Well, you can look forward to Conquest Lunatic. I like to compare that route to Rareware games, because I can generally name one thing about each map that sets it apart from the others. Does the game have a couple stinkers? Yes, chapter 19 and 20 are pretty well agreed on to be not good. Is the story good? Absolutely not. But damn, on the vast majority of the maps, Conquest Lunatic offers up some absolutely solid gameplay. Plus Inigo got one hell of a glowup so the game has that going for it.
Birthright Lunatic is so mind numbing, takes until the last few chapters of the game for enemies to actually have skills. I know its supposed to be the easy route but Jesus christ having to go 3/4ths of SKILL EMBLEM WITHOUT ANY SKILLS is ludicrous. The game feels like a huge waste of time and practically nothing redeeming comes from of other than a slightly better story than the other two routes
I have long held the that but birthright is worse than rev. I enjoyed birthright to an extent but the large amount of tedious (yet easy) rout maps is just.... Not fun
Birthright on Lunatic is indeed a boring experience. Did once and never want to play again. My problems are basically what you said. We want a good 1-2 range unit to deal with enemy quantity, but only Ryouma can do the job at base. It's fun building strong units to enemy phases, but having to plan a lot before playing isn't fun. Hard mode Birthright is way better. It's too easy, but at least the game isn't "have a couple of units who can enemy phase, if not, solo with ryouma"
Lost in thoughts all alone is really grating, I hate it too. I agree with all these complaints. Conquest is much, much better. Edit: Hinoka cutie though
I haven't played yet Birthright, but on my first playthrough of Conquest is giving me a hard time with the difficulty, the story is so shit, it's so fucking boring but I least I can play with Elise and Niles

No FE game has a *bad* soundtrack, but Birthright's is not near the top of the list.
