Hey thanks for watching. Hoping u are enjoying and will stay subscribed we are trying to get to 1k subs and stay above it! We only stay in inside staterooms - they are the most cost effective and we don’t spend much time hanging out in our room (sleep and change). Especially on Alaskan cruise we are always out off ship doing excursions or eating or kids in kids clubs with us in bars or casino. Yes it’s small - NCL is even smaller than Royal. But we managed and it took some patience but fun was had by all with the proper perspective. Thanks again we really appreciate the support 😀
Looking forward to this series! We recently went on our first Alaskan cruise out of Vancouver, on the Disney Wonder. It was amazing. Have not tried Norwegian yet, the Bliss looks like a nice ship! Did your itinerary go to the Glacier as well? Our fav Alaskan stop was Skagway and also Dawes Glacier, which technically is not a stop I guess. The ship just sailed all day in a fjord (Tracy Arm) and then arrived at the glacier. Our cruise did not go to Sitka or Icy Straight Point, can’t wait to see what those ports are like!
Ours sailed to Dawes Glacier but when we got to the entryway to Dawes we couldn’t proceed due to ice in water. Honestly it didn’t ruin our day at all - very minor obstacle to overcome. The Sitka hike you should go on - maybe my fave day???? Still contemplating that lol…. Icy Strait Point - no excursion planned that day and going into it I had worries about that …..but wow it was very doable without excursions! Some say touristy? Maybe my family like “touristy” lol. Thanks for your videos! We are going on this cruise shortly and your videos are so helpful. I have some questions. 1. How does the Splash Kids Club work? What are the hours of operation? My husband and I are trying to figure out if we can plan to go to the night shows and have our kids stay at the Splash kids' club? 2. Were you able to book and make reservations at the Savor and Manhattan Dining Rooms before you boarded the Ship? If so, can you make reservation for both lunch and dinner? Do they accept walk-ins without reservations? Thanks so much.
Kids clubs hours I did cover in one of the vlogs I will try and find them for you and post here 🤞🏻. Should be fairly easy if your kids are in the same club - complications arise if one kid is in little kids club and one is in teen club. That’s what happened to us - those hours don’t match. Savor and Taste and Manhattan are all walk ups ! We never waited long at all ! 😃 As u will see from my vlogs the worst part of dining is the buffet is ALWAYS jam packed. Hey! They have an escape hatch mid slide that they open for the people that get stuck and fall back down the way they came. What kind of room did you have with 4 people. Considering a balcony room with 4. We will have a toddler and a 1 year old. The room looks too small for all of us though. Are the rooms a tight fit. ?
Yea cruise rooms are very small. We had an interior cabin for 4 of us and some would think we are crazy. It can be patience testing at times when everyone is getting ready. 2 Drop down bunk beds from ceiling. That being said we don’t spend much time at all in our rooms so it’s not a make or break item - especially on an Alaskan cruise when there are mostly port days and we are off the ship. The Bliss had even smaller rooms than Royal we’ve been in (primary difference is no sofa on Bliss rooms inside cabins). All rooms will be small when compared to a standard sized hotel room when compared directly. Be ready for small. My wife and I have booked another inside cabin on MSC for next June and are discussing whether we want to do adjoining rooms with kids getting older and taking up more space with their size and clothes.
