I remember that episode. I was absolutely blown away by the before-after difference! Also its nice to see that there is no peeling 3 years later! Pretty sure you would not see any water stains with most other colors or a more shiny one (in my first student kitchen I used old painted wallpaper, double sided sticky tape and red laquer for the wood veneer kitchen. It definetly looked less professional, but It was also unbeatably cheap and it was cleanable. I mean, looking back..the wallpaper even had some relief-structure imprinted 🤣. But I did not want to buy any. So I did the whole kitchen for the price of a can of laquer, it was fast and easy and at leat it looked better than before. Still cringing a little, though, looking back. 🙂
Wow! I do recall this episode. The before and after, it's like night and day. 😮💯👏🏾 I live for the dance kicks and the space buns. So cute! 😍🥰🤗 Happy Holidays to you, Katy, Baguette, and Chris! 🎄❄️☃️
I have to say, I wrapped a desk with round edges (bought it second hand and did not see the top was a kind of plastic, so unpaintable) once and even though I took the "good" brand (d-c-fix) I decided to never do it again. Was harder than expected to make it look good. Im so impressed - not only doing the kitchen perfectly once, but twice😀
Girl, WOW! The cupboards look fantastic - you really are a diy genius. Love the colour, too! The uppers still looks amazing, 3 years later (wait, it’s been three years? Surely not…) Looking forward to the rest of the makeover - it will be great to see Rachel again! (Unless you’re booting her out until the big reveal - “Hey, open this door! It’s my apartment! I have a right to see what you’re doing!” “Ignore her. Now, this may seem like a crazy colour combination, but hear me out…”)
They look good, I've seen other channels use contact paper for counter tops, in kitchens and bathrooms. I'm really surprised it came off as easily as it did. Nicely done!
Has it really been 3 years!!? I remember saying something like "thats the best damn contact papering I've seen in my life!". I mean, that 💩 was smoooooth! Love that color choice, cant wait to see the rest. Thanks for 3+ amazeballs years of fun diys, genius creativity & moments of hell.
Thanks for showing the removal process and then the application too. Love the new colour- did you apint the surrounds on the cabinet or is it also adhesive?
All hail the actual Queen of contact paper🤴🏼 🎉 brilliant! Btw, I am totally unprepared for Christmas and supposed to be up and at it early but instead I 😊took a swig of hard liquor everytime you said 'contact paper'. So now I'm drunk. Hoorah! MERRY CHRISTMAS ! 🎄🤴🏼🎄🐈🎄🍾😊
I have questions, did Rachel pay you, were you held hostage and forced to do all thag work( blink twice for yes,) or are you just an amazing friend. Happy Christmas
Oh hey…it’s like we are going back in time🎉 I remember Rachel’s makeover like it was yesterday🤔Merry Laugh Cry DIY 🍾
Us too! We can’t believe it’s been YEARS. We were also reminiscing about its true before state. What a memory. Haha.
Samesies!
That was 3 years ago? Damn, I'm getting old. Time flies.
Absolutely love the color, can't wait to see the co-ordinating room!
It’s crazy how time flies. But contact paper endures! Haha.
Great tutorial and great new color! Always love the high kickin’ Katy 💃🏼😂😢🛠️

Hey, we do what we have to SURVIVE. There are many previous apartment choices I made that are so cringy, but I love seeing old pics to remember them.

Ooopfh. Those round edges will try to kill you if they can. But congrats to tackling it then (and never again). Haha.

Haha. Fortunately, she has been leading the color charge. Still gotta source a few things, but the makeover is a VIBE.
Holyyyyy... What a huge difference and what a color... One of my favs 🩵 Can't wait for the upcoming makeover 🫠🤓
It is suuuuuch a fun color. Totally changes the vibe.
I didn't realize it had been three years, I watched that video! Looks great!
Right?! Time flies.

Yep. It’s not as scary as people think it is. Haha.
How was that 3 years ago?!?

Yay Rachel's kitchen!!!! Katie you are such a great instructor! Such patience! Beautiful results! ❤️🏡
You know I am purely driven by the joy of a good before and after. ❤️
Georgeous! You are incredible. Thank you for the tips ❤️.
Happy to share!!!

Anything that’s colored is contact paper-no paint.
thanks Katy, turned out beautiful, Congrats Rachel xo
Happy holidays from Katy to Katie!
Cool.
Love the color❤
It’s sooo fun.
Merry Christmas!!
You too! Hope it’s a good one.
I remember this kitchen! How has it been 3 years. 😩
Right?!

MERRY CHRISTMAS ! 🎄🤴🏼🎄🐈🎄🍾😊
Merry contact paper!!!! May your corners be smooth and your adhesive be sticky this season.
Merry Christmas Katy
You too! Hope it’s a good one.
Beautiful ❤
❤️❤️❤️
I've seen people car wrapping cabinets and appliances. Is this more durable? Does it remove just as easily?
From my understanding, it’s a more durable solution. Vinyl-wrapped cabinets are meant to last 10 years or so. I have not used it for that reason.
😻
🤗
I have questions, did Rachel pay you, were you held hostage and forced to do all thag work( blink twice for yes,) or are you just an amazing friend.
Happy Christmas
It’s the best friend tax. Free contact papering services once every three years. Hahah.
❤❤❤👍
❤️❤️❤️
Three years ago?! THREE years ago? T H R E E years ago? What is happening?
I KNOW 😂 It’s absolutely shocking.
Also, these videos are such GEMS. 🤌. I’ll be moving in April to a new apartment and I’m already anticipating doing some diy!
Oooh yay! I hope it’s an easy move.
