I went from a Samsung S10 plus to the S22. I love it, lovely simple design, nice phone to hold and dig the cameras. If you're not a power-user the battery will be fine.
Me too, going from an S10 to the S22 was a great upgrade! I thought the S10 was the best phone I'd ever bought but the S22 really is a big upgrade to that, from the design, cameras, software support, display, user experience and honestly even the battery life (although this could be from the end of life view for the S10). I understand that everyone is disappointed by the S22s battery performance but I've actually found it to last me over a day with sometimes 50-25% left
I'm sticking with my trusty S10 for the foreseeable future. I find the S22 and it's predecessor the S21 to be a downgrade from the S10 overal. Plus the design doesnt do it for me, I thought the S21 looked cheap and ugly with its plastic back and that big ugly camera bulge wich makes it annoying to place on a flat surface. And the lack of a mirco SD card slot and headphone jack just annoys me as well. Samsung used to poke fun at Apple when they removed the headphone jack and now they've gone and done the same. I think I am done with Samsung and once my S10 craps out I'm going to look elsewhere for a phone that suits me better than Samsungs current offerings.
@@curious5661 That's fair, tbh the lack of a mSD slot did annoy me (not so much the removal of the 3.5mm jack since I only use Bluetooth but it would've been nice to have) but I bought the 256GB model anyway which is much more than what I need. Do you know what phone you're going to opt for instead?
I have the phone and being a light user (few calls, texting, social media and light gaming), I can make it through most days. The only time the phone gets near its last gasps is when I am out and about and taking pics and videos. Being in India I have the Snapdragon model though, and the 8 Gen 1 also gets pretty warm under sustained workloads. However, I love every other aspect of the phone. It doesn't feel like I'm carrying a brick, the design is great (I like this design better than the Ultra's), the camera captures beautiful stills and good videos, and the screen is just awesome. Given these plus points, and the fact that on most days my usage is light, this phone works great for me. 🙂
@@anosvoldigoat3351 Can't speak about the Exynos version from experience, but what I am seeing from reviews is that they are pretty close in terms of performance. Battery life could be slightly better on Snapdragon.
@@arkantochiron oh the reason is I switched from exynos note 20 to snapdragon s22 ultra didn't notice any difference at all but ppl still like to shit on exynos so I was trying to learn about other user experiences Thanks for your experience
@@arkantochiron yup amazing phone, happy they have the SD version to us in india. But artificial light photos are still a mess on this phone. Very grainy and soft with a lot of noise. The in hand feel is absolutely amazing. Battery is ok for a user like me(no games but everything else) 6 hours sot. Overall happy eith the phone but still miss my tiny s10e lol
US user here. Totally digging the phone! I work a desk job - so don't use the phone a whole lot on weekdays - mostly use it on wifi for music, and occasionally checking twitter and such. For me, battery has been pretty pretty great - 1 1/2 days between charges on most days. I would totally trade off a smaller battery for a phone that fits in my pockets and isn't thick as a brick! Same phone with a horizontal camera bar like Pixel would be even better.
Samsung really mucks about in this area - S20 didn't have a proper Tele, then the S20 FE did...then they went to the S21 which didn't have a telephoto 🤔
@@StringyPete The poor battery life is so annoying I have to stop playing online games with my mates and charge up the phone constantly throughout the day 🙄
I've found the battery life has gotten better as time has passed. Overall, it hasn't really been a deal breaker for me, especially as I picked it up for £537 for the 256gb version with a trade in for a zero value phone. They gave me Disney Plus and Galaxy Buds Pro too so a no-brainer for me really.
I just got mine last week i upgraded from a S7 that i got at launch lol so the upgrade was well worth it since i always run my phones to the ground before i make a switch. I really like this phone its so nice and shiny :)
I'm also about to switch from my S7! The lower third of my screen started to flicker the past couple of weeks before it finally went black haha. I can still interact there, I just can't see what I'm interacting with, and since the s7 is quite old now, I decided I'd switch to a new phone and I've been considering models. I'm liking the s22 because it's one of the smaller phones. How have you been liking the s22 so far?
