Well I've bought two of these packs and both hubs refuse to be detected by the wifi and the app, pretty useless, seems though that on the TP forum I'm not the only one with this problem.
Can you share the thread on the forum? We would like to investigate. Please also try connecting the hub directly to your router via ethernet once you have done that try connecting the hub to wireless and then unplug the ethernet.
@TPLINKTECH .... I didn't realise that you can not set these up wirelessly and that you have to use the Ethernet cable to do the initial set-up. My mistake. My wifi unit does not have an Ethernet connection to it so I had to do it through the TP-Link extender which has a Ethernet connection on it. Once I plugged it in (Hub) it set itself up and was able to set-up the wireless connection and pair the camera's to the Hub, so all good, everything is working as it should, though on the forum there are people that could not set-up even with the cable. I have 6 wired Tapo cameras connected to the app and want to replace them with the wireless cameras and I have 5 smart plugs also connected to the app and it has all worked flawlessly. Thankyou for your response.
After I paired the second camera the first one stop working. I reset every thing but still not working :( the first camera starts to pair I ear the voice ( pair complete) then starts to blink red and green again
We would suggest contacting your Region's support team. Click here www.tp-link.com/us/choose-your-location/ then choose your region. From there click on support and then Contact Technical Support
I cannot get the cameras to work outdoors. As soon as I move outdoors I can’t view the cameras remotely. Whatever tech is used to connect the hub to the cameras doesn’t have good range. The hub is on the 2nd floor and less than 100 feet from the camera. I have stucco walls.
Is your home wired for ethernet? You might need to move the Hub closer to the cameras. There could be interior interference that could be reducing the signal. I have the cameras too and they are working with my hub on the opposite side of the home and on the 2nd floor. My home is 2100 sq feet and has stucco walls as well so the stucco would not be a problem but the range might.

The battery is charged but always shows 0% on the app and not being able to do updates and access to the camera
We would recommend contacting support to assist with a possible warranty replacement.
