I just got this pedal for the second time. You may have sold me on a Klon. Lol. This is the first time I heard it really sound special like the tube preamp of an Echoplex.
I'm running this alongside a Timeline. Really love the natural analog sounds I can get out of it. And then there's the crazy, nutso sounds too. Perfect compliment. Great demo as always, shnobel!
The basic delay sounds are great, and the comb and sweep filters are amazing. But the halo setting sounds pretty bad in my opinion, it doesn't seem to react to your playing well and it sounds very forced. But everything else sounds just beautiful.
I hear that sort halo effect trying to be done on the diamond quantum leap and the sdd3000. No one has really made it sound good yet. Prefer the Eventide crystals delay and the timeline ice delay to this.
***** It's good if you manually trigger it with the footswitch... or if you design a preset around it... it's not really a turn it on and use it like a normal delay setting... I love my E2, and usually like shnobel demos, but this one made me feel like he didn't really know how the pedal works... which is a shame... Best digital delay on the market (and some folks have sold pretty expensive analog delays after getting one as well...) but you have to treat it like a delay design kit or something... it's really unique in it's implementation and setup... Anyway... maybe he'll figure it out and post a better video :)
This is Riot Tapes - signed in on another account - not gonna bother logging out and back in, etc. Basically yes, I could, but making pedals demos takes a lot of time I don't have. If you'd like to see a decent demo of what I was talking about though, check out the PGS demo. It was the first real one and still the best IMO. For some weird reason - probably because the pedal is quite unique - people seem to make pretty meh demos of this pedal. Oh well.
Chris O'Brien - In fact I saw this one you mentioned before buying it in 2014. Sometime this year I'll also make a demo about the E2, BigSky and who knows, SuperRingTone... But in portuguese. That's why I asked you.
I had a love\hate relationship with this pedal, I bught it over a year ago to replace my DMMTT 1100 (that stupidly I've sold) and my Hazarai. I think it sounds great, modulation is awesome, but the reverse is very useless, there is a annoying pop\click on the reverse repeats, so I've send it back. :/
The opening riff sells the pedal!

+Justin Sytsma If you had to make a choice of one?
I'd probably go Timeline. I am a sucker for Strymon

I have the DIG sounds great but lack of presets is limiting
I love this delay :) I love your videos :)
Is that as bright as the repeats get? was the klon on the whole time?
can you make a video with this and the Deluxe Memory Man (big box)?
Now do the repeats compact to those of the Sentimental Bob delay?
I swear the dude aged like 15 years from the first scene to the second

You skipped the Glitch setting! What the heck?

+Claudio Zenobi Is that the only reason, who is using reverse that much?

He looks like Jeremy Renner and David Bowie had a child.
the only thing this pedal is MISSING which is a deal breaker for me is the fact that you cant program bpm unless you use the computer.
