      Do you think that reading will improve my fluency and articulation when speaking? I am starting to feel that when I speak I am not as fluent as before and have some trouble articulating my words and idk why, I’ve barely read books in my life, and I gotta change that. It’s a habit that I will start now.

      @sebastianirigoyen16 I also noticed the same decline of articulation at some point in my life. I wouldn't say silently reading improves articulation. It's the practice of speaking out loud. Your voice is a muscle. If it isn't frequently used, it gets weaker. The solution is to speak out loud more often.
      Since there are days where I don't socialize enough, I practice by sounding out new words (say the whole sentence). Read a book out loud. I do this with Spanish books to improve my Spanish fluency. When I read nonfiction, I try to see if I can explain it to an imaginary person. At times, I explain random stuff to my dog. When I'm journaling or writing jargon, I try to come up with creative phrases and say them out loud.
      I'll stop here. Hope this helps!

    Another point is that reading helps a lot with fostering discipline and such values. For example, just by sitting down and doing something that you don’t want to do like reading where nothing is really happening you’re just taking information and processing it with your brain helps a lot making your mind less ADHD.. I can definitely vouch for it because how you treat your body in a way is how you treat your life and if you skip on reading and stuff like exercise well chances are you’re not living a very good life

This passively reading is done also when we're rotting in our bed watching pointless videos on any platform that really have no impact on us. There is a big difference between passively reading and active reading, where you are aware of what you are reading.

    the best way to learn things, are ways that we had time to evolve around.
    1) practice, at all times, throughout human evolution, we learnt things trough observation and practice
    2) teacher, since language has existed, we have learned things thanks to another human.
    3) reading, not many could read, but reading knowledge has definitely existed lot enough for humans to evolve around it
    learning from videos, pictures and the internet in general is extremely new, no one in history has ever had the opportunity to learn this way, and our brain never had a way to evolve and adapt to this opportunity.

      For subtitles, it's extremely usefull when you are learning a new language, it makes understanding what the person is saying so much easier, so i guess it counts, as beneficial, but with diminishing return the more you know a language.

      Stress makes us dumb. You don't need more than what you can in one day, sometimes less is more. I read everyday, even in holidays and vacations but after It "gets satured" i stop for hoursor even call It a day.
      Also, i dont think academic life IS something health if It is excessive. In my 15-17 years old i was in a School that had 450minutes of class in a day before a day of test day. I would have to do homework and study after being 8hours in School. I couldn't learn at ALL and put The blame on me. That's not good, you can't overeffort and then want even more, that's distressful, we need to rest.
      Study doesn't necessarily mean learning, and If you're not learning then you're wasting time in front of a book.
      You have limited focus, so use It to learn what you need more.

    Almost a convincing presentation, except for the rather convention-defying initializing analogy;
    It is strangely the introverted people like Max who are having more incentive to love reading.
    Attractive people, especially who are likewise extroverted, (tend to) have little to no motivation to know anything beyond their own immediate interests & short-term gratifications.
