I agree. It must be weird for Mara Rooney to watch clips like this when she was younger interacting with Robin Williams dressed up as a woman. From what I have heard based on interviews both of the (then) children were very fond of Robin who treated them like one of his own.

Out of all the major celebrity deaths that have ever happened Robin's passing was the only celebrity death I actually shed tears over. This movie was like I tried to put myself as a small kid into this movie hoping that my dad would love me enough to want to dress up disguised as an old nanny to spend time with me after the divorce of my parents but my dad wouldn't even try to see me dressed as himself. Only by court order was he forced to. I always wished Robin was my real father in real life especially how he was a true father to the teen son in this film. I just wanted my dad to accept me as his son. But he never did.

I lived in San Francisco from 1993 until 2010. I worked for a family that lived across the street from Robin Williams' home in Seacliff
He had just moved in there recently, and he had a giant wire topiary frame almost 25' tall of a T Rex dinosaur installed in his side yard, just waiting for the gardener to add the greenery. On Halloween, he passed out toothbrushes instead of candy, and the kids were bummed...
I entered a bookstore on Fillmore Street one late afternoon and realized Robin had walked in quickly ahead of me, his head down and his hands in his pockets. He spoke very softly to the cashier. He had a book on order. Complete opposite of his public persona. But it wasn't so much because he was trying to go unnoticed; he was just low-key when "off-duty"...
To prove that -- one of the best stories I had read about him in the local Nob Hill Gazette was when he and his wife Marsha were coming out of a movie theater one evening, and they were approached by a guy who just wanted to express his admiration for Robin's work. Robin and Marsha were heading off to dinner at a restaurant just down the street, and they invited the guy to join them, which he did. Dream come true for that guy!
But that's who Robin was: gracious and kind
I was a nanny back then, and one of the boys was a classmate of Robin's son, Zach
Robin Williams was "just one of the locals" to us (when he was around!), and we loved him. He was "ours"
Sorry this is so long, but I'm glad I could post this and tell people he was the real deal
My friend's husband was the fire chief who responded to the call to Robin's house in Tiburon when he died. I cried for days...
      I still miss him

What a wonderful talent Robin Williams was. One in a million. I cannot understand why he was never nominated for an Oscar for this role. He won the Golden Globe that year but alas the academy didn’t recognise his genius n talent. What a shame! He was far better than Dustin Hoffman in Tootsi, who was nominated.

Remarkable to watch. RW was the consummate actor and comedian. Relaxed, into character, with a gleam and twinkle in his eyes. He appears calm, without a hint of nerves or insecurity. And no drama or show. Just pure fun!

Robin Williams told a story in one of his interviews, (I forget when or who it was with ), he said when they were filming Mrs. Doubtfire in San Francisco, he was dressed as her and went into a sex shop. He picked up some ...object...and asked the clerk “do you have anything larger? “
    I fucking love this man

my name is muhammad I am from Iraq.Robin william loved our people, he visited my country in 2003.let me tell you about how the iraqi theater academy teach comedy in university ..that's what they say about robin and jim carrey ,I grabbed this from iraqi phd studies of art.
robin williams and jim carrey have their own unique comedy style ,
robin william = the fastest freestyle comedy, very talented,no one could repeat his style ,he is the only comedian can fit that kind of style.it is like a mold made just for him .he passed his own inspiration Jonathan winter .
jim carrey =I looked into hollywood history for an actor who could control his face the way jim did ,i could never find one ,he passed even super skilled ,silent slapstick comedians who do this type of comedy for living .jim carrey is super fast in physical as well as in observational comedy ,he is the master of surreal ,very unique in this type of comedy .
let me know if my translation is understood .

What made him stand out from all other actors was his genius at improvisation and he was a non stop laughing machine. What a wonderful man who gave it all to the world even though he had his problems and sadness. Always grateful to him, he’ll stay in my heart, always. ❤️
