  • You may have heard of the Ford F150 Raptor, the king of OEM off-road 4x4 pickup trucks. For the 2023 model year, Ford decided to build a Raptor style van they call the Transit Trail.
This is an exciting event for ModVans! We already build on Transit cargo vans, so we can take immediate advantage of the capabilities and consumer interest in the Transit Trail!
We were among the first RV manufacturers in the country to receive production Transit Trails and we believe we are the first to deliver a Transit Trail based production RV model to a customer.
In the video walkthrough below, we show you some of new Transit Trail specific features. The vehicle is also an innovative, high tech ModVans model MH1/X and, after the Transit Trail specific features, we’ll show you a few MH1/X features and options. This vehicle features our new MH1 “garage pass thru” floorplan option

I have a Transit Trail. Ford put a speed limiter on them and didn't disclose it. The speedometer is off by 3 mph, so the top speed is 78 mph. I have 2 recalls with no fix available . Front tire rubbing and electric steering component is exposed to weather and may stop working . The rear camera stopped working. The steering wheel controls stopped working. She's been in the dealership repair shop numerous times. Nice build, though.

Had to stop watching after you said it's on a block lift. Really!?

  • @KenLeonard

Trying to buy a microwave/convection oven for our new van and I can’t figure out what brand that unit is. Does anyone recognize it?

  • @charlesscorpiniti5827

Na-Va-Duh is how us locals say it. Don't call it Na-Vah-Da in the state or you'll get bad service.

  • @deborah4579

Been waiting for builds on the Transit trail. Can you share what the remaining payload would be assuming full water and gas with the largest battery capacity? I don’t know the weight of your built out but I believe the Transit trail only allows for 3700 lb payload in total. Thanks!

  • @ZillaYT

Wow, that's different. I wish you showed tee under-carriage. The 360-degree camera is a $1000 option on the Trail.

  • @ModVans

See the description for links to specific features/chapters!

  • @JeffreyHallin

How do you secure bikes and other adventure toys in the garage? I do not see any L-Tracks or hooks to secure items.

  • @jh4yt1008

That garage is quite enticing. What is the height of the space under the bed? Is the bed height variable? You're getting awfully close to what I've been looking for and not able to find elsewhere on the market.

Wow this is exciting! This video started me going through all of your other videos and your website. So nice to finally see a relatively open and modular layout on the Ford Transit EXT. I was curious what differences this pop-top has from the lower roof models, and why the change to the clamshell style for the high roof?

  • @ResetYourJourney

Fantastic! Finally a van that checks ALL our boxes! Would be perfect for our family of 4!

  • @paulwilliams2024

Wow this is absolutely EPIC van build

  • @CraigParkerAdams

I'm sure they'll be happy with that. Fantastic!

  • @wardhuff5683

Modvans are some of the best vans out there. Someday I will own one.

  • @roughroadequipment

    Well done! Fantastic build.

  • @Espiritiv

I have the backwoods bumpers as well. Nice looking. Rear backwoods bumper with your tire carrier is good combo. Has rigid backup lights

  • @TraderChick

Love! Was that a microwave or oven below? Are the counter and tables always blue or or are there different colors? I like the saying “mammoth garage” haha. Thanks for the tour!

  • @strangerpalooza

Well done PJ, both the Van & the Video 😁👍🏾

How was it to build on the trail chassis was it easier to build on the skeleton then the standard transit or sprinter like did they make the chassis easier to build on like putting wire, walls and insulation?
