  • In this video, let us explore world of largest parasitic flower, Rafflesia characteristics and its adaptations. We have seen plants of all sorts but a common denominator for all of them has been that they are green. These plants are green because of a green pigment called chlorophyll. Chlorophyll is really crucial for these plants for the process of photosynthesis to take place. And believe it or not, photosynthesis is just one of the modes of nutrition in plants. There are some plants that are neither green nor perform photosynthesis. You might have heard of insectivorous, parasitic, saprophytic plants, and so on. In this video, one of the main attractions is Rafflesia Arnoldii which is the biggest flower in the world. Along with Rafflesia, we will see some other examples of plants that do not rely on photosynthesis to get their entire nutrition. Watch the video until the end to learn more about them.
Further in this video, we're going to talk about the difference between autotrophic plants and insectivorous plants. We'll explore how each type of plant captures and eats different types of prey. We'll also discuss why some carnivorous plants are green in colour and some are not.
By the end of this video, we'll know all about the different types of nutrition in plants and why they are different from each other. We'll also be able to identify different types of plants based on their diet and colour. So please stay tuned and let's learn more about insectivorous plants and carnivorous plants!

The bad smell of rafflesia attracts flies and insects which help them to pollinate and helps in taking the nutrition from them
Which means when the flies come across this flower it grabs it and fulfills its own nutrition

    Ans-)
This is because the rotten smell of Rafflesia helps in attracting other living organisms towards it, this will help the rafflesia as the small insects will help to pollinate it's seeds causing their lineage to continue and not just stop.
    Thank you
