Around that time, Ajatashatru’s child Udaya was suffering from a boil on the tip of his finger. Therefore, Ajatashatru, while hugging his child to his bosom, sucked away the pus. Vaidehi, the king’s consort, who was sitting nearby, observed this and said, “King, when you were small, you suffered from an identical boil. Your father, the great king, just as you did, sucked away its pus.” When Ajatashatru heard this, his anger toward his father the king suddenly changed into thoughts of love. He said to his ministers, “If there is someone who will report that my father the king is alive, I shall grant him half of this country.” People rushed to where his father the king was being held. But the king, hearing the clamorous footsteps, became terrified and thought, “They are going to inflict severe punishments on me.” In a state of fear and agony, he collapsed onto the bed and breathed his last. As Bimbisara already attained the state of Sotapanna so it cannot be possible for him to drink poison and die that would be a case of suicide.
In the years of yore... People have pretty good knowledge of Ayurveda... The poison which Bhimbisara took may have been a Visa plant ☘️ (Aralivadai) he would have squeezed out the essence and had consumed it..

Bengal/Vanga and odisha/kalinga as well as Mithila region of Bihar were not captured yet by Magadh in this period (haryanka).
