When it comes to various traits of a good vocalist, I feel like conveying emotion and feeling is usually never talked about. And this is one area that I think Siyeon absolutely excels in after listening to all of her solo songs.

Everyone seems to leave out “I love you” which is covered by Jiu, Sua, and SiYeon. It is utterly heart-wrenchingly beautiful, and reeeeally showcases their vocals well. I think Jiu’s lovely cry of a voice stood out and you can hear her put herself into it.

Siyeon's cover of Speechless is why she is my ultimate in kpop. Indeed, the blue-checkmarked commenter from disneymusic says in the comments for the video, and I quote, "👏👏". I'm sure there are much more watched kpop cover videos out there, but it's at 11MM views currently which is more than some their title tracks.
'Monster' was originally done by Red Velvet's first Sub-Unit Irene & Seulgi and it can be found on a mini-album they did. This cover was really short and did not do the entire song. I like both versions but I&S still takes the prize because it's the full song. No shame toward Jiu and Yoohyeon of course because they did an AWESOME job! The backing track is from the original song but these two actually vocally covered this as well as dancing to it. JiU covered Irene's part in both vocals and dance (so obviously Yoohyeon covered Seulgi's parts). That neck-grabbing turn-and-tilt is in the original MV as well. The original MV is just INSANE because SM is one of the biggest companies and could afford all the production they felt like putting into the project. Without that kind of budget and only doing a really short cover (basically only half the song), these two still managed to do the song and dance real justice.
At no point in this entire Dreamcatcher journey have I seen Tori as flustered as the was with the "Monster" cover. The original is by Irene and Seulgi from Red Velvet. It's definitely worth a watch one day! To your point about the chemistry between members, it's really something special. There are these big "ships", but that doesn't mean anything. ALL of the members have great chemistry with each other. Any pair of them together doing anything is a treat, even if they're just talking.
Lucky Strike is a really early number, possibly even pre-Chase Me. They did a Great Job! Another early one worth checking out is "There's Nothing Holding Me Back" if only because they are so obviously having a blast doing it.
Can't wait you to react to Yoohyeon's vocal cover of "Secret Love Song" by Little Mix... It's my favourite cover ever!! Her vocal there was very angelic and very beautiful she honestly became my bias wrecker just right after I heard that cover of her... I hope you can react to it one day!

I don’t know if you plan to watch the dance practices for the Dystopian era, but I recommend reacting the performance videos, specifically Scream (Special Ver.), Boca (Part Change Ver.), and Odd Eye (Dystopia Ver.) I’m not a Maroon Five fan, but the Lucky Strike cover is so good. I may have gotten a friend in the Dreamcatcher black hole by showing him Siyeon’s cover of Speechless. I also saw that Dreamcatcher’s cover of Something was the first thing suggested, and I’ll say is “Oh My.”

Ahh im so glad you checked out that Handong cover its one of my favorites and as a handong bias seeing her show off is the best thing ever LOL If you do another one of these cover reactions i think you'll love the Dreamcatcher Chinese Ver medley, its a special clip of handong doing a medley of a couple of dreamcatcher songs but in her language and she did the lyrics and translation too! Although there's one song on there you guys havent heard yet, its on the next album, Its 'A Heart of Sunflower' i think i said in a previous comment how its my favorite ballad haha its so good and hearing handong's version of it with the pretty visuals is an experience LOL

you have to have to must and have to check Yoohyeon 'Secret Love Song', Siyeon and Dami 'Shadow' both version normal and slow. I personally want to watch along Dreamcatcher's Vocal Practice 1 with you, they sang 'Fall in Love with a Monster' as the title I guess(?) Event Horizon is such a beautiful song, I love Younha's original but I also love that it's been covered by so many other artists I love: JiU, Goeun from Purple Kiss, Suhye from Limelight, Dajeong from PIXY, Kwon Eunbi... I really recommend Handong's two Chinese solo singles, "First Light of Dawn" and "That Day", they've been released kinda under the radar and don't have music videos, but there are lyric videos. And also Handong's medley of four Dreamcatcher songs she translated into Chinese, which you maybe know about, though it includes one song from the Summer Holiday album which you haven't heard yet.
Yaja Time! Yaja Time is an informal sub unit comprised of SuA, Siyeon and Yoohyeon. During your last reaction to DC covers you reacted to their cover of Really Really. Well, according to my sources (something Yoohyeon said during a live) their latest cover is now in post and should be releasing some time in the near future. The lucky strike cover literally changed my life 9:25 I felt that. Siyeon singing that line always makes me tear a bit considering all that they've been through, and continue to go through. I've been an InSomnia since MINX's debut as I was a pretty young kid and that music appealed to me, so I never really "slept on them" but I'm SOOO glad people are waking up to their talent and music now.

