This was the first drum set I ever bought with my own money in 1968, but without the bongo toms & I had the chrome snare. I was 13. My Grand Father floated the loan & I worked it off doing chores. I practiced at least 3 hours a day on them & later became a profession touring musician. Traded them in during the early 70's. Wish I still had them.
Thanks for sharing. I was also 13 when I started with a gifted set, we owe our families a debt of gratitude for those circles. Mine are gone now too and I wish the same, but I suppose the real gift was making me a drummer. Cheers Hippy
It would be awesome to get a brief lesson from Noah on how he selects his phrases & compositions. Is it simply 4 bar phrases & let ideas just flow? NICE WORK! TY
Honestly I don’t think of it too much, I think you nailed it with 4 bar phrases and just letting ideas flow. It’s actually one of my favorite things about doing the demos beyond playing all the different gear, I get to freestyle a bit and each set/cymbal etc. brings something to the table that might affect what I play on it. Very fun, thank you!
Thanks! Blue Agate/Onyx is my favorite. My first vintage set had it, never should have sold it. I haven’t seen a lot of TDR’s, but I definitely haven’t seen two of this one. Great drum.
@@noahice cool, you're welcome! I had a Rogers citadel in blue onyx. I kept the 64 powertone and new dyna-sonic in blue onyx. Love that color. I have a 5x14 TDR in red sparkle. Killer snare! That 6.5x14 sounded amazing.

Fascinating hearing those Noah. High tuning sounds perfect. Very unique drums for sure. Good job.
Thanks Steve! I’ve never seen bongos this deep before, unique indeed.
Wow! Those drums sound fantastic (and Noah, you’re playing does as well)
This set is calling your name, Noah 🥳

@@noahice Thanks for the time & thought with your answer Noah! I do appreciate it! Keep up the amazing work!
That's such a beautiful finish and they sound great. Excellent playing as always! That 6.5x14 TDR has to be fairly rare!

Wow, that blue, very thick, like a good Stache
What kind of head do you use on
the kick side of the bass drum?
Slingerland had fantastic tone.
Great drumming !
I can get these this kit just all toms and kick for $400. Do you think I should? Not the bongos tho
Great sound.
Your snares always sound crisper than Steve’s..
Well that listing ended fast.
