Here's my pitch for a Scooby-Doo episode. ( what's new Scooby-Doo theme plays). ( cut to malt shop). Fred: " hey gang, listen to this, ghost of long lost fisherman haunts harbour". Velma: " I've heard of him, I think his name was salty Dave, he was very famous for selling sardines and he also"..... Shaggy: speaking of sardines, where's my sandwich". Daphne: I think you have to ask Scooby if HE'S seen it." Fred: Come on gang, let's go and investigate, maybe we'll get to the bottom of this mystery". Velma: Here we are, the harbour ". Scooby: Ruh Oh, rooky rarbour , raaaad rews". Sailor Sam: " I suggest you kids leave now if you know what's good for you, salty Dave always comes when the lighthouse light glows twice". Fred: no way, we're not going, right gang". Shaggy: leaving, I'm already gone".( Velma grabs Shaggy by the back,and pulls him back). " Like I'm regretting joining them". Cut to lighthouse, Fred has already sent the gang to look for clues. Cut to Shaggy and Scooby being chased by the ghost, music of America plays in background. Now we cut to Fred making a trap. Fred: okay, rope goes here ,hooked onto cage , oil goes here (chef's kiss) perfect, okay,gang lure him in , oh and watch for the oil". Daphne: what did he say." Velma: I think he said something about being boiled." Shaggy: " no watch out for the oil!!!!" (All screaming). Ghost almost getting away. Ghost of salty Dave" Ha, Ha, Ha, you'll never catch me, mystery Inc!!" Daphne: quick, he's getting away"!!!! Fred: Oh no you don't, yes, got him". Velma: " now let's see who the ghost of salty Dave really is". All: sailor Sam"!!!!! Daphne: " but why"?? Sailor Sam: Because , there is a long lost treasure chest filled with gems galore, so I knew I had to get my hands on it, so I used the legend of salty Dave to scare people away so I could find it first, and it could of worked to , if it weren't for you meddling kids" . Fred: I wonder where that treasure is hidden"?? Velma: I guess we'll never know". Shaggy: I thought there was something FISHY going on here, Ha". Scooby: Scooby, Dooby, Doooooooo"!!!!
