  • Gimarie Irizarry Martinez, a graduate student in Dr. Michael Yassa‘s lab, received the 2024 Director’s Excellence Award. This video features a two-minute elevator pitch about her research, which she presented during the 2024 CNLM Award Ceremony on May 9, 2024 at the Irvine Improv.
    Martinez’s talk is titled, “Fostering the next generation of puertorriqueños in neuroscience.”
    The UC Irvine Center for the Neurobiology of Learning (CNLM) offers awards to exceptional postdoctoral researchers, graduate trainees, undergraduate students, and Faculty Fellows.
    CNLM awards are intended to recognize excellence not only in research but also in service and commitment to the CNLM mission and core values.