@@PandaCatXD I bought a refurbished Samsung galaxy S7. But whoever did it put crappy cameras in. ☹ Definitely not as good as my original S7 I had, got this for a nostalgia hit. But I want a good daily driver and good cameras are a must. I like the looks of the S22 and I can buy a 256gb model for a great price. Should I go for it???
Thanks for the video! I already had the S22 standard version of the Galaxy line & I love it! However I do agree that for heavy users this is not a phone for them! My usual use is between 3 & 4 hours of SOT! I'm also retired so I can charge my phone any time of the day or night! Great video as usual! I do think the Snapdragon varient is better for battery life!
Ok Lena, but how much battery do you have left & how late in the day is that! I've gotten as much as 6 hours SOT, but had very little (5%) at about 9pm or so!
Half-hearted is a quite accurate description of a lot of Samsung devices these days. Case in point, the A53 is another one of these half-hearted devices as well...
It has a lovely design. I think they did very well there. Mostly nice hardware, but I've never liked the Samsung software - especially the fact that so many things are duplicated. And not improving the battery life (which already was mediocre at best on the S21) is unforgivable. The last thing I want in a mobile phone these days is battery anxiety. I thought we moved away from that at least 5 years ago.
Go graze some green fields apple sheep! You neither have the honesty or intelligence to talk about mobile tech. Samsung UI is probably the most stable android os out there. Also samsung provides most no. of android updates than any other smartphone brand in android segment (even better than google).
The duplicates you're talking about, some people call them having more choices, you sound like an Apple or Pixel user. 5 years ago phones had such powerful SoCs, such bright displays and 120Hz refresh rate?
If someone wants to use the S22 like a phone from 5 years ago, they might want to set their display to 60Hz, limit SoC power and display brightness, this is somewhere in the battery settings. It will last a full day easily.
@@d.shadocx9277 It might come as a shock to you but pretty much every phone released this year and the last has battery life that is much better than the S22. That includes phones with 120Hz screens and top of the line SoC. I can think of only two phones that are similarly bad or worse than the S22, and that's the S21 and the ZenFone 8. Even the iPhone 12 had better battery life. And choice is indeed good, but they can make that choice available in their app store. They don't have to cram your new phone full with it. And to end, well spotted, I use both iPhones and Pixels (I used OnePlus previously). I had an S21 for a month and I thought it was dreadful. OneUI is not good. Surprisingly buggy as well, but I let that go because Android 12 was still new then and it's not like Apple or Google perform much better in that department.
After having two pixel 6's both so buggy and unstable I thought I'd go for the S22. I adore this phone! Only down side is like said the battery life is poor! I've found if you get yourself a magsafe case and charger your have the battery covered! 😀🥳
I ordered the pixel 6 on launch day (so got the free headphones!) The bulid quality and design was brilliant. After a couple of days the biometrics in the screen were unresponsive, the screen would flicker after being on for a short duration (using Waze) the sound would go on calls they could hear me, I couldn't hear them. It would overheat and freeze, shut down, the camera wouldn't always launch. Bluetooth wouldn't always connect. So after a month of this I contacted Google and they sent me a replacement. The same happened with the second handset! (I should have kept my pixel 5! ) So I pre-ordered the Samsung galaxy S22. And waited a lifetime to get it- that's another story! I won't be going back to Google anytime soon! 😄
I think Samsung made a bad decision by choosing to trim down the battery for the sake of few millimeters slimmer phone. They choose form over substance. It would be better to make a slightly thicker body to accommodate the proper battery size especially when the phone at hand is a compact one. Users would appreciate the longer battery life more than slimmer "sleek" design.
It's becoming clear to me that the big names are doing this to try and get people to go for the Plus or Ultra names. I think they are purposely making the phones generally last just enough for a day for the normal user and they know we're using phones more and more so people will want the bigger battery and go for the Plus - or, for people to feel the need to upgrade every couple of years or so.
if u want more batery life and more size go for 4500mh s22+ , i prefer smaller phones, and there are people that don t use 4 to 6 hours their phones, people that live more.
