Scott adkins and marko zaror both are my favourite fighters.
Adkins would have been an excellent Batman, the fight scenes would've been amazing.
But he is not tall enough for the role
@@Watonearth Neither was Michael Keaton, he is only 5'8" and he was lauded as Batman. Christian Bale wasn't as tall as Batman should have been either, and neither were Val Kilmer or George Clooney. Batman is 6'2" and so far Adam West and Robert Pattinson are the only two actors to be the correct height (you can count Ben Affleck too even though he is 6'4"). Scott is 5'11", so the difference isn't exactly huge, plus camera angles can work magic.

@@kingofthering3343 - Well I don't know if Michael boring Keaton is actually 5'8 ? My co-worker met him and got into a verbal spat with his secretary and this happened at the airport in Chicago. NOW, who I met.....which was such a big disappointment was Kiefer 24 Sutherland - Like 5'5 I think and that's with him wearing cowboy boots.
And Zaror would have been an excellent Deathstroke.

This movie is so underrated, Luke LaFontaine did an amazing job with the more gritty, grounded boxing style fight choreography and contrasted it so well against Marko's more acrobatic, tricking based fighting, truly an awesome finale fight.
I concur. very realistic fighting throughout the whole movie. I think the flashiest kick in the whole thing was the jump spining kick where Tillman disarms Rastignac. even that wasn't really THAT flashy. I loved the realism of this movie. and while I wish Jesse would've toned it down with the slow mo a little, it did allow for us to see just how much contact they were making with these moves. very well done IMO

@Tariq Waseem He's actually British, which is probably why he doesn't get much work from Hollywood, USA. But, I get the feeling he's content with where he is, both in terms of his career and where he is living.
@Tariq Waseem I know that. But, in the world of cinema, an actor 's worth is based on "box office " numbers. An Englishman like Jason Statham is able to get Hollywood roles, because "The Transporter" was a box office blockbuster. Scott Adkins and Michael Jai White (who's American) haven't had any box office "breakout " roles, yet, so as talented as they are, they are relegated to the action genre "ghetto " of martial arts movies. But, at least both actors have "cult" status.
I watched Zaror in a movie called Redeemer.. that is one skilled martial artist.. really enjoyed him in that movie! These Hollywood actors have nothing on these two when it comes to action!
oh he shut it down in Redeemer. not too many people that can fuck with Marko Zaror. the agility and mobility he has at his size is insane. and don't sleep on how strong he is.
A Only the Strong reboot with Scott Adkins as Louis Stevens and Marko Zaror as Silverio would be FUCKING BADASS.

Scott Adkins is such an awesome martial artist. He is also incredibly good looking. He is the only true action hero still left. He is the only action hero who can take you back to the Stallone and Van Damme era. I don't know why he never gets the recognition he deserves. He is billion times better than bald idiots like Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel.

Donnie Yen is still going strong too, he's pushed Jackie Chan and Jet Li out of the spotlight to an extent now that they can no longer do stunts & choreography at the same level as in their prime (Jet Li's also apparently had health issues).

I love this fight! Savage Dog is so underrated!!! I must say I still would wish so much that you would have done one more great kick in the end before cutting him up....it wouldn't have taken away the grittiness of the fight..

This is a really good fight! Pretty clever that he's known for his kicks so you take out his legs. I don't like how he's crawling away at the end but I guess it makes sense for the story because he made people sacred and small and then he finally felt scared small himself.
