this literally goes so hard. what an arrangement
Agreed
My thoughts exactly
This will ALWAYS be one of my favourite band pieces!
Fact
"Everybody Needs Somebody to Love" is my favorite Blues Brothers song.
Then go listen to it instead
I'm happy to hear this played by someone other than our band, and even happier to realise we sound like this (kind of)
That feeling when you've played this so much on tuba, you know the part off by heart...
crazygrainger2006 yeh but for me I’m 13 i play tenor saxophone in am marching band and concert band so I’m just sitting here with just my iPad scrolling through the comments
I know this whole song for bari but tonight gonna play set for first time of this piece :)))
@@shadowmonster4607 hell yeah man do you still play?
I just got this myself on tuba and I can't practice it sitting down because I want to dance so much.
@@ExtremeWeatherGroup yeh haven’t played this song in a couple of years still know it off my heart and im also now in 6 bands
Wow. I played this in high school with my jazz band. It was our favorite song. What a memory. The guitar solo during Soul Man was the peak of my career.
I'm playing this on tuba and BOY DOES IT FEEL GOOD! Almost fainted on the first run through though...
don't faint or I will blame the tuba.
I feel you(I play the euphonium tho) the first run is a game of strategy where you try to breath but at the same time its so fun
@@Green-sv5kpsame lol
@@Green-sv5kpsame here man
i’m playing this on bari sax and tuba lmao
We are playing this in my band concert 😭 I hope we can do as well as they r doing!
this music has a vivid life force with a pounding pulse.
This could really pump up a crowd at a football game or something. Really energetic and fun. Good work!
actually, i cant turn you loose is part of the michigan hockey band
That transition at 1:44 is awesome!
Played this for a school concert. I will never forget the fun of this song.
As a percussionist, this song was always a nightmare on my right leg.
One year the high school band played this, I wasn't in band at the time but I was in choir. The director bought everyone dark sunglasses for the performance
I played the baritone sax part in the band I was in. It’s a very challenging part of the song, and enjoyed it.
I played bass on this my senior year of high school and had so much fun with it. Such a great piece!!
I remember the people a grade above me played this. I didn’t care what the director wanted me to do, because I sang my heart out.
This song has good vibes written All over it
Can’t wait to play this in my band’s concert in two days ✌️
Practicing it has been so fun
Hope it went wel😅
OMG! I remember playing this with my school band at our end of the year concert.
Captinbary135 AJ same

Definitely one of the top 10 best movies of all time
Playing this my last semester of college- feels good to be back in band for the first time since 2017
2:14 playing this on clarinet is legendary
Agreed
Oh yes
Same on flute
You are absolutely right! I play clarinet for marching band, and we are playing this song. At first, that part was really difficult, but now it's really fun to play.
Love it
i play this last year in my Orchestra. Its a very cool vision of this song
Greatest movie of all time
We play this in our school band :D
Y’all am I the only one playing this in middles school?? I’m first clarinet and it’s hard but fun 😊
I am too
The Tuba part is awesome!👍😍
I played this in 7th grade and you don’t know how happy I was to be a bassoon
I played this as 2nd trombone
We played this for our concert
Brian Swift lucky you my band isn't good enough
Brian Swift IM PLAYING THIS TOMORROW FOR THE SCHOOL IM TERRIFIED
Playing this right now. It’s awesome. Any pioneer high school people? Lol
OneForAll yes lmao
This reminds me of the Blues Brothers Half Time Show I was in back in 1991 as part of the East Davidson Marching Eagles directed by Ed Kiefer. :D
3:04 always reminded me of the ducktales theme.
The Tuba Player will hate this :o)
Im playing this on bass I LOVE IT ❤
Anyone else play Baritone/Euphonium in this?? It’s super fun
Yes. Fellow baritone player.
It's really cool and exciting.
We were just given this music today to perform in three days. We played it flawlessly in jazz band this morning, but it is so much fun.
My school band was never able to play this song at this speed lol. Still a fun piece tho.
This is one of my favorite songs to play in Jazz band at my school my favorite selection out of this might have to be soul finger but i love the other songs a lot too
this is really wow! fantastic
Finally French Horn has some melody!!!!!
Steven Garrett that’s the trombone actually
Who told the horns in this piece to sound like elephants? I hope they never conduct another ensemble.
archclient both instruments can have melody
Then listen to African Symphony, the horns has a lot to do ;)
Awesome!
It's a very nice song
First song where i really enjoyed playing mallet percussion
Hard work on bass clarinet when there's essentially no other bass that one can hear, and one has the blistering hot Australian sun on one's back, and no hat on one's head.
when you’re the only bass in the class and get to do the beginning all by yourself 😍
Waiting On Blues 2...
Our band teacher played this with us instead of conducting. It was amazing XD
Delta Stream What instrument?
Who stopped the fermata?
Millennium Spec good question
I remember in another band a flute stopped, stood up, ended, and sat back down. Quite comical
Try listening to the soul finger part at 2x speed...its pretty cool haha
i think that is the best to
K question. During Soul Man, how do I even begin to play those trombone notes that fast. I have a one valves bass trombone. Suggestions? Or should I just practice?
I've played this on trombone. Don't try to go 1-4-1-4-1-4. It's too hard. Instead, use alternate positions. 5th for Bb, and 6th for F. Much easier to play and sounds cleaner. Alt positions are your friend.
Play this right now xD
its, soul finger. By the bar-kays!
You should do The Doors in Concert, arranged by Paul Murtha
Listen to the Kyoto Tachibana High School Green Band - 2018 Green Band Festival Benefit Concert. They not only play they dance while play
Anyone else play bari sax in this piece?
yeah man it's so funnnnnn
Daithí O' Cheallaigh I did, loved it.
Don’t think we sound like this...
I want to hear phantom of the opera
CAN YOU PLEASE UPLOAD THE DOORS IN CONCERT, ARRANGED BY PAUL MURTHA??!!!
the jazz version for a small band is so much cooler then then the full concert band arrangment. more meaty
Reannon Stark but the hal Leonard jazz version goes to slow.
speed it up then
Reannon Stark I'm on mobile
Reannon Stark the jazz one is what we're doing at school right now
Try listening at 2x speed
Is it possible to get this arrangement for Brass Band?

The best Part for horn is Everybody need somebody
