I have one of those tecumseh 2-strokes. build an expansion pipe for it (there's software to calculate the size and give you 2d templates for the steel) and bolt up a carb from a bigger tecumseh 4-stroke (HM-80 or similar.) an expansion pipe and larger diameter carb REALLY wakes it up once you get the jetting right.
What makes builds like this death traps is lack of good breaks . Something to think about before adding more power. Speed is fun but stopping when you need to is priceless. ; )
Dear Oliver, thank you! So I see the mood of the narrative has a changed a bit, and I appreciate it. Great build and it was a lot of fun watching and hearing you. I got the alphabet and the Ryobi, unfortunately no Kimster this time. Oh well, I will hope for the next time. Sad to hear about your Scoliosis. Take care of yourself and I always looking forward to seeing you again! Be well, Sincerely Alicia.
For such a small engine, that thing has a lot of power! My favorite part was the shifting lever. Very intuitive, but I would've gone with something more like a regular 3 speed riding law mower transmission, so part of the lever's function is to engage/disengage the clutch between gears. I also would've gone with a Honda GX-35 engine because it has the RPMs of a 2-stroke, the convenience and reliability of a 4-stroke, power and efficiency for it's size you might not find otherwise. It won't be good for off-roading, but I wouldn't put that much money and work into a bike I intend to put through that kind of hell, anyway. To top it off, I'd get metal mag wheels, compound tires and make 2 1.25 gallon gas tanks bridged with a brass tee, from oil bottles attached like panniers to the bike for increased range and low drag. I'd eventually like to add stabilizing wheels to the front and back, a backup 100W 12V pedal assist motor pulled from a scooter and modified (with 100W 12V solar panel on the top of a cargo trailer, charge controller and deep cycle gel cell marine battery in the trailer) for efficiency, reliability, better all-weather capability and low stress to the bike. I'd keep the pedals for legal reasons and added low profile pegs that can fold beside the crank arms, to replace the nuts that hold the crank arms on and to come out from the bottom bracket for a more balanced feel. Part of the reason my arthritis got so bad was because I just had my feet on the pedals, same position with my left foot in front of my right foot while not moving the pedals much while riding my last build. My lower spine was therefore canted which I didn't feel right away, I didn't even know I was developing a degenerative health condition at the time, but after a few 100 mile round trips with no suspension except in the seat, I guess that last trip was the proverbial "straw that broke..." MY back. That's right before I experienced the most debilitating pain in my life, was diagnosed with osteoarthritis. I was seeing a chiropractor weekly for months before I got back to a point I could function almost as well in my own life as I had before, just with a few extra inconveniences while waking up or sitting for more than about 15 minutes straight. I never want to go through so much pain again, so yeah, my next bike with engine will have better suspension and folding pegs regardless.
Love how everything you do is pieced together like Frankenstein(s) monster. We did the same growing up. However we were inspired by Mad Max so everything we concocted looked like it would cause tetanus if you got scratched by it
I love the builds builds brother, I need to gather up some parts and engines and do what you do, great channel. Real solid content and keeps getting better
Started buying at B+H in 1975 till my Hassy became a door stop. Made me sick. All my studio strobe equipment went in the junk bin.😝. End of my Advertising career in 2009. Ha ha was watching a B+H photo ad on here!
Love your videos. I have a question I'm in the process of getting parts together to build a Mini bike from a Mongoose Fling (girls BMX). I plan on using a RYOBI 31cc 2 stroke engine. My plan is to use a Real Tree brand vacuum flask for my gas tank. Will the vacuum flask work?
Could you put up some of the unedited gopro footage of you going through the gears? Its kinda tough to really see or appreciate what it is that your doing in this vid. 😁
I Give it a 9 Origional Good Job as always theres room to improve Now LET ER RIPP TATERCHIP ! ! ! give it a sip of nitro like cox car gas. when ya get er in high gear and hang on
Glad to see someone else uses CAD (Cardboard Assisted Design) for making metal monstrosities.
no better way.
He uses more types of CAD then you know what to do with 😂
U yinius

FrankTheCat what’s the web site
FrankTheCat, very much pretty please. The website to calculate the expansion chamber?!
Ugly?? That clutch linkage is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen lol
lol it almost gave me a stroke designing it though
@@OliverMotorized 😂😂
BTW that is not UGLY, it is CHARACTER. Well done.
What makes builds like this death traps is lack of good breaks .
Something to think about before adding more power.
Speed is fun but stopping when you need to is priceless. ; )
it needs an expansion chamber on it those little tecumseh engines can rip if you take it apart and port it and fine tune port timing
Loved the audio of the shifting.. rev it up, pause, (shift) then begin the rev climb again.. just like the old 2 cycle motor bikes of yesteryear..
..Your commentary is getting snarkerier too! (..Aged neighbor/windows 10..she is right btw.. millennials-working, though again true..)
haha thanks for the feedback my friend!
The clutch /lawnmower trans is fantastic! Much better than the usual centrifugal clutch system!
I agree, more fun too lol
This bike actually reminds me of the first motorcycles 👍👍👍
you do good work what ever you do.so it was the carb that kept it from running. I love the old two stroke engines. Cant beat the sound.
it was, still not exactly what about the carb was bad, but oh-well.
Love the Goldbergian design. Nice to see someone using this engine. I have one still in service and was pondering its utility for this application.
David Link I’ll take it off ur hands and slap it on this bike for extra oomf lol!
I remember the first time you built that bike, great to see you still having fun with it, and a big"Hey to you in Oregon"
this guy is a mechanical genius
It's sketchy, ugly, dirty and slow. I fucking love it.
Love this build. Always wanted to make a trike with a Peerless 3 speed axle and similar hook up to engine of choice.
Favorite part is the linkage for the belt pully. Im useing kinda the same set up on my 3 wheeled bike. You gave me an idea to help me with my project
nice! thanks for the comment Jeff. good luck on ur 2 wheeler
Did he say 'Like your Mama?' lol... 🤘
Оливер ты удивляеш своим мастерством молодец.
🔥🤟 Your video was on point lol
haha thanks bud
Vasily! I hope the recovery is going well
I like your bike and your video editing but I love your comments as you build the bike.
thanks for the feedback! was trying something new

