I know im a year late, but hopefully i can help if you havent gotten any, but if i understand correctly, that transition he did to go infront of the beam is a whole move you can do, you have to attack, or i think you can just press it too but its better to attack first to get a hit off and do as much damage as possible, yk? then press right trigger B (using an Xbox controller) then point your analog stick towards it and it will counter it and not take any damage. then if you land the counter and hit the monster, you can press your spirit combo right after and it will will the roundslash and level up your spirit gauge, hope i helped haha

1:18 impressed me. I find it a bit difficult to level up the gauge when fighting Rajang, and I've never thought of running into one of his attacks that way. Guess I need to get more creative 👀

Btw i'm looking for arena quests to pratice but all i can see is is the ones at gathering hub. Thoses are not available for every weapons. This is pointless... Other thing is i realised that arena quests i did via Optional Quest doesn't exist anymore and i can't craft the Asure star weapon"s path. Did i miss something?

@@alanibarra553 Helm breaker used to have this weird hitbox where it would completely miss or do very little damage sometimes even if the attack landed directly on a monster. A true nightmare.

Thank you Peppo! Thanks to patch 13.01, Longsword has become fun since the helmbreaker fix. Now if only Capcom would do some changes to the Iai stance attacks. The Iai spirit slash counter 2nd delayed hit really irritates me(it sometimes miss, it hits non weakspots, etc. ) Also Capcom should buff Iai sheath speed exclusively when using Quick sheath level 3. the speed difference is almost non-existent. also, they should add combo routes like SNS and DB to tenderize easier.( Example: 1:use up one spirit gauge to tenderize parts once; 2: after spirit roundhouse slash, you can transition to clutch claw grapple.)
Why not make the ls do everything? The weapon is already the most used among the players since it provides so much mobility, evasion, counters, and damage. Lol The weapon is balanced anything more would just break the game.
@potato sack well technically they made changes for iai sheath where it went from hyper armor to s upon successful parry and quick sheath lvl 3 feels like a proper quick sheath now. Thank you Rise!
Kinda, I used to play vindictus years ago and I’d say that MHW (this game) is a lot more fluid in combat and the monsters are a totally different fight depending on what map you’re on, so the replayability is awesome. If you’re interested in this game I would recommend looking up a few play throughs of it and look into the fighting mechanics. I’ve sunk around 400+ hours into recently and still am not finished and all of the content! ^^
But then again, people said Vindictus plays kinda like Warframe (for some bizarre reason), so I rly dunno if Vindictus plays like anything at this point :v

They are almost the same. I would say Raging Brachy LS might be slightly better with some monsters because it has 150 more blast in the set, but -5 base raw and -5% affinity ;)
I think I know why I have never seen anyone Speedrun Pukei pukei and it’s subspecies Because even though Rajang moves a lot it doesn’t run to the other side of the arena TO CHOW DOWN IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FIGHT
