May Allah bless this Sheikh for speaking up the truth. A lot of our sisters today are been encouraged to perform tabarruj even when they have covered (hijab) and this is a great fitnah for the sisters and the brothers. Covering the face with niqab prevents one for applying make up (tabarruj) to please others and we are to please none other else except Allah. So covering the face is way of pleasing Allah and avoiding fitnah.

Ibn Abbas (ra) is one of the most learned men of the Sahaba (Companions). Prophet Muhammad ((may Peace Be Upon Him)) even prayed for him saying "O Allah, make him acquire a deep understanding of the religion of Islam and instruct him in the meaning and interpretation of things." He with reference to Surah An-Nur “except only that which is apparent” as Ibn Kathir narrated with a Sahih (authentic) chain of narrators, said it’s "The hand, the ring, and the face." Abdullah Ibn Omar Ibn Al-Khattab (ra) said “the face and the two hands”. Anas Ibn Malik (ra) said “the hand and the ring”. Ibn Hazm said: “all of this (statements) are in the highest of accuracy. And so are statements by Ali (ra), Aisha (ra), and other Tabi’een”.
Now you have to think who would understand these verses better than Aisha (ra) the MOST knowledgeable woman in the matters of Islam and the wife of Prophet Muhammad ((may Peace Be Upon Him))?
People do whatever they want and a Niqab is more something out of Eastern countries or a Wahhabi thing. Everybody believes that inviting people to Islam (Da'wah) is obligatory (fardh). The niqab is often a very significant barrier to da'wah in the West where the concept of face covering has never been knows. If a recommended act is a barrier to an obligatory act, one must not sacrifice the fardh for the sunnah. And Allah knows best.

Over here in lebanon, the shafi'i madhab is predominant, and it's safe to say most women don't only reveal their faces, rather also commit tabarruj, free mixing in universities and work environments, and very lenient talks with the opposite gender. WAllahi, any scholar with bare minimum fiqh of weighing pros and cons, if seen the condition over here, would give the verdict of the obligation of niqab upon all women in such an environment.

To me, based on evidence, that it make no sense to cover hair but not the face. If a woman covers her face but not the hair, are men going to go crazy seeing her hair alone? Why is it that we’re covering the hair but not the face when the face plays a bigger part over the hair?
According to Quran 24:31 it says to cover beauty apart from what’s apparent. This is where the disagreement is on : what is apparent. Based on Quran and human behaviour the face has to be covered as the face is part of beauty as well as the hair. I never said ‘in my opinion’ in what I stated.

Follow the one who brings evidence. And if you’re unable to then you make taqlid of one who you trust in knowledge until you learn.
As for blood, then the scholars differed on this matter however the most correct opinion is that it does not invalidate wudhu (unless it is period blood or blood which has been given specifically by the legislation as proof to cancel out your wudhu). The evidence for that is that the companions used to pray with their blood on them from battles etc and this was in the time of the prophet ﷺ. Sheikh Al-Albani mentioned thay even if these circumstances were hidden from the prophet ﷺ at his time, this would not have been hidden from Allah ‎ﷻ, and if it was truly something which breaks the wudhu then the prophet ﷺ would have revealed this in the tongue of the messenger ﷺ.
Finally I advise you to seek knowledge and to not let this be a demotivating factor for you. It was mentioned that Ibn Hazm entered the masjid at his time and someone told him to pray before he sits, so he got up and prayed. And then another time it is mentioned that he entered the mosque and he prayed before siting, and someone told him you should have sat before you prayed (as it was after asr, and the scholars differed on this) so it is mentioned that he began seaming knowledge and became a learnt all the fiqh matter in three years, and some say 9 years and some in between.

Did u not listen to what he said before? The henna hack was recommended for women only during ihram, because covering face during ihram is literally not permissible. But carrying out the henna hack is not obligatory either, its just recommended incase the woman doesn’t wanna show her face

Except all sources of Islam say that Muslim women must cover everything except the face and hands. So what gives? Niqab is Not mandatory, it is merely advised, good, an extra step, etc.

Close to half of the scholars argue that it is wajib, the other ones claim that it is mustahhabb. If you tell women to show their faces, you do this due to the evil of your heart or ignorance, no other option.

Here is an actual pragmatic dissection of whether or not the niqab is mandatory. Many Shafi'is, Most Hanbalis, and many Hanafis believe it to be, so not sure who you are to say that your pragmaticism is sufficient for istihlal.
