    As much as I do enjoy watching your WH 3 videos, there's nothing quite like a good old adventure in Rome II :)

    When your merc cav got charged by the spearmen, it made me smile. I forget about them too 😂 but they dont get paid to run away! Lol

    Bye bye Macedon xD
    If you go for Athens, you could go for Knossos afterwards so you can complete the province and from there expand to the east. But you can go north as well.

      You can usually get Knossos as a Military Ally and defensive Ally after a few turns. I agree with the comments to get a champion. Your video is great keep it up!

    Been waiting for this! Also, getting a champion is key early game. Make sure to recruit one that gives a bonus to troop training. Then attach him to your army. That will make your Spartans even more tough when they've got silver or even gold chevrons in experience!

    By the way please I have seen a lot of Total War kind of series that simply you know when the time comes they just don't fight that's bad okay it will be very cool to see you fight you know even if you could lose units but that makes the whole series much much better and a good way thanks for choosing Sparta.
    this is Sparta

    Great defense, Battle of Larissa against Macedonia. Spartan army 1,382 men - loses 375 men. Keep up the GOOD work, my friend!! 😄👏

    For all its faults at release i think rome 2 is a pretty damn good game now with all the updates they made, and its good to see it being played as opposed to warhammer

    Maybe worth making Athens your ally. They'll already really like you cause they're a Greek state and you had war with Epirus and Macedon. In one of my Spartan campaigns I did this and they were really helpful and we kinda ruled side by side. But would be especially helpful for you now that it looks like you could be at war with three barbarian factions. And who knows eventually if you're powerful enough you could make them your client state, same with Knossos.

      what about the trade openings?

    • @smokinfree5555
      @smokinfree5555 2 года назад

      @@Warrior_of_Sparta Yea I don't get that as when I have played Sparta in the past I still was unable to trade no matter which port(s) I held. Hopefully they have corrected that by now.

      @@Warrior_of_Sparta I think as long as you have a port it doesn't matter. As say the trade can come through either Apollonia or Pella's ports, through Larissa and down to Sparta. But if you own any settlement with a port surely you'll just get the trade anyway as it's your settlement. But up to you Warrior would be cool seeing a big siege of Athens, but would also be cool seeing you fight beside them on the battlefield.

      I'm 99.9% sure if you just have a trading port built you can then trade. The more trading ports you have then the more income you'll generate

    wow you really played the first battle poorly with your cavalry lol
    cavalry should never be under missile fire because they are such large targets, also you withdrew the cavalry when they were attacking slingers while your cav is the PERFECT counter and could have stopped or even outright kill the 3 missile units by itself, instead you tried to "cycle charge" pulled your cav away and they got rekt by the fire from behind and lost more than half their numbers (mostly because of the ennemy javelins i think) and finally thankfully the AI charged their cav into your spears because the main target when cav numbers are this similar is the enemy cav, if you eliminate it you have insane mobility compared to your opponents who can't counter rear charges without withholding lots of troops from the actual fight its a win win situation either way when you have even one single cav unit and your opponent doesn't
    cool video tho you're just not a big brain strategist and like to rent about years old videos hopefully you learned something :)
