Fr, side effects is such an underrated song. What gets me shocked every time is Felix's "meori apeuda" when it comes closer to the ending with his deep voice. Still gives me chills.
Honestly I was expecting NCT127’s “Chain” here, although I’m not fully sure what genre it fits into (maybe power electronics? Since that’s a noise music subgenre)
First kaduce for this pretty informative video I genuinely enjoyed it and the fact that you included certain characteristics that each sub genre had it really helped me since I'm in a self-study journey to learn about all genres as much as possible specifically within the K-pop realm But one of the things that really didn't sit with me right was spicy by aespa being included in the hybrid trap category Like can I ask how is it hybrid trap like I get it it's pretty aggressive and gritty in its baseline But what I hear is like early 2000 reminiscent and this track is heavily synth based and when I listen to this it I hear influences from punk in particular groups like blink-182 rancid offspring green Day early discography doesn't the baseline and the beats lean more on the experimental side?
I mean there are literally no guitars in the song and a hiphop/trap drum pattern plus distortet basses and they are thery dominant with synth chords in the refrain what sounds more like future bass but yea still hybrid trap I would say. But jeah many hybrid trap kpop songs are very soft for hybrid trap T . T
CAN I KNOW WHAT GENRE THESE TYPE OF CHORUS BELONG TOO, LIKE BATTER UP, BONA BONA, BUBBLE, ME AND YOU BY EXID, DRAMATIC BY BVNDIT AND ALL EYES O ME'S CHORUS⁉
Batter Up: Trap [Hip-Hop] Bona Bona: Trap [EDM] Bubble: Electro House x Electropop Me & You: Moombahton Dramatic: Moombahton with Tropical element All eyes on me: House genre, but not sure what kind of House
ateeeezzzzzzzzzzzz
