Hey Mr. Townsend, I just wanted to thank you for all of the advice you have given on running for public office over the years, I'm running for mayor in 2025 and I've always wanted to help my hometown as it's crime has spiked in the past 12 years of the previous mayor. I'm a long-shot campaign as I'm a college student and would be the youngest mayor in our state's history at 20, but I'm going to give it my all.
Fantastic video Mr. Townsend, I hope to become mayor of chicago someday hopefully Knowledge and experience is necessary first before taking on a great responsibility. 😃
They work out their differences when they disagree, or at least try to. The mayor sets the budget, proposes when to spend, with the input of the city council, and oversees the departments that provide the services.

What power does a major of a mayor have? What happends if the city council and the mayor wants different things?
They work out their differences when they disagree, or at least try to. The mayor sets the budget, proposes when to spend, with the input of the city council, and oversees the departments that provide the services.
So I have to go to the courthouse and ask what I need to be put on the ballot if it’s signatures or a check but that’s where it’s done
