0:01 Michael Jackson - Thriller 1:27 Cindy Lauper - Time after time 2:29 Survivor - Eye of the tiger 3:27 Joe Cocker & Jennifer Warnes - Up where we belong 5:19 Bon Jovi - You give love a bad name
My freshman band is playing this for our spring concert next week!😎 we cute out the Up Where We Belong part though bc everyone including our director hated it😂😂 but literally the whole band is obsessed with it
When I was listening to all the songs in the background, it was actually Up where we belong that made me become aware of what cool songs I am listening. I like it very much, but maybe it's because I have the original sound in memory and the play activated it. In my opinion a hammer song , played in the right ambience of course. It's not a party song.
our honors band plays this song every year when the six grader come to visit the middle school, fun song but your lips, or what we call chops, are beyond dead after playing about 13 times every day for two days not including three other songs lol, love this song though
Im happy playing this at the next concert of my orchester, sadly i went from 2nd trumpet to 3rd bevause people do not come, but im happy vibing with everyone
It's the eye of the tiger it's the thrill of the fight Rising up to the Challenge of our rival And the last known survivor stalks his pray in the night and he's watching us all with the eeeeeeeeeecht of the tiger!😎🐯
best part was when i played it the the first time and the trumpets started playing at thriller 😂 i got so scared haha (i play the 3rd clarinet so i played in the beginning and the trumpets sat right behind me)
we played this for our last concert .. i left to go to online school before the concert 😭 loved this song tho. i learned to play the bass clarinet on it so well
Any other floutists struggle with the "Up where we belong" beginning part? I just can't seem to get it. The melody doesn't make sense in my head and my fingers won't cooperate. >_
We are playing this and it’s great but my friend plays the clarinet and when I’m doing my glockenspiel and hitting the timps hard she gives me a look coz the clarinets have to be quiet HAHA 😂
certainly not a fan of this. there is no transition between songs. one ends on a pause then a new one starts. it's not a great transcription from rock band to wind band. sure people will know the tunes but it's a bit cringey from start to finish.

I remember playing this on the tuba a few years ago. We didn't have a euphonium player that year, so I played that solo at 4:03 in place. Fun times.
u played it on tuba?!! U must be really good on it
Still in my opinion, the best one we ever did in band.
i remember this on my sophomore year in high school, we played this for senior conducting, good times.
our band puts the trumpet an octave higher on Eye of the Tiger and You give love a bad name. it sounds even BETTER!

Joseph Chapa I thought that was just us😂 "Save your chops"
Everyone calls them chops😒
"Save you chopsssss!" - band director right before a concert 😂😂
It's called embouchre
Lol the first trumpet part during melody is exactly the same as the second part from when I played You Give love a Bad Name for marching band.
+Epic Gaming It's a compilation,Parts of You give love a bad name is in this song
this is one of my favorite songs we’re performing in band
my concert band is playing this! Awesome song
Playing this in intermediate concert band for French horn, and damn it’s fun! The trombones tho…

I love this soooo much!
The bass lines for Thriller and You Give Love a Bad Name are similar in sound.
Dang! I was a decade late!!!
and i was 2
As a oboe player, I was at first very confused how to do that wind noise part. Overall really liked this arrengement
My director gave me the timpani part for our concert. I don’t think he likes me too much.
legendary
thanks !
Pilou Sully
My seventh grade band is playing this
You could substitute the Upright Bass with Bass Guitar as it has more punch.
My band director needs suggestions, I am totally suggesting this.
Our band is playing this and I get to play the alto saxophone part
Playing this for kids coming into middle school
These songs bring me life especially when I play it, it's so lifeful suggest this to your conductors like if u agree with me :)
I commenting just so this will be the 140th comment
My band played this
nice song
Where is the baritone parts
For Eye of the tiger the tuba shouldn't play quarter but eights notes.
H Le it is staccato eighth notes, so it it shorter
Yasss
we played this for our last concert .. i left to go to online school before the concert 😭 loved this song tho. i learned to play the bass clarinet on it so well
我怕太超現實的快樂,只是你借給我的

We are playing this and it’s great but my friend plays the clarinet and when I’m doing my glockenspiel and hitting the timps hard she gives me a look coz the clarinets have to be quiet HAHA 😂

Easy song saxophone player btw
What song? 3:28
Up where we belong
This looks like torture as a clarinet

certainly not a fan of this. there is no transition between songs. one ends on a pause then a new one starts. it's not a great transcription from rock band to wind band. sure people will know the tunes but it's a bit cringey from start to finish.
pov: you're a marching band kid
edit: i cant spell
2024 Anyone?
Eighties Flashback has no Never Gonna Give You Up
Rickroll and Rick Astley: Are we a joke to you?
Nobody plays the trombone
This has music written for bassoon but it’s not playing it!!
So cringe
