Ahh The Raspberries were AWESOME DELUXE n I grew up in the 1960's n 1970:s n it was n amazing time with unfathomably different, poignant n legendary music 🎶 n 🎵 musicians likethe entire band. RIP Eric. You were a rock Star ✨⭐ for Sure,!! Listening to these songs takes me back to the best days of life NEVER to be repeated AGAIN unfortunately, except maybe by the Rock stars Supreme of Today The Hollywood Vampires!!! GREAT Easter Sunday walk down memory lane, makes me feel young AGAIN, though I am ancient at 66. Attaboys, Raspberries,,!!! You will NEVER be forgotten n ALWAYS revered for your enigmatic contributions to Rick n Roll music!!
I was just going to say the same thing about his voice and he could really move! Too bad they didn't do more Pop Rock songs. This is my favorite song of my youth. I was 13 when this song came out and I had no idea what it was about. I just liked the song. :)
I’m so sad to hear of Eric Carmen’s passing, very unique sounding voice and great songwriter not to mention drop dead gorgeous ❤. Love you and miss you, you were part of my youth.
It's 10.30pm Tuesday night 12/03/2024 and I've just flicked the T.V. over to Ch 9 in Sydney. They were showing The Raspberries "Go all the Way" I thought "Why are they playing that?" "Is Eric touring soon?" Then I thought "Oh no he hasn't died" "Has he?" My fears were confirmed by the news voice over person. "Eric Carmen was 74" Now I can't stop crying. Not only did Eric help create one of the greatest, mind blowing Guitar riffs in Rock history, he then composed some of the most tasteful Ballads of all time. Good quality Ballads are extremely hard to write. Thanks for the great music and the brilliant singing voice Eric. Eric lived a successful existence and died peacefully in his sleep. "Come on Baby!!!" RIP - Eric Carmen
I believe that he was unsure of his voice in his earliest recordings, when his voice had not matured yet. It is likely that he was more comfortable later on. I love the sound of his unique voice at any stage. Miss you Eric.❤
He was the youngest person ever admitted to the Cleveland Institute of Music at 3….. his parents said he was singing before he ever spoke….by 11 he was playing Violin…his talent was immense…and he knew it and showed it…how many kinds of a idiot are you.
I heard the same thing...he couldn't stand his voice.... his voice was beautiful...such talent.. breaks my heart he's gone. He wrote such wonderful songs, too....and very humble... I loved listening to him play the piano...❤ I hope he's in a peaceful place where he can see the impact he made on the world... and how much he was loved. I hope the critics in his mind are quiet now... and he can hear how good he really was....
@PhillipWhelan Thanks so much for putting this up,! Eric, Wally Dave & Jim , The Raspberries, really kicked ass! SO UNDER RATED These guys were up there with the rest of the top groups but they never got the real recognition they deserved ...
Darn! I still am grieving Eric, who was born about 2.5 months after me in the same year. I never got to see him live but did catch a glimpse of him with wife in 2017. They were in the audience at the Brian Wilson concert at Hard Rocksino in Northfield, OH. He did not get enough credit when alive.
Kind of poignantly wistful hearing the Star Spangled Banner Intro just daze after the Baltimore incident , and even more so listening to Eric just after we’ve lost him. Go All The Way was a wicked-good guilty pleasure Favorite for a precocious young teenaged girl in 1972. Such a strange life it’s turned out to be. RIP Eric.
Oh my Wow! This was excellent! So great to see Don Kirschner Rock Concert! Bringing back memories of a time. Loved the Raspberries and Eric Carmen. RIP Eric. Thank you for posting this!
Thank you, Great live show! Wally Bryson was a great lead guitarist. Fun seeing him "chomping" away on his gum while he's playing! I'd be up on a Saturday night and catch Rock Concert and Midnight Special. American Bandstand, Rock Concert, Midnight Special, and Soul Train, Great Music TV Shows in the 70's. I was at Charlotte High School in Rochester, NY in the 1970's when the Raspberries came out. I still remember buying their first self-titled "Vinyl" album with the "Scratch and Sniff" sticker on the front. Yes, if you scratched it, it smelled like Raspberries! They had a lot of great songs but my two favorites were, "I Can Remember," and "If You Change Your Mind." I had lost a high school sweet heart back then, and it seemed every one of Eric's words resonated with the feelings I was going through. After Eric left the band for his solo career in the late 1970's, I believe it was the Summer of 1975, I saw the remaining band with Wally Bryson on lead guitar, doing a show at the Hilton High School gymnasium in Hilton, NY. From what I remember, the school won a contest to host them for a concert. The Raspberries were Great with Eric and Eric had many hits alone and it was great they re-united in the later years to do great shows together again. Thanks for a Great song, Thanks Eric, Thanks Raspberries for Great memories... ♥✝🙏
I remember reading somewhere that Eric wasn’t the one with stage presence, it was Wally Bryson that stole the show…but I disagree with that. Eric was definitely the one to watch. Such a shame the Raspberries broke up. They were amazing. …but then we wouldn’t have Eric’s solo music, which is also amazing. So beautiful the way he played that piano. ❤️
I love having this, although the director or technical director should never have been allowed to muddy this great performance of one of the best rock songs ever with constant half-dissolves. Can't see a damn thing. At least give us a clean view of your 2 main camera angles! 🙄
Eric was one the most brilliant musicians to grace the planet. RIP
RIP, So handsome and talented Eric. You'll be so very missed ❤.

Absolutely brilliant Raspberries were the best ❤ Miss you already Eric 😮😢
They really should have been one of the biggest bands in the world…Eric and the rest of the band were phenomenally talented.
Eric Carmen's lyrics are pure poetry. Watching him play the piano is mesmerizing.

Rip Eric you are mssed❤🎉.
We were blessed to have grown up with this. Thank you❤
Eric's voice is the most beautiful instrument in the band...❤
That's how we felt in the 70's❤❤
I can't believe this man couldn't stand the sound of his own voice. I'm hoping he's looking in on this now, realizing what a creative dynamo he was.
Wow, I never heard that about Eric. His voice was magnificent.
@@LousFoolSame here. It's been coming out in articles since his passing. I don't ever recall hearing about it before that.

And at 8 minutes is where the real talent and magic starts. Eric in that white outfit is just stunning. So gorgeous. I love watching him.
