In theory you could use engine oil for everything and it would actually work well, i doubt the brakes would last but everything else and you'd be quids in
Starter motor actually spins faster than the engine, so adding more volts doesn't do anything else than generate excess heat. You would need to add more amperes and lower the voltage to get better results.

You should test how long car will run if you disconnect the exhaust and route it back to intake. Put overpressure valve to the loop just so it won't explode instantly...
EGR system does essentially that except only a small stream of exhaust gas. Assuming you seal the system it would just stall once there was no longer enough oxygen to support combustion. If it wasn’t sealed it would just be very underpowered as you’re essentially taking away displacement.
100%, sometimes if a turbo fails it leaks oil in through the intake and the engine runs off that, usually resulting in complete death if not suffocated by blocking the intake, cutting fuel does nothing.
with a rotary distributor type pump (Bosch VE and the likes) 50% waste engine oil to diesel is fine unless the ambiant temperature is under 5 deg C then it can be too thick for a cold start and risks damage to the pump......an inline pump is pretty much unaffected by thicker oil down to -5C temps and straight oil works fine although i found that i had to wait for the engine to warm up a bit before i could drive off. If its common rail don't even think about it......

You should just run the engine in your new test-car on two cylinders. The ones that are compressed up and down at the same point, and see how it works out :-D

Zou grappig zijn, maar dan heb je volgensmij een hele andere nokken as nodig, aangezien deze de exacte klep openings timing verzorgt. 2 takt lukt wel, de nieuwe ktm exc 300 tpi had zelfs die problemen (wil wel eens gebeuren als je teveel voorontsteking hebt, en niet hard genoeg aantrapt). Smaller engines have lower inherent resistance, so they can run really fast for short period of time. Eventually they would disconnect as the transmission input would spin faster than the engine output. As such they have a lot more power than bigger engines, but lot less torque.
We have a landini tractor which got water in the cylinders while running. It obviously stopped running but everything was still okay. The water even stayed in there for about two weeks before getting drained out. The engine is still going strong and this was about 10 years ago
u cant start in fifth gear, engine will just stall no matter how carefully you will play with the gas and the clutch. To move a heavy stationary car you need high torque, and the higher the gear you are in the lower your torque is. Or if you actually manage to get the car moving, it will be very very powerless until you slowly speed up
Martin Éles Of course it cannot be impossible. Even overdrive 5th gear of a lada, is able to pull away, although high in RPM and very slow off of clutch, taking long time to get to good speed and accelerate. This is not good for clutch or really engine to be rev so high for so long

Normal cars are required to be able to carry own weight of extra cargo, so you would need about 3 tons of steel for bigger passenger cars until it will scratch the belly... Any extra weight has to be balanced to the middle of the axles or otherwise springs will compress on just one end of the car.

I bought a 2001 Saturn L200 wagon for $500 about 10 years ago (basically an Opel Vectra B, but sold in the US as a Saturn) with the 2.2L engine that had ingested water. The engine was totally seized, so I had to disassemble it to get it out. One connecting rod was bent into a Z shape. Actually, once I got that rod and piston out, the engine would turn, but the crankshaft wasn't in the best shape, and I already had a good used engine to put in. I fixed it, drove it for a few months, then sold it for $3,000. Not a bad return on investment.

There is an actual system designed to inject a fine mist of water in a running engine to combat detonation. Its a cheap way to be able drive an older car, or even a performance car with hiher compression and lower octane gas. the water mist cools the intake charge enough to stop some detonation, but it isn't the fix for using the right octane fuel or rebuilding the engine with lower compression. You can stop detonation by reducing the timing and richening the fuel mixture as well. Ever notice your car seems to run a little more powerful now and then in the rain? Same idea.

had water in mn motor: Alfa Romeo 156 2.4jtd 190pk , hele blok zat vol, alles eruit laten lopen en dat ding liep gewoon weer super! was wel een 10v en geen 20v (10 kleppen minder die kapot kunnen) + inlaat slang eraf gehaalt en alles eruit gegooid.

Pijnlijk om te zien helaas zelf een hydrolock mee gemaakt met een minicooper 4 jaar terug :( probeer een auto in 2e te trekken. of ga offroad rijden met normalen banden en der na met dubbellucht 2 velgen aan elkaar lassen en kijk of je verder komt. probeer zo lang mogelijk op 2 wielen te rijden (2 wielen aan de zijkant van het voertuig)

Also, I don't think it will last very long, there is no cooling of the windings, and no intenal air flow it will burn out in under 30 secs.

If you get a Diesel test car, try how much used motor oil you can mix with diesel to use as fuel.

I have personally ran 70%oil and 30% diesel in a diesel truck with no problems

No engine is too fast
Just block off fuel flow to those cylinders and remove the spark plug so no combustion or fuel.

Replace the engine oil with the WD40.
All that will do is wash the oil out and seize the engine. WD40 is not a lubricant like most people think.

I know you have already tried using water as brake fluid but I am interested to see some other fluids tried as brake fluid. Like hydraulic oil, engine oil, auto trans fluid, diesel, and whatever else you can think of. P.s when are we going to see more of the buggy??
I bought a 2001 Saturn L200 wagon for $500 about 10 years ago (basically an Opel Vectra B, but sold in the US as a Saturn) with the 2.2L engine that had ingested water. The engine was totally seized, so I had to disassemble it to get it out. One connecting rod was bent into a Z shape. Actually, once I got that rod and piston out, the engine would turn, but the crankshaft wasn't in the best shape, and I already had a good used engine to put in. I fixed it, drove it for a few months, then sold it for $3,000. Not a bad return on investment.

Het water in een lagere hoeveelheid, bij een hogere snelheid langs een onderdrukslangetje onder de gasklep laten opzuigen,
had je wel extra vermogen gemerkt door een hoger compressie.
There is an actual system designed to inject a fine mist of water in a running engine to combat detonation. Its a cheap way to be able drive an older car, or even a performance car with hiher compression and lower octane gas. the water mist cools the intake charge enough to stop some detonation, but it isn't the fix for using the right octane fuel or rebuilding the engine with lower compression. You can stop detonation by reducing the timing and richening the fuel mixture as well. Ever notice your car seems to run a little more powerful now and then in the rain? Same idea.

had water in mn motor: Alfa Romeo 156 2.4jtd 190pk , hele blok zat vol, alles eruit laten lopen en dat ding liep gewoon weer super! was wel een 10v en geen 20v (10 kleppen minder die kapot kunnen) + inlaat slang eraf gehaalt en alles eruit gegooid.

of ga offroad rijden met normalen banden en der na met dubbellucht 2 velgen aan elkaar lassen en kijk of je verder komt.

Beste Milo en Dirk, Ik heb misschien nog wel een goede. Wat gebeurd er met de motor wanneer een auto te water raakt? Meestal is hij al kapot als hij het water uitgehaald wordt. En zit daarin verschil in diesel of benzine qua overlevingskans?

Moet je al het vet bij homokineet weghalen,dus gwn hoes opensnijde dan heb je dat zo voor elkaar
