Played LS for 70 hours so far, 60 was going in blind, first MH game, without ever looking at combos/the tutorial. Got reeeally used to rolling for everything. I've much to learn.

It's really dependent on your playstyle/situation on what you're gonna hunt. Imo elemental mixed sets are not necessarily utilitarian because there will always be that one meta set that you can use with practically with anything
I just finished the base story of iceborn yesterday and i tried to do him solo.. i never fainted 3 times in a row that quick.. the damage output is not fun..
So is Kjarr Elemental LS better than using Lightbreak or Shatterblade? All I ever hear about Elemental LS is that it's garbage and should never be used. Even in your build all your armor skills are focused on stacking as much Raw damage as possible, so why not use Lightbreak/Shatterblade for more Raw + Blast?

Just wanted to know how you feel about this Frostfang Barioth set only needing 1 for Punishing Draw. Is it worth the investment? Thanks in advance!
I wish I had half your skill man. I've been playing longsword a lot lately and I'm okay but not great. Fought normal barioth for the first time and I was absolute garbage. He curb stomped me the first two times I fought him. I had to get my duo in for the third try. My pride took a ding but I killed barioth, ironically I also started getting the timing down way better on my counters the third try but man I'm just awful with ls counters rn. I'm a big noob tho, started in Rise, i played like part of the base game of this years ago but I never had it on pc until now
I don't know if you'll read this, Peppo, but I've been going through some of your speedruns and a question popped up. How fast could all this be done with the clutch claw boost skill?

R2 + O (foresight slash) -> R2 (roundslash)
You can only continue with roundslash after foresight slash if you counter something succesfully.

Why do you go on top of the monsters head instead of just hitting it when it is tired. It seems like hitting it has bigger damage.

Neither of them. I play fire LS because in order to get openings, I need to break his legs. If I use blast, I won't be able to break his legs in time.

depends? you'll have to do more iai slash and sacrifice some affinity, some people even put quick sheath on,
but it does provide more openings.