@@TheCarrigrockHe said normal dude. People complaining about battery are smartphone toxic users, life comes first no need to stare your eyes on scree all day long
The problem with crackling speakers is becoming more widespread/known. It's a design flaw. The phone doesn't seem to have a good way of equalizing pressure. Ejecting the Sim tray is a temporary fix.
Bought and currently use S22 5G 256GB for two weeks. Battery kinda drain fast compared to my old S10+. Obviously SD 8 Gen 1 is power hungry and not so effienct. Managed to get 4-5 screen time so far. Had to turn off adaptive screen refresh rate 120hz most of the time plus the phone prone to warm during daily use.
I been using S22 more than 2 weeks now, I'm moderate user with a little bit of light gaming, My S22 can last more than 24h of usage with 5-6 hours SOT using from 85% to 15% battery (I turned on protect battery so I only charge my phone max to 85% only), the standby battery also good only dropped 3% over 7 hours of my sleep. I use my phone mostly for media consumption like RUclips/movie/series, browsing, social media like Instagram/Twitter/whatapp, using shopping apps, 10-15 minutes of camera, 30 minutes of gaming like COC. Overall I pretty satisfied with battery life of this phone with my usage. My model is snapdragon variant.
Yes, if you mainly watch media then any phone will have very good battery, the SE3 lasts >10 hours. I think it is very subjective. If you are like me and do not watch media on my phone (too small screen, use tablet) and am on 5G some of the day with higher brightness when outside, battery life is much less. Yesterday in 36 hours I got just over 3 hours SoT with my S22U.
@@andyH_England that why I said based on my usage pattern and you also should buy phone based on your usage & choose phone with better battery life, I bought this phone just because of I need flagship android with good camera, flat screen & compact size by today standard, and I know what I will do & use with my phone so it's look like I choose the right phone with my preferable usage because this phone can last me a full days with single charged
@@pudinichigo91 Yes, but it still means that if you get 6 hours with the s22 then you will get 7 hours with the Xiaomi 12 and maybe 9 hours on an iPhone 13. It works for you but in a year you will have a 10% depleted battery and maybe getting nearer empty for many?
@@andyH_England I don't buy Xiaomi anymore because I don't like curve screen and my previous phone is S20 that why I prefer S21 or S22 with flat display, and I also prefer android flagship over iOS, so I can't find any phone that match my preference other than S21/S22, I used to be Xiaomi & OnePlus user before but they stick with trend using bigger screen & curve display so that I why I switched to Samsung

Playing Diablo Immortal and Star Rail on my S22+. Runs like a champ!! I don't expect any smartphones to run all day long with demanding games. It's unfair to slam a phone for battery life when you run games like Genshin impact... Love this phone!!
Unfortunately it looks like this year's Snapdragon and Exynos chipset are not very battery efficient thanks to Samsung semiconductor. Next year Snapdragon will be made by TSMC and it'll be much more efficient
Battery life is getting better, but you need to look around a little. Maybe consider the plus model if battery is the only point of contention, or look for Chinese efforts which have great battery lives, but at the expense of software experience (aggressive RAM management kills apps more frequently).
@Jonas keirs It depends a lot on a person's use case & on the settings. The other day my gf's iPhone 12 was dead by 21:00 & my S22 had 40% battery left. RUclips battery tests are fine, but real world use is different.
I got a S22 Exynos for a good price, I enjoy using it a lot, it feel so ´premium and the software runs very good and fluid. My last phone was a Poco F3 it's a nice phone, but the software have some issues and bugs.
Just got a S22 Ultra (Exy) today and the battery drain is noticeable there as well. Though about getting the Xiaomi 12 Pro or Find X5 Pro instead, but the support policy turned me back to Samsung. Let's hope battery is actually something they improve with updates on all their models. Else I will be an sorry ass for not taking the Find X5 Pro which would also have gotten me 256gb instead of just 128gb of storage.
