They work 80 days a year casting GSL. Artosis does the Pylon show every week and also has some additional casting gigs. And it is easily forgotten that the job of a good caster includes him doing research on the scene, playing the game on a high level, and think of storylines, interesting thoughts and good jokes for a good show.

I don't know how much revenue the Pylon Show racks up, but 80 days with their "day job" didn't seem like it would amount to a great payday. I guess maybe Korea is cheaper, then again, they get Korean salaries. I'm still curious.
@@MaverickMyth I think they're probably paid quite well. Tastosis are *the* top casters of SC2 and aren't doing that many events apart from GSL - probably because they don't need it. It's Showbiz - once you're established, you're paid well. As far as I understood Pylon show earns Artosis 500$ from the patreon money per month. South Korea definitely isn't known to be cheaper, especially not in Seoul. Apartments are insanely expensive if I remember that correctly.
