This is a fantastic review and tutorial. It sold me on not only the echolution, but this version of the echolution. I'll go over this video again when it arrives to remind myself how to get the sounds I want.

I really like this pedal a lot, bought it right when it was available, still learning some of the ways to add new sounds to my playing. Great review Tom, it really is amazing what you can do.

Great video to get someone started on some familiarity with this unit. I just got mine a couple days ago and it's fun to just turn some dials, tap some buttons and see what happens.

I just got one of these, and it does just about everything. The only feature I can think of that it doesn’t provide is an effects loop for the delay line, but the filters and modulation cover most of the effects I put on the delayed signal. I’ve never used any of the strymons or eventide units, but I can’t see them being able to do anything that this can’t. Most importantly IT SOUNDS GREAT.

Tom. Great demo. I'm a Strymon guy but i think you sold me on the next delay pedal. Really great demo.

I had the basic echolution, it was my favourite delay sound-wise, but the control was really clunky, I swapped it for a Timeline. Over the years I have gone through a lot of delays looking for that sound; I still like the Timeline, but more often than not I use a Polymoon (highly recommended - again great, but in a different way). I use 'em more often for synths than guitars. I found a really good deal on one of these and couldn't resist getting that sound back again, but with controls this time, Yeay!.

great review! How do you think the strymon timeline compares to this one?

I sold the timeline for this and I think this is much better.

Different beasts with different designs. Strymon offers you a bunch of different "types" of delay, while Echolution let's you add tons of recipe to one "core" sound. Personally I prefer Echolution because of how easy to use it is, but both are stellar units.

The mix on mine doesn't go from complete dry to complete FX. I always hear my dry signal even at full right position. Is that how it is supposed to be?

I've noticed that too. But (as you might know) if you want the dry signal completely gone, you can always set up "kill dry Signal" in your patch.