I also have S22U with Exynos and battery drain is a big issue. You can get 4-5hrs SoT if you are constantly using the phone, non-stop, maybe more if all you do is watch videos, but if you are a normal user, using, standby, then using again and so on, the standby drain kills the battery. I bought a secondhand OPPO Find X5 Pro for just over £700 and am much happier, getting 6 hours with the same use I get 3-4 hrs with the S22U. It also comes with a real fast charger, screen protector and case, plus as you said 256GB/12GB base, which is £100 more for that variant S22U in the UK. The £550 saving with better battery and RAM management was the best thing I did and now I have to offload my unwanted S22U somehow! the OPPO for me is a far better user experience, ColorOS is super-slick and I prefer to OneUI. OPPO now gives three Android updates and that will mean four years of software support which is enough for most of us. Samsung is dominant in the US and their phones are overhyped and not very good despite all the Samsung Knights fist-pumping in the comments.
I believe Samsung will iron out the battery issues over time. My S21 has had its battery improved since One Ui 4. Its normal for your S22 Ultra to drain like crazy since its still trying to learn your usage, after a few days it should be fine
I've been runnning S8 ever since it launched. It's still running smooth like butter, but the body is starting to show its age and I am considering an upgrade. The regular S22 doesn't speak to me... The Ultra does, but BOY is it expensive.
I'm in exactly the same position. Although, it's also how frequently I'm now having to charge my S8 that is causing me a problem. I can get the S22 for around £450 so it's putting me off anything else because other than the battery, it seems to be so much better overall at that price than anything else. But if the battery ends up like my current S8 unfortunately is now, it will drive me insane. Which other handsets are you considering?
Same boat. Still packing my preorder S8 from 2017. Still practically flawless, but no more updates and that's a problem. Not sure I want to spend for an S22 when so many complaints about battery life even when new. Considering a Pixel 7.
Nice review, but there's a lot of complaining about the battery life. I see a lot of complaining these days of batteries not lasting all day. Seriously, if you keep your phone in your face the whole day to where the battery runs down, you have a problem and need help. When it gets to 60% or so, 40% at a bare minimum, set it down on a wireless charging pad for a few minutes, and you're good to go for a few more hours. If you're out and about, charge it while in your car moving from one place to another, or if at your desk while at work, again place it on a charging pad. There's also the option of carrying around, or having handy, a power bank to help keep it charged up.
I have read the apps are crashing and the phone is resetting. Mixed reviews. Some people have no problems and love there devices. It seems also the old flagship phones never had these problems.
So let me get this straight: the technical software inside the S22 is good, but the bad news is the hardware of the model such as the battery is fragile - similar to an iPhone model, I've never owned an iPhone or the S22, I do have a Galaxy J4 Plus phone that's still going well since I had it from 30th December 2018
I have the S22+ and no complaints at all. It's in Mous case and I bought a hybrid screen protector which feels so much better than the one that came with my S10+. I'm not a heavy user but I'm getting a good couple of days out of it before it starts telling me it needs feeding. So, I love it.
@@G18_120fps yes. I don't feel any need to upgrade yet. Battery life seems to be good. Camera is superb. The little earbuds that came with it far exceed my expectations.
I'm still rocking the Sony Xperia XZ1, (Sonys Flagship back in 2017). I use it for gaming even today, (games like WoT Blitz) and it still holds alright. The battery on the XZ1 is 1000 less then the S22, and the battery does take a beating with WoT Blitz. I saw an amazing deal for the S22 with 02. £19 upfront cost, £25 per month with 100GB 5G Data, Unlimited Texts/Calls for 24 months. However, I've been a Sony user for 10 years, yet the Xperia 1 IV is twice the monthly price, and the specs are somewhat similar barring a few obvious things in which the Xperia IV trumps the S22.
i have a samsung s9 plus, but i just got an s22 going to get it in a few days in the mail. im assuming its a rly good upgrade, but your vids make me certain it is.
Come on dude. You've reviewed this twice and both times falsely stated the S22 has a lower variable refresh rate. It doesn't. It's a 48Hz low-frequency LTPS, like the S21 before it. Only the S22 Ultra has an LTPO display.
