I remember watching your oil and filter change video at the beginning of the year and being inspired to start DIYing on my van. Now I've built up the confidence (and tools) to do a clutch kit change which I've just about finished. I thought I might have a crack at the gear shifter while I'm at it. Thanks for another great video mate!
@@aussiewantok No Worries! Also a quick follow up on the gear selector at 1:37. I can't quite make out which piece is actually being replaced to stop the gear stick wobbling. Is it the entire piece that is in your hand at 1:22?
Gday mate is the hose that comes out of the kia pregios valve cover just a breather or a pcv valve. I want to replace my pcv valve but cannot find the valve. The reason i want to change it is because my plastic valve cover cracked where it sits on the gasket on the intake side and a chunk of plastic is starting to make its way out and leak oil. I want to replace the valve in case it was the reason the plastic cracked outwards. Sorry for asking but any advice on where the valve is or what could be the cause of the cracked cover would be much appreciated. 👍
Awsome video thankyou i just bought a kia preggio like the one you have. I have never owned a diesel before and are not used to hearing the diesel engine rev around 2800rpm at 100kmph closer to 3000rpm for 110. Compared to a petrol engine which i am used to it sound as though the diesel engine is working harder on the highway . This might be a silly question but is it ok for these 5 speed diesel preggios to sit on 110kmph can the engine handle sitting at those sort of revs for hours on end if the engine is well serviced?
Hi, Yes definitely. I had mine up to 130km/h for extended periods of time (outback australia) no probs at all One thing with these vehicles, they are slow to accelerate, but that is just the way they are Enjoy

Mate, I replaced the mechanism but, all you need to do is put in some plastic washers to fill in the gaps... www.veniba.com/images/20211004_135515.jpg

@@aussiewantok thanks mate i appreciate you taking the time to try to answer my question. 👍
I didn't see you put new bushes in? Was that the issue or something else?
I just swapped the whole selector from another vehicle, including the bushes
Hey mate, can you do a video on how to fix heating?
Sorry mate, I don't have that car anymore...
