Dear Gozy, I stumbled on your channel and I have been tickled by your presentation. I have a concrete fish pond with 3 compartment that I used to grow fish years back. I abandoned that venture. I was contemplating going into hatching of fingerlings but with the dexterity of your presentation and the honesty attached to it I am contemplating changing to snail farming. Please can I convert the concrete pond to a snail pen? The pond presently has no roof. Dimensions of the 3 ponds are: 10ft/10ft, 14ft/14ft & 24ft/14ft.
Yes, you can actually convert the pond to a snail farm but some constructions and reconstructions will also need to be done to give you a befitting snail pen. For the roof aspect, it will be necessary to have one which will serve as a shield to them

Pen have no normal size, it can be big, small or medium it all depends on the farmer constructing it and also it'ss the size of pen that will determine the number of snails that will go in. In block pen is easy to locate eggs for hatchery unless green house you find it difficult to locate your eggs.