My Poco F3 easily gets to 10pm with on average 40% to 50% left. Even on a bad day there will be 20% after a full days use. I like the look of the S22 but that battery puts me off.
the battery won't be an issue to you then, my Poco f3 needs charging at least twice a day, usage probably averages at 9 hours a day (I use it for a lot of things). if yours has 50% left then the s22 battery wouldn't be bad for you
@@runayswarts970 Poco just has better sustained performance. SD 870 maybe more efficient but definitely not as powerful as the 8 gen 1 and Samsung's cameras just blow Poco midrange cameras.
Long live the S20 series and midrange phones. They have more in common by offering more bang for your buck features than the last two years of flagships.
Camera is better than than iphone 13 pro, handy design but the battery life is poor since I am heavy user, honest review - also has Audio lag issue on RUclips , seems to slow down when multiple apps are open! Got mine from EE thinking of returning it
Like mine a lot got it for 494 with trade in so a bargain really. Battery life is okay for me. With 30% by end of the day with relatively heavy work use.
Yer I've found the s22 good but abit underwhelming never found myself going, wow! at any point and im upgrading from s10 lite. Then there is the battery, okay for my needs, just . However As this is a flag ship phone with a hefty price tag thats just not good enough you really shouldn't buy this phone. Samsung shouldn't release a flagship that can't do a full 24 hours with light to moderate use. Regardless of form factor.
Tne thing I like the most about this phone is the design. The thin bezel is so beautiful. I just hate the small battery. That's the only issue for me. I stick to Samsung due to the display and that bixby routine.
I like the s22 overall, even w its "fatal flaw." battery's not typically an issue for me. since I rarely go anywhere (due to concerns ab the ongoing pandemic), I just use my laptop for most things, leaving my phone idle. I'm kind of an exception case tho, and even w this in mind, I'd still go for the plus model just because I tend to have bigger phones anyway; I currently have the 6.7" moto g stylus 5g (2021). I'm pretty excited to see what they do w the s23, tho ! :)
In the US here. Decided to get the s22 because att was offering a crazy $800 trade in for my old s8. Couldn’t pass that up. I looked at the s22, s22+, and s22 ultra, and eventually decided on the +. I didn’t like the size and curved screen of the ultra (although I did want the camera) and didn’t like the battery size of the s22. So far so good on the +. The battery lasts me all day on average use which should be expected I suppose with a 4500 battery. I don’t game, but I do have many hours of screen time. I don’t think I’d pay $1000 outright for it, but it’s worth it if you can get a decent trade in.
Been using s22(exynos)for a week and i will be returning it. This phone lags so much when using PiP on video calls. This phone performs worst compared to my zflip 3.
Have this phone, can confirm the battery is infact completely ass, 5 hours screen on time absolute max. I mainly use the Pixel 6 my work gave me instead.
I have the graphite S22 & as long as I don't have the brightness maxed out all the time I can get 8-9 hrs of screen on time, but I do tweak a lot of settings, & have the system & every app in dark mode, in order to get that SoT. Watching a movie I lose about 12% battery an hour, it's great for flights & long train journeys.
Everyone saying they are loving it. Well I don't. The exenos version 1. Battery live on the plus sucks. Basically turn of 120hz or it's useless. 2. It's choppy straight out of the box. Normally a new phone is snappy this is not. 3. The video is grainy in anything except perfect lighting. Especially on the wide-angle lens. Also the wide angle lens video looses completely against my 4 year old mid teat mi 9t pro. Lol wtf, that phone was 350 euro vs 1100 for this crap. Luckily the USB port died after 2 months of use and I got my money back lol. For the first time in my life I will leave android and try the iPhone 13 pro. I fing hate apple. The fact that your going to see me with one means Samsung failed big time. They screwed us over with the exenos.
Two months in and have to keep the phone in battery saver to get the battery to last to end of day. Even with the reduced processor speed in this mode, surprised it still gets uncomfortably hot in the hand when browsing /watching RUclips. Not sure I'm going to keep this phone long . . .

