I live in the mountains of Western North Carolina, morning rides to work can sometimes be below freezing, and afternoon temps will be 30 degrees higher. I had a horrible time with fogging. I'd crack the shield, and my face would be freezing! I finally bought a helmet with a Pinlock system. GAME CHANGER!!!! I never fog up any more. I will have to check out the vision thing you mentioned, I have not noticed any lack of peripheral vision. I'll get back to you on that, when I remember to check it out 🤣. Excellent video! You know where I stand on the @ScorpionExo R1-Air1 I love that helmet and all that comes with it. In my opinion the fact that it comes with 2 visors and pinlock shield all for one price is a great value.
I love my Pinlock shield. My current HJC is the first helmet I have that came with Pinlock capable visors and came with a Pinlock included in helmet purchase price. Loved that! Its great for the hot, humid conditions here in Far North Queensland.
My old helmet is actually Pinlock ready. So now I know what those pins are for. 😁 Of course I need a new lid so Pinlock won’t be going in this one. Thanks for the education.👍
absolutely LOVE pinlock, I actually won't buy a helmet if they dont offer a pinlock compatible visor. We have to much mid range temps things fog up quickly. Well done man!
I think pinlock is one of the best inventions for motorcyclists in recent history! I commute on my bike all the way down to 40 degrees F. So keeping my visor closed and still being able to see is very important!! Great video Eric!!
I didn't realize the pinlock shields come in different colors. I just spent $69 for a new pinlock ready shield at the Iron Pony. Very informative! And yay to Adventure Tomek! Have a blessed day and a fun week!

My neighvor used to go to Canada to buy something like this for his pickups and farm trucks in the late 60s, early 70s. We were in ND Minnesota border. He loved them for winter especially

My helmet came with one, but it's hardly noticeable. I need to get one of those anti fog inserts cause if I don't have it cracked at a stop light my visor fogs up like crazy

I have used yellow/orange sunglasses a bit in my time. i have an orange/brown at the moment for ride home when its sunny then gets dark
I tried them once on helmets and it wasn't that a big a deal to me.
