Can not wait for WYZE to arrive in the UK as the price and technology work well. I was going to buy a RING system and order camera systems for inside the house, but have held off from purchasing different items to make up a system but I will be using WYZE on everything

What if you are overseas and want to allow someone to get in without using Wifi ? seems like you are forced to get the keypad. Right ? it then will look ugly setting up 2 separate units.. Looking FW to your answer . Thank you for a nice video.

Thank you for your answer. I have a Medeco Maxum double cylinder deadbolt. Is this secure enough or do you still recommend upgrade to a Mul-t-lock Junior KIK cylinder or replace with a Schlage B60N or Schlage B560P deadbolt?
Does the WYZE lock have a "low battery" notification? Also, if the lock malfunctions or battery is dead, is there a manual overridden to be able to get in?
Yes the Wyze lock is only replacing your tumbturn of your current deadbolt lock and not the entire Lock. You can still use your current key from the outside to override the keypad. I was recommend to upgrade your deadbolt lock to a grade 1 security rating deadbolt as well... please check out the links in the description of the video for more information. About the battery life, so the Wyze application do show you the battery level so you can know in advance when you need to replace them.
Have you used the voice assistant to lock your door, and if you auto unlock do you have to disable auto lock feature or charge to a longer time like 5mins vs at once?
The Voice commends works perfectly fine. The Wyze lock can work simultaneously with all the features so you can use the auto lock and Auto Unlock at the same time
I am thinking of installing a Schlage Encode. But what about the door lever? Is it unnecessary to install 2nd deadbolt in the place of door lever lock? Thanks!
Hi Jim So installing a 2nd deadbolt is always good to add more security, but if you’ll install the Wyze Lock or the Schlage Encode Smart WiFi Deadbolt so the 2nd lock will be only useable during the night because all the purpose of installing a smart lock is to have automation access to your front door using a phone app, a code etc... For my professional opinion if you reinforce the door frame with a security door Strike Plate and reinforce the door hinges as well combining a smart lock with a high security key cylinder like Mul T Lock, it will be vary secure and the second deadbolt will be just for piece of mind but not a must on the list. I’m not so sure about the Options available with Wyze Lock Keypad, soon I’ll get it and make a continues video about it. Meanwhile you can share access to friends/family using the Wyze app and get push notification when someone open the door etc. It’s a really AWESOME Smart Lock for someone with a low budget and it works as good like all the other ones for my professional opinion.
I'd rather have no key hole on the outside of the door. Worst case scenario I bust out a window to get into my house. It would slow perps down not having access to a keyed lock to pick. When I'm home I keep a bar across the door. The Lockpicking Lawyer has picked the Mul-T-locks before.
The Lockpicking Lawyer with all due respect he’s a highly professional lock picker and also a RUclipsr with a point of view to drive as much as views as possible... with that being said YES he could pick most of the locks out there including the Mul-T-Locks etc, but that doesn’t mean that every burglar out there could do the same! It takes years of practice to become a professional Lock picker so trust me when I’m telling you that having a good lock (high security lock) on your front door including door reinforcement will make a difference don’t think otherwise.
It should work but your double side deadbolt lock will turn to a single side as you change it to the Wyze Lock. The inside will be the Wyze Lock and the outside will remain your current lock. Hope that help
At this point it’s really all about your budget and options that you’re looking for... The Wyze Lock is much cheaper and works with your current Deadbolt lock and have a unique Auto Unlock feature and built-in gyroscope sensor for door positioning. Wyze also have a very affordable security cameras so it’s works with the same app. On the other hand the Lockly Secure Pro Deadbolt Edition is more than double on the cost and you have the 3D fingerprint access and it’s a full keypad with PIN Genie, door positioning sensor is not build-in and it’s must install above the door lock. You see both locks are good and works with Voice commend: Google assistant, Amazon Alexa apps. So it’s really depends on what you are looking for at the end of the day. Hope that help

Medeco is high security deadbolt by himself so I think you good here