I have both devices. The S21 5G on AT&T and the S22 on T-Mobile. I love the S22, but my S21 is definitely a better device overall, but the S22 has a better camara.
samsung has been on a really bad trend lately with removing the headphone jack from their phones, and why are the batteries getting WORSE??? shouldn't they get better???
But is it okay to measure the battery just based on numbers? Lower mah doesn't mean bad battery... I have read review of people saying with time, battery life became more stable and reliable !! And headphones jack - every Phone company is removing them even in there smaller phones - blaming samsung for doing it is wrong.... It is part of evolution... If you want a phone with headphones jack they are phone out there you can buy... "Android has a phone for everyone"

That bad battery mainly have to do with the exynos. Samsung fabrication is pure cr@p compared to TSMC. No wonder SD 8 gen 1 plus is being fabricated at TSMC instead samsung.

Spoiler alert! It's just another Samsung S series handset. If you've got an S20 or S21 you're not going to see a huge difference. Basically, you'd be a fool to upgrade to this from an S20/21.
I have same complaint pretty great phone really except the battery but even still with 25w charger it only takes 30-40mins to fill back up its just annoying if u happen to not be able to have access to a socket. Found it takes better zoom pics than my old S21 Ultra with the ai camera X3 zoom always amazes me how blurry writing somehow becomes clear even indoor which the S21 Ultra struggles with.
I went from a Samsung Galaxy S10+ to the S22+ and the S10 was 100 times a better phone. I haven't had a phone as bad as the S22 since like 2010. I think my flip phone in 2005 was better. This is the worst phone and I hate it. I run my own business and cannot tell you how many times I have had my work day interuppted while out because this stupid phone is dying, has died, lasts for 2 hours if I am doing Zoom meetings and phone calls, and apps constantly crashing. 🙂

I was comparing it to s22 ultra in terms of camera performance and was very impressed with it 😉
I like how samsung became the go to phone for software updates 😄 well done!
Surprised no one mentioned that Samsung actually put a real 3x telephoto lens on the S22 instead of a fake 3x digital zoom on the S20 & S21
it's fake? then why does it have a third camera?
@@zioxei that third camera is a regular higher resolution camera that crops in instead of being a telephoto lens.
Although it does a better job of it than say, the digital zoom of the 64mp camera on the A52s
Samsung really mucks about in this area - S20 didn't have a proper Tele, then the S20 FE did...then they went to the S21 which didn't have a telephoto 🤔

Half-hearted is a quite accurate description of a lot of Samsung devices these days. Case in point, the A53 is another one of these half-hearted devices as well...
A device that is worse than its previous iteration (A52S) is a worrying sign. The battery on S22 is smaller than S21 (!).

Easely my favorite phone reviews on the Tube. Some epic cat pics in camera review 😄
My favourite was the yawn, and the selfie feature.
Exactly.
How buggy was the pixel 6, I had a 4a 5g that always complained of was overheating in summer taking photos
I get 7-9 hours of sot on mine. I don't consider that bad
I am waiting for my S22 to arrive. Switching from my pixel 6.
Funny, I swapped from samsung phones to pixel and haven't looked back since.

Overall I pretty satisfied with battery life of this phone with my usage. My model is snapdragon variant.
Yes, if you mainly watch media then any phone will have very good battery, the SE3 lasts >10 hours. I think it is very subjective. If you are like me and do not watch media on my phone (too small screen, use tablet) and am on 5G some of the day with higher brightness when outside, battery life is much less. this is not about the +
The battery life makes this phone dead in the water imo. Is it just me or is battery life getting worse on phones?
true. the go up and down generation after generation
Unfortunately it looks like this year's Snapdragon and Exynos chipset are not very battery efficient thanks to Samsung semiconductor. Next year Snapdragon will be made by TSMC and it'll be much more efficient
On Android. Yeah, sure
That's what puts me off Poco devices. Samsung's one Ui is way better
I agree, and turn off 5g...if you do not need it. Why have a phone search for 5G when you are at home or inside a building.