@@OliverMotorized Thank you so much for your reply. With so many followers, that you find time to respond, is amazing and I am grateful.
Be well.
I love your sense of humor dude
I really like the footwear. Great for welding.
Love all your videos, but this one was probably the most entertaining ive seen yet.
Thanks for all the carburetor help guys! Also check the description for parts info!
what was the actual issue?
i liked the video, whats the gas tank you are using? i like that style .
I love it. Should have used the idler with the edger blade for added excitement!
Love the old Tecumseh tractor rearend. I'd always been looking for a way to put gears on a build and never thought to use a tractor rear end
it works surprisingly well!
I was half expecting for some bloooper of the bike falling off of the rack as you drove off. Great commentary.

Thanks for the comment Kenny, hope you're doing better now! HOnda GX-35 seems like a good bet!

Clown Shoes MMA Appreciate the comment! I get a lot of folks saying my creations are mad max lookin. Luckily I was vaccinated hah
Cool build dude next time you use a two stroke they will run in either direction the starter is the only deciding factor 👍🏻✌️🇺🇸
ya coulda told me that like a week ago! haha jk
Oliver Motorized you handled it well 👍🏻
Awesome video 👍😁👍♥️
Thank you friend!
Damn the Tecumseh has a huge flywheel!
Damn... Thats good engineering😂 I love this thing🔥👍
I love the builds builds brother, I need to gather up some parts and engines and do what you do, great channel. Real solid content and keeps getting better
Do it my friend! thank you
I feel like you put more work into the video on this one. Keep it up man these are a lot of fun.
yeah just trying to upgrade each video
I like the shifter! Good Idea!
Love it!!! Looks Mad Max Style!!!
This thing is frickin awesome!! Great work brotha!!!
Thanks!
Nice job. The little engine that did. Good thing you don't have to title it. It probably would have cost about $800.
The bike would be perfect in a steampunk movie.
I like that engineering Good job Oliver keep it up J. B.
Love your channel bro, you’re a very talented dude! dope humor too...lol
🤙🔥🤙🇨🇦
Thanks brutha!
very very exciting moped y have there dude
This is unique and awesome!
Cool build!
Voice over is pretty great.
I hope you’re an engineer, if not, you should be. So cool
well done OLIVER very good
thank you Harry!
Your video editing skills are improving each video, keep it up!
It's just the right amount of ugly. Love it.
Another awesome video. I would have to say that the transmission is dam cool.
That commentary was great I enjoyed 10/10
thanks for the feedback !
I love this bike ❤️♥️ put 2 smaller fat tires and it will look like one of the motorcycle from Mad Max
Chasing them with a giant chainsaw 🤣🤣🤣 you got my subscription with that
Very Good. Great Job
Unlike Millennials this will work,lol..........OMG,that was good...
Thumbs up for that comment alone!
Very "steampunk" very cool.
Лайк за ботинок рваный))) 😁 Молодец Оливер
thank you, This bike reminds me of your old motor bike!
Awesome work man. Keep it up!
dude he got a freaking manual transmision f.. nice bro i would like my gasbike to have this
Awesome job!!!!
thanks!
THE TRANSMISSON FOR SURE
By all means, you need an expansion chamber. It would definitely wake up the engine. Nevertheless, keep up the good work!
yeah, just need to find one for an engine like this
Not bad for Millennial i'm generation x pretty cool i hope you remove governor on that motor it would give better speed that way.
haha thank you, wonder if it has a governer?
Have you try switch out sprockets to 32t that would give you more speed.
Again another very entertaining video👍❤😎

with all that metal , call her the "sherman bike". But nice build non-the-less . KUDOS.
haha I like it, thanks m8!
peace brother be safe
i am very inspired by that i going to make my own
"while you guys were skipping ahead" literally skipped to that part lol
Engine might seem a bit weedy due to the exhaust. Got to get that scavenge with the 2 smokes.
I like the expansion chamber idea

Fucking hell your channel is so underrated, definitely deserve a like!

cheers buddy thanks!
“A nice thick piece of metal like your mama” nearly spat my coffee 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
That is indeed an ugly bike, but your ingenuity and desire to tinker is inspiring.
thank you mark
What kind of welder you use?
I have to know how long that took you to figure and build that linkage. Amazing how you can see things
It was a solid 5 hours. most of it was mentally chewing on how to get it to work lmao.
Perfect build! Need more info on where to get the shoes. And do they come in white?
you can just have mine lol
I love all the builds very creative mind and the commentary was the best 😂
thank you for the feedback !
