Am 28, married and still I have never talked back at my mum. She is a principal now and is a privilege having her as my mentor. In fact now she is my best friend. I thank God I was raised in a godly home so technology has got nothing on me and the biblical principles I was raised with. I obey my parents and my husband keeps telling me that’s amongst the many reasons he married me. Respect for the elderly is a biblical principle with promise.

The was you combine love, firmness and humour in your speech is so commendable.... Somebody will first be feeling so loved, the next minutes you have a straight face on thinking about your life and the next, you are laughing..... God bless you ma
And the quality over quantity is a major key you released.... I hope a lot of people caught it like I did!

Pastor Mildred’s comment about family knowledge in Africa is soo true. I am fro Ghana and I stay in 🇨🇦 Canada. I have always missed the love and respect of family. The love a mother has for her child in Africa is so extraordinary. My mum used her last savings to buy my flight ticket and I am so indebted to her. In a western world like Canada I don’t see any mother doing such an act! To sacrifice? That’s never possible. Africa is great and the proverbs and foundations our fathers and mothers laid are the best in the world.

I say a lot of I’m tired because of the situations surrounding me as an individual. It gets really frustrating sometimes when I’m trying to put in effort into something and at the end hear I’m lazy or don’t help our regardless of how much I try.....at that point it’s tiring and then I begin to go back to think about myself alone that I realize I have t even figured out my own life yet. On that note I only want to do things that concerns me alone so I can beat my chest and say I know where I put in my energy

As a millennial and as a parent, I see where we clash with the older generation. The world is changing and would always be.. In terms of education and pathways to success, (though I speak for myself) I feel most of our older generation see education and specialization THE pathway to success. While our generation see harnessing our talents as our pathway to success. I believe the clash is in the application. So, Mrs Mildred l,if it is possible, is there a way you can teach us how to have conversations with previous generations helping them to understand the times we are in while showing us how to apply their wisdom & knowledge in our generation to be successful.

    • @uchok3051

For those who think "she is not making sense", go and read the book of proverbs. You have really made a very good point and I really love this, I love to listen to things like this as well as practice it equally, but in my contemporary rigorous research, I found out that what this generation need is enlightenment but it's really absurd that the devil has clothed so many people with psychosclreosis mindset of which deliverance is indispensably and inevitable for they total freedom. How can a Lady be in a relationship with 17 guys and their call it smartness, how can a guy be in a relationship with 20 ladies and still call it normal, well let me still hold my own peace before they will react now. Thank you my Good friend your words are seriously captivating, God bless you and more Grace!

Yes very true, there was a time when you meet an elderly woman from the market and even if you have been sent or going somewhere, you carry their items to their house before going. Sometimes you sit in a bus and and give up your seat for the elderly woman or elderly man. I don't see this any more. Is about "I paid for that seat & I came first" you can stand. Mercy!!

Thank you ma'am. Everything you've said is the truth and I have my own experience. But I'm working on being a better person starting with a good character majorly because of my future. May God continue to strengthen you Ma'am (Amen)