I've been runnning S8 ever since it launched. It's still running smooth like butter, but the body is starting to show its age and I am considering an upgrade.
The regular S22 doesn't speak to me... The Ultra does, but BOY is it expensive.
i have s8 from 2018, that phone is 5.8 the 22 ultra is 6.8 and over 70 grams heavy, i prefer more compact phones so the regular s22 its just perfect.
@@dmtb4455 how did it end? Did you buy the S22?If yes, how was the Battery compared to the s8 ?
Same boat. Still packing my preorder S8 from 2017. Still practically flawless, but no more updates and that's a problem. Not sure I want to spend for an S22 when so many complaints about battery life even when new. Considering a Pixel 7.
I'm getting one through the post today, upgraded yesterday from a galaxy s8, which served me well from 2018.
The people that complain about battery life are usually those with 6+ hours of screen time while they should be more concerned about their health.
More than. Just the battery.
I have read the apps are crashing and the phone is resetting. Mixed reviews. Some people have no problems and love there devices. It seems also the old flagship phones never had these problems.
Hmm, that battery life could be an issue. Thanks for the helpful review!
My mom’s iPhone 13 PM battery lasts 2-3 days.
I have the S22+ and no complaints at all. It's in Mous case and I bought a hybrid screen protector which feels so much better than the one that came with my S10+. I'm not a heavy user but I'm getting a good couple of days out of it before it starts telling me it needs feeding. So, I love it.

I didn’t like the size and curved screen of the ultra (although I did want the camera) and didn’t like the battery size of the s22. So far so good on the +. The battery lasts me all day on average use which should be expected I suppose with a 4500 battery. I don’t game, but I do have many hours of screen time.
There is more to battery life than screen on time however everyone conveniently leaves that out...
What are you doing on your screen during those 5 hours though?
Not sure I'm going to keep this phone long . . .

As for am-hung haven't bought anything from them since the S6, already it was way overpriced at $600 USD, for damn sure ain't paying $1200 ++ for less than true absolute best of the best for each and every component in it. Apps that shut down without input? Very poor battery life? No thanks.
Came for the review, stayed because of Shikimori's wallpaper in the thumbnail
Go for the S21 5G, S22 battery drains so fast
It's only a 3700 mAh battery on a power hungry phone, lackluster battery life is expected.
I have both devices. The S21 5G on AT&T and the S22 on T-Mobile. I love the S22, but my S21 is definitely a better device overall, but the S22 has a better camara.
I just got this phone. No wall plug-in charger (cable included is not even a USB cable) no headphones, no headphone plug.
I'm not having any battery issues at all. Regularly have more than 30 percent left at the end of the day. Average use too
how is dead at 9pm or 10 pm not an all day phone. seems like an all day for most people
I've just moved from an s7 to s22 and apart from the size and the home button, It's all very familiar.
I currently have the S20 FE and the battery on that is shocking, I sometimes have to charge 2 times a day, just ordered the s22 today
Currently have s20fe and thinking of upgrading to s22
Is it worth it?
That's weird cos I have an s20fe and my battery is an absolute beast. Lasts ages
How's the battery now? I have s20 fe too and thinking of upgrading
Thank you
What makes me sad about S22 is QHD+ display is no more 😢
The S21 didn't have it either, I came from a S7 to a S21 and I do see the difference
I like those wallpapers 😅, where do you get it?
samsung has been on a really bad trend lately with removing the headphone jack from their phones, and why are the batteries getting WORSE??? shouldn't they get better???
But is it okay to measure the battery just based on numbers?
Lower mah doesn't mean bad battery... I have read review of people saying with time, battery life became more stable and reliable !!
And headphones jack - every Phone company is removing them even in there smaller phones - blaming samsung for doing it is wrong....
It is part of evolution...
If you want a phone with headphones jack they are phone out there you can buy... "Android has a phone for everyone"
which phone do you like best? can you compare galaxy s22 to goole pixel 6? What is the best phonrewith sd card?
