential party leaders and the consultants they hire. As you make friends, work hard at keeping them.
The reality of everything you talk about is rooted in identity-it's either genuine or not. So, how do I cultivate my environment to attract people who share the same values, but aren't "yes men"? I need people who carry the same amount of passion for their respective fields and can provide the necessary support to bring about disruption. Because, just to be transparent, a sense of genuine community in today's world is not tangible.

The reality of those environments is that the divide is so great, and my life experiences and work demand that we address certain parts of the conversation that my party sees no need to have. The awareness and compassion we communicate, rooted in our faith, are not genuine from my observations or simply show a lack of awareness of the bigger picture of people’s lives and the crucial role they play in the system. What’s difficult is understanding the role of having conversations for the betterment of the party, and neither party in my state is having the conversations the community feels are important, nor do they see the need for them. Alternatively, they take conversations to the extreme, leading to assumptions and us being spoon-fed by the system. I feel we are too easily offended or passionate in these conversations, so we aren’t listening to understand their intentions. This is stunting innovative and effective collaboration among people, not parties. But this could be just my lack of experience in “the game of politics.” Any insight is appreciated! I persevere in this environment because the need is great, and I wait for a moment to effectively and respectfully disrupt the system when my voice can be applied. This also drives me in my day-to-day work to ensure that when my voice is heard, there is a resume that shows I am not just yapping. I appreciate the content you create for us young folk who are trying to strategically approach a career in this conversation.
