Aliens & Espionage: Crop Circles and the CIA Coverup
In 1974 a group of scientists beamed a message into space. The message, meant to be received by an intelligent alien species, described life on Earth.
Written in simple binary code, and using the most powerful radio telescope on the planet, the message was broadcast to a dense cluster of stars in the constellation of Hercules.
This exercise was just ceremonial; a way to demonstrate new technology in radio astronomy. Nobody was really expected to receive it. And even if they did, it wouldn't be any time soon. The nearest star in the direction of the broadcast is 25,000 light-years away.
So, the telescope was tuned to 2380 Megherz, aimed at Hercules, and fired up. The scientists congratulated each other, shook hands, and went on with their lives.
But 27 years later, something very unexpected happened with that message beamed into deep space.
We got a reply.

I've tried most of the flavors from Huel's Hot and Savory line of products. Pasta Bolognese + Mac n Cheez together remind me of lasagna. I've even put some shredded cheese on top while it was sitting for the 5 mins and ohhh yum. Mushroom Pasta is good too, but I added a pinch of garlic salt to get it there. :) Those are my favorites. You can't beat it for the nutrition and calorie count.

I was so surprised my 16 yr old granddaughter had never even heard of crop circles. I replayed this episode. I grew up in 60s, assumed everyone knew. She was astounded!! I wait for Thursdays every week for your show!! You never disappoint!

This new generation of young adults (Zoomers) haven’t looked into a lot of stuff that all the rest of us have.
Millennials are the last generation of people to remember the world before the internet or how life was in analog before we went totally digital. We also remember life during the Cold War and how we used to get information from traditional sources like film, TV, radio, and newspaper.
If it’s not online, Zoomers don’t care about it. That’s why this channel is so important.

No way!! This made me remember there was a crop circle where I grew up in Trottiscliffe UK in 1999. I actually just googled it and found a photo on Pinterest.
What blew my mind is that it was right next to a chalk pit AND a 10 minute walk away from Coldrum Longburrow which is like a mini Stone Henge. Ties in perfectly with some of the info in this video!

Basically if you combine this episode (which is excellent) with the information from Bob Lazar it's easy to imagine that the military has had some basic level of success in either reverse engineering or utilizing recovered alien craft. Meanwhile there could be a higher intelligence that is giving clues on how we can achieve space travel and the US is obscuring the subject as much as possible because they don't believe the public should be informed about it BUT more importantly they don't want Russia or China getting the upper hand in the secret tech race.

The CIA asset stuff is real as it gets. I was a journalist for almost a decade and started breaking stories and turning public opinion away from a certain group of scandals. Me and others who were breaking this were attacked by mysterious accounts that began digging up very odd, hard to find things about all of us and discredited us. The people in question got away with what they did and only within the past couple of years has the truth come out, exonerating us and validating our research. It's too late for our writing careers, but it shows how pervasive this is and how much power they have. If they want the truth discredited, they can very easily do so.

Thanks for reopening my eyes to crop circles. I'm from the UK and can remember watching that BBC program as a kid where it was 'discovered' to all be a hoax, and to be honest it made me believed it was too. Until today.
Before watching this, if you had asked me if crop circles were real, I would have said no. Just because the UK media had done such a good job in the 80s and 90s telling everyone exactly that, that I had never even given it a second thought.

I agree. Though, could be that some hoaxers are better and far more educated than others. Most of our understanding of the sciences and how they evolved is remedial, which is why we tend to believe in aliens and things. We don't really understand how objects we interact with on a daily basis even work.

I was afraid this was going to be another episode that just ends up being completely debunked at the end, I thought I knew "the story". I'm so glad I was wrong and it took a completely unexpected turn. A lot of information to process, a lot of interesting theories.

Just about anything can be true, I love this channel. I love this channel because it covers what could be possible, followed by reasoning for why it might not be. Who knows what’s true and what’s not.

That "coconut curry" he was holding up looked like that slop the characters of Lexx ate aboard ship and I'd never buy it.
BUT, I did watch the whole ad and didn't even mind.
For the last two episodes where they've done sponsor ads like that, I've also sat there and watched them, even though I could have fast forwarded them because I end up watching new episodes on Friday morning(you can't fast forward if you watch it live on premier night, Thursday). I don't watch them to learn about whatever product is sponsoring him, I watch because of the hard work he and they put into them. The only 2 sponsor ads that ive ever seen them do(last week and this episode)are 10x better than other channels who just read the info like a Droid

A F5 tornado was making a beeline towards our home. I quickly started playing Why Files on my cell phone. Our home took a direct hit by that F5 tornado. Everything around us was totally wiped out. No homes was left, only the foundations remained. Our home received absolutely no damage. This was because of Why Files, the greatest channel in the history of the world.

Ever since I saw the "The World Ended In 2012" multiple time-line episode I realize that The Why Files is no joke. This is well researched and written stuff.
This was a awesome episode. I wish you go deeper in the Arecibo Response.
In 2000 i found about 50 small crop circles that were in wheat fields that ran along a river. What i later noticed was that all the circles were connected by spirals . Inside the circles were filled with static electricity and the wheat was as you said gently laid down but not harmed. Within 3 days they were gone like they never existed. I always wondered why and your the first person ive heard say that they disappeared on they own

AJ has given so many plausible explanations. Here is an angle that i know as a Hindu. The rangoli patterns as ancient as vedic india are really complex machines. But not for any material operation. These are consciousness machines. The sanskrit word is Yendhiram. They connect human consciousness with that of demigods (higher beings). Just adding my random thought to the collective. Yer good story teller but there are still gaps, he seems to awaken many topics to many. Surprises me watching this how unaware many people actually are. Yet here I live with stuff all to my name.
