Reverse thrust is always fun to watch. I used to love seeing the Q-300s do it at my local airport, where I worked.
Awesome sound from those engines starting up! Cool to see how they "push back" too ;) Incredible footage, huge like from me!
Thanks a lot, it was pretty impressive seeing the pilots maneuvering the seaplanes around the docks.
I like engine's sound too. Especially, when pilots do test their plane. For example, at 02:46 on this video: ruclips.net/video/05VFXQo-U00/видео.html
Yes the PT6 does seem to have a distinct sound
I seem to remember that at some point this was among the safest airplanes built, maybe 'the' safest. What a beauty
Nice, I wasn't aware of that. I'd love to have a flight in one some day.
Outstanding footage! I love the Chevron! It looks like a floating av gas station!
Ya, I've always thought it looked pretty neat floating out there. Thanks for watching!
Beautiful and elegant. Such an incredible seaplane.
Another superb video! Great sound too! Much liked.
Thank you very much, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Very impressive! Always love seeing some seaplane action! Great job, thanks for posting! Liked a ton :)
Thanks a lot, I'm glad you enjoy the seaplanes :-)
Cool, I always love seeing a TwOtter.
Me too, I always try to film a couple of them whenever I'm in Vancouver.
Liked a lot! Interesting to see/hear engine start, and the reverse away from the dock was very cool. Thanks for posting:)
Thanks, it's definitely one of my favorite sounds :-)
Cracking footage of The DHC-6 . The Engines stopped pretty fast on Shutdown...quite amazing. Excellent video...Best wishes....Steve.
Thanks again Steve! The harbour airport in Vancouver is always one of my favorite stops when I'm in the city. Always lots of action going on down there.
Wow, lovely waterplane footage!
Big like!
Thank you!
Ah beautiful Vancouver ♥️
One of my favourite cities, and my favourite spotting location!
@@TheHDAviation I find Vancouver is an easy city to like, I could easily feel at home there
Thank you Dany for the answer

Wow, very impressive!
What a beautiful seaplane!
Indeed, I really love the Twin Otter. Thanks for watching!
Awesome! Thank you!
awesome sound!!!
Now this is something we don´t see every day! Nice close ups with fantastic engine sounds! I love the reverse by own prop power. I last saw an ATR-72 doing that in Koh Samui! I would love to try one of these aircraft at some stage! Really nice vid, thanks for sharing! Like!! :-D
Thanks a lot for the kind comment, it really is nice watching the seaplanes in action at the Vancouver Harbour Airport. I'd love to fly on one as well some day, would definitely be exciting!
Indeed! :-D
Such a great plane❗️🇨🇦👍
great video i wish a company could invest and operate twin otters here in the Philippines since we have a huge lake near the metro where they can base from and fly to different islands around the country, I think that would be a huge hit here and I'll definitely be a frequent flyer
Great. 2 thumbs up. Thanks a lot.
Thanks for watching!
sorry for not commenting in a while... :/ but im back :D This is so well done cant stop loving it SOOOOOOOOOO DAM EPIX
Ya, these Twin Otter's are pretty sweet. Thanks :-D

Thanks a lot!
good camera work

Great video!
Thanks!
Very nice to see a flying boat.
Ya, these seaplanes are pretty cool. I always enjoy watching them when I'm in Vancouver.
- Damn.. This pilot makes it seem so easy. Got some experience ain't ? Hats off.
+Peter Schmidt Ya, they really do make it look effortless!
Nice catch :)
Thanks for watching :-)
Looks good! Nice video. :)
Thanks!
Get us a video of the instrument panel, showing the gauges and some narration from the Pilot or Co-Pilot as to what the start up procedure is, what numbers or percentages must read before fuel in introduced.
2:15 is my most favourite sound in the world. Along with a beaver engine starting
I love it as well!
Why having a rope dangling off the float? Good shot of Vancouver harbour. I used to live in North Vancouver on E 29th.
very nice, so air transport is very suitable for maritime regions in Indonesia.
nice! I'd love to fly on a floating one of these, would be twice the fun of a land version.
Ya, I would as well. Hopefully some day soon!
The very firsr2 of these I saw at the end of the old airport in KINGSTON JAMAICA, wert the first ones I saw on floats, they were being ferried to CHILE THAT WAS 1965 CHEERS FROM NJ USA🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Lindo!!!
Very interesting! I've never seen a seaplane landing or taking off in water :(
Thanks for watching. I hope you will be able to see some seaplanes in action soon :-)
What kind of camera do you use? Prop spin looks very smooth
I took this with the Nikon D610 with a 28-300VR lens.
Awesome aircraft, I wonder if these still operate in and around my home island?!!? The U.S.V.I.
David Johnson Actually yes they do flew on one last weekend
Great 👍🏻
Thanks for watching!
Adoro avião
Nice
Thanks!
Wait what the hell? How does it go reverse then suddenly forward?
I love your video, I used it to show what a Twin Otter is supposed to sound like. :)
Would you mind giving me permission to use sound bites from it to improve the sound of the new Twin Otter model in X-Plane?
Thanks for watching! Yes, that would be fine to use the sound for X-Plane. You can check this video as well if it's helpful: ruclips.net/video/4HESi7etVO4/видео.html
***** Thank you, with the 2 videos I should be able to get exactly what I need.
You video channel is great, I just subscribed to it !
Cheers,
I think it was more difficult to takeoff and landing than a normal plane
It definitely must take a lot of practice and skills! I'd love to experience a flight in a floatplane some day.
Ini harga nya berapa...
Double the PT-6, half the takeoff distance.
Rugged,sweet flying aircraft
Love the Twin Otter!
can anyone explain how it taxi in reverse
***** There are two ways. It depends on how old the plane is. The pilot simply pushes a lever to open a funnel that diverts air forwards. I've also seen some that have sophisticated corkscrew-type bolts so each blade can twist. This makes it push the air the other way. I don't think the latter method sounds as reliable as this means a lot more moving parts and more stuff to maintain!
That's two different things you're talking about here. The lever-funnel thing you're mentioning is called a thrust reverse and you'll see that on turbojets and turbofans. Props always change (reverse) pitch, which might sound complicated but has been around since 1919.
+largol33t1 so Boeing jet plane can't reverse it
Better Check your Dinghy .

+Bjorn Nathaniel Cosico It sound like they could be a big hit there, and it would definitely be a cool option to fly around in. I'd love to go on a flight with one of these ones some day.
