I ran 3.7 Miles with my gt2 today and I went out at 96 percent battery . I played music for 35 minutes running from the watch on ear Budds and I had gps on and I came back at 92 percent battery . Excellent watch
10/10 review. Informative, concise, technical and review style was nice too. I would call this more of a fitness tracker than a smart watch personally.
I've been using the 46 GT2 watch for 14 days. My comments are: 1- I used this watch with always on display and workout for 1 hour daily. The battery lasts to 5 days 2- when I'm exercising I can't go back and play music, check weather,... I should play the music first and then start excercises 3- sleep monitor gives only the total sleep hours for the last night only, with no detail, if you need more details you should go to the Huawei app. I used Xiaomi Stratos before, it was giving me graphs and sleep details in the watch. 4- I didn't find a longitude and latitude data ( it could be there but I couldn't find it) 5- bluetooth range is not as described (150 m) , it could hardly reach 7 ms insite flat Despite the above points, it is a good watch
you probably dont care but if you're stoned like me atm you can stream pretty much all of the latest movies and series on InstaFlixxer. Been watching with my girlfriend for the last few days xD
Does the watch show maps or trail during the activity? and is there a go back to start mode for navigation? you know just in case we want to back track our trail/
Thanks for the video! I'm wondering how fast is the GPS sensor. Once you click "start an outdoor running", how long does it take to have a steady GPS signal so you can start runing? I'm currently using a Garmin Vivosport but it sometimes takes more than ten minutes to find a proper GPS signal, even on a sunny day. I'm considering switching to Huawei GT2, but the speed of the GPS is key for me. Thanks!

I was researching heart rate sensor technology in smartwaches a while ago and from what I've read even the cheapest sensor you can build into a watch, like even the least expensive knock off still usually has an accuracy close to a tolerance of something like 3BPM. But smart watches due to movement from the sensors on the skin have no real chance to give 100% accurate readings anyways. I'll link you an article. @@eccomi21 thanks for the link, but my watch active 2 even at slow walking still cant meet up with my polar h10 chest strap, my apple watch series 4 accuracy with the polar h10 is neck to neck. I believe the HR on series 4 couse is more accurate during runing or walking. I have already returned the gt2 it does not meet up to my expectation. Am thinking to return my watch active 2. Couse the heart rate is a mess . I dont know if it is a softwear issue or hardwear.

I got the classic variant, 46 mm, of course (need battery), and I still haven't charged it since I put it out of the box. Then, the battery level was 70%, now on 15%...well, it was just one week ago...but hey, I firmly believe that I am getting 20 days battery easily. Notifications only sms text, g and Hotmail, and Instagram (and calls, of course). Facebook and WhatsApp are off (they're too many and not so important), always on display is off since I realized that the move to look to the display actually works 99 on 100 times very well (my amazfit simply doesn't...) and using GPS only when going to gym (3 times a week) for tracking sports activity and heartbeat. The menu for sleep control is very complete and I love the fact that it gives you the ability to see all these facts you didn't know about what's going on at night (I mean the times you wake up and don't remember...) In fact I love this watch, and since I bought it, my stratos 2 is now for sale, never used it again. I ve chosen the classic edition because it gives you access to a second pair of straps that you can use for sports. And change it for a more elegant moment, with it's brown beautiful original one. I am left with some unanswered questions. What system does it use? Probably not wear os. How does it behaves under the sun? It's a beautiful watch but with no always on display no downloadable apps I don't think it's for me.
Great Video! But there is one thing, You did not mention and many people do not now. When you are doing a workout, the watch does not inform you about incoming messages. There is no vibration and you can not read it, as long as the workout is running. This is a no/go for me, because notifications, even during workouts are one of the most important things on a smart watch for me. When you are in a gym or you are walking a long distance and tracking it, it is not comfortable using the phone again when you own a smartwatch!

Is the pulse accurate for training with weights and / or hiit? Can the pulse, chronometer and audio player be used at the same time?

Very good watch for interval training. For low intensity training, the heart rate reading tends to be 20bpm more

active 2. Better in general. (Also able to downlaod third party apps on the samsung one, as this one doesnt allow you to do that)
But the Samsung galaxy active 2 is more expensive than the huawei
