I am of a similar height and frame as you, Helen, and it's interesting that you've also opted out (so far) of the tall boots trend. I think they look really cool on taller folks but have never liked them for myself especially since I can't wear heels higher than about two centimeters (back problems). I guess I feel stumpy in them. Interested to see if you ever try this look!
I absolutely adore heels and since I'm 150cm they are my best friends in that aspect. There was even a time when I only wore heels no matter the weather or occation 🙈 However, now I rarely wear them and instead mostly gravitate towards sneakers and other flat shoes that I can walk all day in, even if it's not always very stylish and "ruins" the outfit.. 😅 but having a nice balance is good! And I'll try to improve more so thank you for the tips! 😊
I pretty much always understood that certain cuts of clothings will look better on certain body shapes but never realized that was also true for shoes. After failing to find a good pair of ankle boots this Winter too I think I can finally accept the fact that I just don't like how they look on my body shape...
Great content as always. I have far too many pairs of shoes, sandals and boots but love and wear them all😊. DF footwear is generally wonderful but have become more and more expensive, so I take advantage of sale days. Hope you are having a fabulous holiday. 👍🏾😀Deb
Hey! Lumiere what a beautiful shoes and I really love all the shoes so so so much you inspired me so so so much and I wish you reach 70K Subscribers very very soon!💞☺️✨
im like you, helen, with needing a wider fit, especially a wider toe box! rewatching this video as i am struggling to find shoes that dont hurt my feet! i have a bunionette on both my pinky toes. do you think these boots and the new balance 574s would be ok?
Same here. I live in a Nordic country and I think I own 20 pairs of shoes. It's a lot but you do need a lot when the temperature can be -30 C in winter and +30 C in summer. 😅
@@chic_bassanus sounds like we have the same weather. Last few years we have been getting highs of +40•c and -40•c so cool how one place can fluctuate like that. Over night lows of -2 and daily highs of +22 🤔 lol
The color of those New Balance is so vibrant and fun. And surprisingly matches with so many other colors. Absolutely love it!
Loved how you gave pros and cons especially how it works with outfits and proportions.

Helen! I love that lip color you wore in the intro! It’s so lovely and autumnal with your skin tone and hair color!
Your tips about getting shoes based on your outfit is soooo smart and helpful!!

Such a helpful video, thank you!
Concerning your wish for less chunky loafers maybe take a look at Sezane. They have some nice ones, I think 😉
I LOVE your videos ❤
Was hoping to see those Tibi loafers make an appearance :( hope you can get the bolt fixed because those shoes are so beautiful ❤️
Yes I just realized how much shoes make a difference in outfits!

What are the tan pants you're wearing?
Lumiere d'Helen, your calves are fine! Everything works on you 😀
I live in northern Canada, we have 4
solid seasons and naturally that comes with lots of foot wear to be dressed appropriately.

Your clothes makes me afraid. Because there is no punchy color.
Hi love, where did you get that rib knit midi skirt (the longer one) you wore with your spirit boot? Thank you for a great video again!
Love Laura xx
