No way you posted the whole album! Guys I hate you, I had to write my thesis! Thank you very much, been looking forward to this! You shouldn't have uploaded the whole thing; make those lazy-ass internet surfers take out THE MONEY for you! I definitely will buy a physical copy and play this loud in my car around the streets of Milan! Cheers guys and congratulations
It doesn't really lose them any money, I doubt anyone who was going to buy the album now won't just because it's available on youtube. If anything, this'll make them more money.
the thing is barely anybody pays for albums now, and there a long tradition of people uploading albums on youtube. So few years all record labels started and bands just puting full albums on youtube for streaming, for more exposure and stuff. Cause they live off primarly off of concerts. I personnaly still buy most of my music on bandcamp, but that a minority.
To me this is like a bound of trust with the fanbase. We can instantly see how good the album is without reading critics, and in return support them. I like this way of thinking, and I really hope the community will indeed support them.
I agree with you, and in this day and age, if someone wants to pirate commonly DRM-free content like music/movies - they will. The fans who want to actually support the band will buy the album whether it's uploaded to RUclips or not. At least this way, Gorod's official RUclips channel will get the views, which is credible in the modern music industry.
Congratulations, guys! What a masterpiece! I've been listening to the album since the morning. This, in my opinion, is the catchiest album you've made. Amazing album, my initial rating is 9/10. This is an instant album of the year contender!
Damn techical death metal is so damn fuckin good thank you for making this type of music. i am more of a black metal guy but i also love technical death metal because it reminds me of when i was in my 9th grade year i use to listen to a lot of technical death metal. just listening to this genre brings memories and i've never even listen to your band. all i have to say is thank you :).
Wow. So great! and the moon turned black is easily one of your best songs. It's amazing you guys have been playing for so long and continue to push the boundaries of the genre with each release. true kings.
I like to picture Hina, And the Moon turned black, and Chandra and the maiden all as one song. Each song compliments the one following scarily well. Love the album in its entirety, but that trio is on a different level.
Pretty dope! At times it sounds a bit like "Gorodjira" with those tapping parts, hard riffs and layered vocals on top of it all. But if anything, that's actually a good influence and it works even better in a tech death formula.
these guys are masters of remixing phrasings and patterns/information from the Faceless and Necrophogist for a fresh new take on a metal songs love it!
Horrendous is Currenlty my 2nd for Aoty. That album is fucking killer... Need to give this a few more listens before I properly rank it. But boy am I enjoying the hell out of it.
I'm on the opposite end, I enjoy Horrendous a LOT (especially The Idolater and Golgothan Tongues), but need to give it some more listens. Gorod impressed on the first listen though, and I think the record is diverse enough for my opinion to stay this way. 2018 rules!
And those two bands are the ones I'm indirectly referring to. Especially BC let me down with Algorythm. Both bands obviously had good songs on their albums, but plenty of stuff I'd skip (so tired of "epic intromentals" on metal albums).
i found you guys prob 7 months ago... and you guys are in my BEST BANDS LIST! Beautiful melody, awesome technicality, you guys ROCK! Thank you so much for your art. :)
Holy shit what variety! The opening passage of the title track could almost be a mid-era Mastodon song! These guys NEVER disappoint. And to think I was totally unaware they had an album coming out until two days ago....best year for metal to date.
I just bought a physical copy today. Still havent listened to the whole album, but for what ive heard it sounds very good. Probably one of the best record along with Obscura’s Diluvium and Beyond Creation‘s Algorythm !!
That's exactly the same for me ! Those three albums (diluvium, algorythm, aethra) are the best of tech Death/prog And they are very high in my rank of favorite albums of all time.🔥 Edit : of course "gloire éternelle" by first fragment is still my favourite of all time 🤘🏻
Quelle année pour le tech death ! Obscura, Beyond Creation, Alkaloid... Et maintenant ça. Comme d'hab c'est excellent. Terriblement bien composé. Julien rejoint son homonyme de Benighted dans le panthéon des meilleurs chanteurs Français. Très impressionnant.
So yesterday I traveled for an hour in order to find a copy of Vildhjarta's masstaden, but then while thoroughly looking for it in the shop I saw this album and I am so happy I bought it :D (along with Beyond Creation's Algorythm)
I love the influence from Obscura on Hina- you guys took that feel from Cosmogenesis and just fucking killed it in a whole new way. And the opening riffs for The Sentry and Bekhten's Curse, fuck. I've thought that it would be a LONG time before I heard something to contend with Necrophagist's Epitaph, but I think you guys have tied that for my favourite tech death record. Fuck, man. I found this like 6 months ago, and it is STILL the only thing I'm spinning.
Just hit play. Considering y’all are always putting out fire ass material, I’m sure this will go right to the top of my tech albums of the year along with Revenant, Algorythm and Esoteric.
@@juliendeyres2011 You bet your ass I was there. :o) Best line-up I've ever seen (I'm 45 years old now and I've seen many dozens of concerts and festivals in my life). All hail tech death and long life Gorod!
This album helped me a lot trought my days back in the inferno... (my old home) (lmao) so Im truly greatful with this band. Honestly I started hearing them out of corusity, I even thougt that they will be some band that will be to repetitive but honestly your work its awesome. Keep it high lml
Goddess of Dirt is probably my favorite track, overall such a good album! Really glad you guys are still developing your sound after all these years. Cheers!
Im so gad i clicked on this, i used to listen to a perfect absolution back to back all the time and this (no offence) blows it out of the water, phenomenal, definitely one to add to the physical collection
Might just be a masterpiece. Just ordered this one and the last one. I can't believe I didn't keep up with these guys after all those awesome 2000s albums

Good album, but have to say it doesn't topple your 3rd album, that was a masterpiece! Still waiting for a re-release of Process of a New Decline onto Vinyl LP!
How did I miss this band in exploring heavy metal in the last half year I don't know but I'm glad I'm here checking all your albums guys. Yall amazing artists! Cheers. I also wonder was Corpsegrinder an influence to the vocalist? Especially on Leading Vision album?
much better release than Beyond Creation's one. I love both bands, but Gorod always better with their ideas, sound and songwriting. Well, Algorythm is really a step back for BC, sorry.
Possible someone found gojira here....another one mastodon... As for me its smth definitely self-sufficient with a little bit of Grossman.... I listen to this band from its first albums in parallel with Gojira.... These guys are much more complex in spite of all gojira genious and tasty riffs.

What are your favorite songs by Gorod?
Top 15 or top 10 if you don't mind🙏

Узнал о группе из ютубканала DPrize (ведёт Алексей) от одного из его подписчиков. Круто! Спасибо! 🤘
Thank you for once again including the Triangle. The most underrated and forgotten instrument in extreme metal.
The Triangle thanks you!

No Rivers of Nihil? This album is GREAT and I am really digging it but "owls" was my pick until this came along
Liquid Anatomy by Alkaloid is my album of the year.
