Wow that chayote plant is very cool, here in Puerto Rico we have a chayote plant that produces a big football sized white chayote that has little spikes on the outside ridges, and we mostly use it for salads or boiled and then stuffed with meat and put on a oven, it’s really delicious stuffed and I find it fascinating that there’s different varieties and that it could be eating as a fruit , learned something new!! Great video, best wishes!

Small chayotes (aka choko in Australia) are my favourite, the whole lot including the seed is very tender, and tastier than the big ones. I have eaten the chayote tubers, and found them quite a lot like potato and sweet potato, certainly better than some other potato wannabes!

James Triplett 🙏 thank you, but I bet there is so much bio diversity to explore in your region. You just Gotta seek it out and find others that are doing the same.

Aloha Rob & Andy, Loving your videos. Thanks so much for the inspiration. I really hope to do the same one day. I've got little starts in portable pots bc we don't have a permanent location yet. Once we get a more permanent location, I'd love to get involved in your start sharing program. Would it be possible to come by & visit some time?
