- This is the very large H0 scale model railway layout of the model railroad club Kiel (Germany), filmed in December 2006 with several German model trains:
Vossloh/MaK G2000, Russian-built East German BR 232, romanian-built BR219, Blue Tiger (BR 252), E18 and some steam locomotives on an impressive viaduct/trestle.

this is definetely a great hobby for everyone who would seriously think of building one its great because it take so much time that you can focus on every little detail that you want to have :) its like you can form your own little model railway universe that you can control "the power is in your hands..." :)
Wow... I'm blown away by the detail... even down to the power lines. Excellent job.
Als Modellbahn Fan find ich die Anlage super! Es ist großartig und realistisch bis ins Detail.
Why would anybody hit the "dislike" button on this video? I don't understand. Very nice job, thanks.
VERY NICE LAYOUT GREAT CRAFTSMANSHIP
Fantastic. Makes me wish I was two inches tall for a day.
I am not a member of the club, so I don´t know how they did it. But I suppose both the bridge and the castle are made from modified pre-fabricated elements (Faller, Vollmer, kibri etc.).
Amazing Model Railway
That is a "Blue Tiger": originally these locos were developed for Indonesia by ADtranz (today Bombardier) and General Electric. In Germany they run as class 250 and are operated by several private railroad companies.
amazing! great job on the castle town!
Super Seiten, NThusiast!!! ... Und mein Videoauftritt dazu!!!
I'm trying to make my own small layout, although I like trains my favorite thing is making buildings!
nice layout
In Germany H0 is the most popular scale, but I don´t think 0 is more realistic than H0. For 0 you need a lot of room. And when you are a beginner, you often don´t have this room. "Mit freundlichen Grüßen" (Good Greetings) from Germany
very very veryyyy nice maked!!!!!!!!!!!!
spettacolare!!!
wow transport tycoon in real life
good one
@spinosaurus98 - This question gets asked a lot. HO is scaled to 3.5mm/1 foot, or ratio 1:87. OO is scaled to 4mm/1 foot, or ratio 1:76.2. Both run on 16.5mm gauge track, which is closer to scale for HO than OO. The size difference is noticable - if you can find HO and OO models of the same loco or carriage, the HO one will be 7/8ths the linear dimensions of the OO one.
bellissimo!!
perfeito em seus detalhes.
wunderbar
@juliocprp
hello, thanks!
No, but AFAIK it´s Roco Flex. I´m not a club meber myself.
great!
super !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :))) gud joob !!!
cool sprawa:)))
it´s from Mehano I think. Look at Ebay.
several years, and it still isn´t completed ...
THX
@juliocprp - I know Frateschi. There's a model train shop in the north of Brisbane that sells some items. Not real popular (not many Australians model Brazilian railways), but good for beginners.
LOL!, At leats he was honest about it :P.
Something i will have to take note of lol
when you look at stuff like this... Don't you just wish you had a shrink ray and you could shrink yourself so it would all be like 'this is the real world and outside is the massive, depressing world'?
Buena maqueta. Merece un vídeo mejor realizado.
Great video ;o)
And which company sells the lokomotive in H0~?
impresioante
thats so cool how long did it take to build it?
There are a few ideas for building a railroad layout yourself
Find a proven set of plans online
Find a colleague who wants to build one too so you have someone to encourage you
(I read these and the reasons they work from Jareks Hobby Club website )
@MMMAAAXXXBBB
das kann man nicht direkt beeinflussen. Das hängt von der Beliebtheit ab; davon, wie viele Leute das Video favorisieren oder wie sie es bewerten etc. So wie beim SEO von Google auch.
@NThusiast hehehe... is a model layout EVER completed? :)
You could get a loft conversion and start from there
awsome layout,
im gonna be hated for this but in the title it says "Big Ho"
im gonna get so much hate mail...
What lokomotive is passing at 0:49?
@LordoftheKaty - same reason most modern American ones are - it's cheaper to build them that way.
sorry aber wenn ich das sagen darf, ich persönlich finde das miniatur wunderland in hamburg schon soe ine bischen bisser ;-) warst du da schonmal? Ich war da schon über 30mal :)naja
its cind of an exspensive hobby I guess..
and what about TT? :)
Wie hast du so viele Views bekommen??? o_O
Chooooooo Choooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Wow, that is amazing! Very beautiful scenery. I am amazed by that arch bridge and CASTLE! How did you make them, please tell here or email me :) And.. as franloveswillye42546 said, I am also short on money and space, so I try to find some pleasure in scale plastic and paper models and miniatures (especially gaming, like Warhammer 40K). Good luck!
i am 13 should i get one of these for a hobby or are trains stupid and fot little kids
i thought it was real lol
