The factory Audi radio would turn on with the car off and turn itself off in 1 hour to prevent battery drain. Aftermarket radios do not have this feature. If you use the Enfig SRWH the radio will turn on with the car and turn off when you pull out the key not when you turn off the radio.

I own a 2006 Audi S4 B7 Avant with the 10 speaker Bose system. the speakers themselves still sound absolutely fantastic but I would like to add either a couple of 12in subwoofers to the equation or at least one 12in subwoofer.. with that of course it means I will be adding a separate amplifier to power the sub or subs.. and I'd also like to add an aftermarket deck similar to this pioneer since I don't have Bluetooth capabilities at the moment. Can I accomplish everything I'm looking to do without affecting my Bose speakers in the car? like many others of course I want to make sure the steering wheel still controls the volume in the track of whatever I'm listening to as well.
Or I'm completely fine with sticking with the stock deck so long as it has the option for me to add a Bluetooth connection to it? After searching, I am still confused about the operation of the ignition wire. I have recently upgraded to an pioneer avh-1500dvd........The original stereo automatically turned on when the key was turned and off when the key was removed. In addition, I could still use the stereo when the car was off and the key was removed from the ignition. Is there anyway I can use the stereo without the key in the ignition and still have it turn off and on automatically with the start/stop of the car?

I want this, I have a 2004 Audi A6 with Bose Symphony stereo. I want a set up where I can maintain control of radio with existing steering wheel buttons as well as the Sirius XM radio. Do I need anything extra or can I just hook up the Antenna to the stereo and receive the Satellite radio? I really don't know how the Sat radio works. Its the original stereo, I press Sat button under Tape and the radios number came up, activated and been using it since. I don't want to loose XM or steering control but want a nice touch screen radio since Audi Navi Plus modules cost around $1200
You need a new tuner but we have all the cables to use the factory Sirius antenna. Contact us for info on what you need for the A6 its a little different.

I meant always use the screws that come with the Pioneer radio. Our kits come with the side brackets and the screws in a separate bag. You will need the side brackets to install the radio. Call us if you didn't receive them.
They all need the HILO but one some radios more than others. It depends on the output voltage of the RCA's. On radios with 2V outputs you can hear a huge difference. On radios with 5V outputs the difference is not that huge and you can probably do without but for a few dollars more for better sound I would still get the hilo for better sound.
The cage comes with its own tools to remove the radio. It's a little tight because of the cars opening but you can help it using some hook tools on the copper tabs.

When going to remove an installed unit with this kit, how do I pop out the trim piece to get to the copper tabs without snapping the trim piece in the process? I feel like if I pry on it the tabs are going to snap
I have never had a tab snap. With that said if you go out to your car and it's 20 degrees outside and try to pop off the cover it will probably snap. As long as the plastic is not cold it will not snap.
I always recommend looking in Yelp for a reputable installer. Yelp is full of people that want to give negative reviews. It's hard to have a good reputation on Yelp.
If you did not buy our dash kit then the rest of the kits clip in and there is no way to remove the aftermarket radio without wrestling it out of the dash. You will not have that problem with our dash kit.
I have an 06 Audi S4 i has the Bose system i want to replace the head unit on it. I keep hearing about the ohms being too low and doing so it will damage the speakers or even the cars computer. Do you guys have had any issues like this or do ur harness takes care of the issue?
Okay, i am a bit confuse with the radio antenna. My 2001 Audi A4 equipped with bose that has now aftermarket everything. In my 2001 it has 2 antennas connection but on the website it says it's not compatible with my year. I recently picked up a pioneer 4200 NEX and buying the harness from you guys but can you please clarify which antenna I should get?
Our kit does come with a cage. Some radios come with cages some don't. Out cake is smaller than the cage that comes with radio so if you use our kit you will not need the radio's cage.

If you are talking about a the tabs on the cage they can be bent back. But I recommend you contact us fora replacement. It makes the next install much easier.

You must have not used our harness. Our harness has a can reader to turn the radio on and off.

You can always add on a few subs. Thats pretty common. Depending on the sub it may overpower the interiors. I would talk to you local shop about that.
yeah you can your going to have to butcher the amp on lead and adapter and connect your NEW amp to it to make a three way connection
You can also search for a "mini ISO extension". That way you don't have to cut the factory wiring.

Our SRWH-AUD2-HILO keeps the factory amp happy and you dont lose the rear audio. It also takes care of engine noise and turn on and off pop.

Yes. It's a little tight but its is meant to be removable unlike most of the other kits on the market.

Sometimes on pioneer radios not disconnecting the center channel will cause that.

The cage comes with its own tools to remove the radio. It's a little tight because of the cars opening but you can help it using some hook tools on the copper tabs.

Assuming you have the factory Symphony II radio.

When going to remove an installed unit with this kit, how do I pop out the trim piece to get to the copper tabs without snapping the trim piece in the process? I feel like if I pry on it the tabs are going to snap
I have never had a tab snap. With that said if you go out to your car and it's 20 degrees outside and try to pop off the cover it will probably snap. As long as the plastic is not cold it will not snap.

If you did not buy our dash kit then the rest of the kits clip in and there is no way to remove the aftermarket radio without wrestling it out of the dash. You will not have that problem with our dash kit.
I have an 06 Audi S4 i has the Bose system i want to replace the head unit on it. I keep hearing about the ohms being too low and doing so it will damage the speakers or even the cars computer. Do you guys have had any issues like this or do ur harness takes care of the issue?

Okay, i am a bit confuse with the radio antenna. My 2001 Audi A4 equipped with bose that has now aftermarket everything. In my 2001 it has 2 antennas connection but on the website it says it's not compatible with my year. I recently picked up a pioneer 4200 NEX and buying the harness from you guys but can you please clarify which antenna I should get?
The 2002 Dual antenna adapter does not work with the 2001 dual antenna system. A dual antenna adapter does not exist for your car.

Our kit does come with a cage. Some radios come with cages some don't. Out cake is smaller than the cage that comes with radio so if you use our kit you will not need the radio's cage.

Release the copper locking tabs then pull out the radio. If it's tight you may have to use a pick tool to wiggle it out.

It can be done but you must change some parts in the car. I do not have any more info on this.

Depends on what kit you have. Most kits except for ours lock in and you have to destroy them to get it out.
So when i push in the taps, so the cage wont move.. how can i remove them?
If you are talking about a the tabs on the cage they can be bent back. But I recommend you contact us fora replacement. It makes the next install much easier.

Thye 2002 does not have reverse on the can system so you would have to get it from the reverse light next to the camera.
