The Space Dog Easter Egg is one of the most infamous easter eggs in Black Ops 3 Zombies. It's easily one of the coolest additions Treyarch has ever added to a remastered map. The community solved this easter egg back in 2017 but what no one realised, is that we were doing the steps completely wrong. This has equalled in some attempts where it takes multiple tries on some of these steps to work and now we understand exactly why with this new find from JackalBoy88 and HaloMasterN00B!

i don’t think it does. it takes less effort to put the objects randomly around the map than it does to have everyone shoot mystery boxes n stuff
This was never in the original moon base map this appears to be an additional Easter egg they've added in on one of the remakes of the moon map

I still remember searching for Easter eggs for the first time on that map. aah, those were the days.
Pretty insane how no one caught this until now. Really intriguing kind of gives the game a bit of replay-ability

I refuse to believe that everyone was just accidentally shooting the Teddy bear. I also refuse to believe that no one has gone through the game files to find the proper steps.

Well they said you don't need to be aimed directly at so considering the close proximity of the teddy bear to the box i think it's not that Farfetched to say they hit it and it would be much harder to hit the dog toy given you could be aimed in the complete opposite direction since it was believed you needed to kill a dog that could be anywhere on area 51

The restraint of these devs from never giving away their easter eggs blows my mind.
To be fair, this Easter egg was considered very unimportant and very few players would have even thought to even look. So it makes sense how it could have gone unnoticed for so long

Considering I never shot all the boxes. I think it's a coding subtite having 2 methods to activate the EE. Kinda like a model t posing out of map when not used same triggers
I was gonna say I never shot them all when I did it with my friend, he read out the steps and we'd do them but I had the wavegun and never shot the boxes so Im glad I'm not the only one

Another thing about moon. On the main Easter egg, u can get the plates with the gersh device on earth and have the Richthofen/maxis conversation before the egg drops in tunnel 6

Moon is one of my all-time favorite maps, if not my #1 favorite Zombies map. The lore, easter eggs, atmosphere, and unique gameplay elements made this map top tier for me. I wish they would expand on it and make a Moon 2 map with more fleshed out mechanics and lore.
You dont need to even hit the teddy or wolf. Check glitchingqueens video about this. Your player character just need to be towards the toy and shoot even streight down to ground with wavegun and you get the toy

@@MrDalekJD Honetly the way you showed the Teddy might be the "right way" to do it. Who really knows. Queens method is quite buggy if you ask me.
I'm glad someone reputable finally posted about this I've been trying to tell people this for years now and they didn't believe me.... I've literally had to play hundreds of games with random people because they didn't believe me just to show them this....
The fact we accidentally did it somehow without even knowing is absolutely just amazing. Just somehow the wave gun is shooting what was needed XD
What I love is that If we do something wrong treyarch just be like "You're wrong" without telling us on what

Yea I kinda figured something was up with tiny teddy part while doing the space dog easter egg cuz when I was trying it, that method of shooting every single bear in the box locations was just not working and I was suuuuper confused cuz I was like “Im literally following the steps MrDalekJD is saying” and the homies kept telling me I was making it up🤦🏽♂️😂

Very cool! Incredible that the steps were almost correct. We knew the bone was outside the map, it only makes sense that the other pieces were too. I'm guessing that was their reasoning for reassessing the steps as understood.
I remember seeing people go out of bounds and seeing the bear and thinking it was just stored out there waiting to be activated, little did we know, we actually had to shoot it

I just wanted to know if you have ever discovered the movie discs in tag der toten? About the time when the map came out I was diving around in the underwater cave in tag der toten right besides the lighthouse and found 1 of two discs the other one located on a crate at the lake with pack a punch.
Edit: The first disc is located in the “celling” of the underwater cave
I don't see anything about it online, does it do anything when you find both? Also can you pick it up and when you do does it show up In your parts menu?
They are radios. I want to say you use them in the vril device room in the facility but idr

@@joemama9824 yes you can pick them up and i think there is a radio somewhere by the second disc, but it has been a while so i don’t remember where they are placed or if i ever found where. And No they don’t show up in the inventory.
Hey Dalek! at some time i would really love if youd make a video addressed to treyarch and just kinda do an overview explaining why bo3 zombies was the best and encourage them to finally start making the zombies community happy again. Like vangaurd and cold war just felt like the maps had no personality and neither did the characters. crazy that maps created 8 years ago are somehow more detailed and incredible than maps made in 2021. The detail made bo3 maps feel like they were alive, the eggs were rewarding, following the same set of characters throughout their journey, and grinding for gobble gums, all features that also made bo3 zombies great. Treyarch has been in an identity crisis since cold war and hopefully addressing them and expressing what we want and things we dont want will hopefully make the next game better. id be so happy if you did that

Not sure if this is true or not, but I saw somewhere a year or so ago, a picture of an ex treyarch devs tweet saying that there are still undiscovered secrets in world at war’s zombies maps. That would be absolutely crazy if true

I think the answer to how the teddy bear was being hit was more it was the bear that appears when one of the boxes move and it just teleports to that box briefly.

Who surprised me is that there is multiple ways to the an easter egg, and if moon is like this them it wouldn't surprise me if more maps are like this and what secret they may or may not unveil. There is still a ton of Easter eggs that still haven't been found and may never be