Need some advice, Not sure weather to wait for the S22 FE or wait for the A53s which may come out next year. The A53 is a let down and I would like to get a smartphone that is high end but dosent kill the budget (Samsung only). Any reccomendations?
A52s
@RUclips made by Google Yeh I personally want the latest one since its better

I think depending on what you want out of a phone Samsung do an M series on Amazon exclusively I believe big batteries and all the essentials
Samsung phones aren't worth it. Get something like the Poco F3 or the F4 and you'll be much happier with it
That cat has the best moustache ive ever seen.
That bad battery mainly have to do with the exynos. Samsung fabrication is pure cr@p compared to TSMC. No wonder SD 8 gen 1 plus is being fabricated at TSMC instead samsung.
Hey Uncle Spurt's out off the three Samsung phones which one would you use more the Samsung Galaxy S20 or the Samsung Galaxy S21 or the Samsung Galaxy S22?
Any hints that the S23 will also be small, but will have significantly better battery life?
I'm from the future. It's true. All of it
The vibration is really really weak but it gives a really satisfying haptic feedback now which is I love.but they should have made it a little bit stronger
It's a z axis vibration not x axis so it feels a little weak
@@anosvoldigoat3351 no, it's vice versa, bcz it has x axis motor, it is weak... Earlier it use to be z axis
@@richie1999 mkbhd told what ever I have stated
@@anosvoldigoat3351 i checked he said "they switched from z axis to x axis"
@@richie1999 did he my mind must have been fuzzy
That'an amazing device ❤️🔥
I wish they'd realise that as much as they want to get as much info in as quick as possible, half the time it's hard to understand what's being said,
No thanks battery is awful most say 3 or 4 hours of usage!!
Better off using it as a house decoration then using it, I’d need to charge that 2 or 3 times a day
Fuck that
got last years s21 5g myself for over a year nd count at 120 hertz all the time no problems
I was almost gonna get this until you mentioned the battery size.
One for the reviewer, as you've had hands on both, S22 or Honor 70? Cheers ✌️love the channel.
The whole S22 Series are poor value, specially the "low end" S22.
This phone has zero redeeming qualities while it costs much more than any competitor, the battery life is seriously a big joke.
i recently bought an s21 for about 35% less than s22. I think it was a good decision.
@@jumpoi same, bought s21+, and i like the camera bump design even tho i think camera bumps are stupid in general, but i seriously don't understand why they didn't make the phone that 1mm thicker to get rid of the bump and increase battery size
Actually, the lower end S22 is the best value......It is a great phone......see how easy that was for me to correct?
@@SilverSergeant The battery is one of the worst ever made, barely last a day.
The rest of the phone is fine, it's an OK value if you can get it heavily discounted.
Honestly, all high-end phones disappoint me this year, except the Vivo X80 Pro for now.
I should of read the reviews before I purchased the s22, battery life is terrible. I do use a fair bit and find it by far the worse phone I've had for battery. I just went and brought a honor 70 5g which I love and the battery is a beast
Was that hill a bit steep on your local park?😄 Great review as always.
3:02 omg that's fu**ing hilarious 🤣
How about Galaxy S22+ reviews?
I need a phone that lasts longer than 2 hours and I can work on all day into the night without crashing and dying and I will take anything that will do this at this point. There's my review - it sucks so bad.
I think they also have problems with the s21 batch as well. I'm seeing mixed review everywhere. My note 8 is great. Fingers crossed my s21 will be good, it's not arrived yet. I have 30 days to test it out. Is your one the exynos chip by the way?
Please make a review of Xiaomi civi 1s
This is just a perfect phone. More people should know about it.
New subscriber here and I need to know. Where do you get all of your wallpapers for your phones?
Can you use a battery bank to extend its life when out?
Storage if opting for the lowest size. Is there any type of portable USB storage device, battery operated that can be used to save one's data whilst out or on holiday?
I clicked for the cultured thumbnail and clever title
Thats why i changed my opinion to buy s21 fe to A73 .
How do you put a 3700 mAh battery in a flag ship phone? Samsung help me out here please, because some of your implications on these smartphones just don't make sense.