Queen 👑 of covers. They always did covers like it was their own song. They sound more rocky than Maroon 5 itself. If you don't believe me just listen to the original.
Handong's voice has a purity that perfectly carries the emotion she puts into the song. I still don't know the English lyrics to this song because I don't need to know them. It's all there in her angelic voice. She's come so far from the shy Chinese girl who joined Dreamcatcher in 2016 knowing very little Korean. She's worked very hard on her voice and the result is clear in Nights into Days. I don't think she gets enough credit for that. Maybe at the beginning she was put into the group along with Gahyeon because they were everything Happyface had, and they were betting the store on one song, Chase Me. Now, she and Gahyeon are both stars and shine as brightly as the original Minx 5.
Red Velvet are so good they are one of the few groups that doesn't IMMEDIATELY have their songs stolen as soon as Dreamcatcher covers them. Quick primer: dual concept of Red Side (pop and upbeat) and Velvet Side (R&B, mature). The two sides can easily seem like different groups. Good introduction to Velvet is Psycho or Bad Boy, intro to Red could be Red Flavor or Dumb Dumb. And of course Monster by the sub-unit of Irene and Seulgi. RV has one of the best vocalists in kpop with Wendy. Wendy hosted a radio show for a while when SuA was a regular guest every Tuesday so they're pretty close. Lots of SuA-style interactions between them.
The moment I saw "Monster" next to the other songs I knew you were oblivious to what was coming. "Monster" isn't just a cover by DC members. Seven years ago Happy Face posted DC doing a cover of Regret Of The Times by Seo Tai Ji. It's quite punky in tone. Please post a reaction to this video. The track title is just in Korean and is only 1 minute 57 seconds long. DC did also perform it in a concert in 2017 too.
Monster is a cover of Seulgi and Irene's (Red Velvet) subunit. I am waiting for the day you guys decide to check out Red Velvet. Next to Dreamcatcher, RV is my ult girl group. Their vocals are unmatched, ESPECIALLY Wendy. I would love for you to check out their Killing Voice to get an idea of their sound and vocals. Like, I think I would pass away from happiness bc I really think you'd love them. Also, Monster is based on Carmilla, a novel about sapphic vampires. The outfits on the DC version are VERY tame by comparison. Take from that what you will :D (Maybe you can start checking RV out with Monster? Lol) Also, please, please checkout Yoohyeon's cover of Secret Love Song (but have tissues). I sent both Siyeon's cover of Speechless and Yoohyeon's cover of SLS to my mom (lifelong singer) and she was SHOOKETH. She also loves Jongho and San for the same reason, lol. Honestly like you said, you can never go wrong with a Dreamcatcher cover...if I were to recommend any though, DEFINITELY any and all 2yoo (Dami and Yoohyeon) covers, SuA "CopyCat" and SuJiYoo's dance cover of "Taki Taki". I'm having so much fun watching you guys fall further and further into the black hole that is Dreamcatcher! Thank you for bringing us along on the journey.
Siyeon's cover of Speechless is why she is my ultimate in kpop. Indeed, the blue-checkmarked commenter from disneymusic says in the comments for the video, and I quote, "👏👏". I'm sure there are much more watched kpop cover videos out there, but it's at 11MM views currently which is more than some their title tracks.

'Monster' was originally done by Red Velvet's first Sub-Unit Irene & Seulgi and it can be found on a mini-album they did.
This cover was really short and did not do the entire song. I like both versions but I&S still takes the prize because it's the full song. No shame toward Jiu and Yoohyeon of course because they did an AWESOME job!
The backing track is from the original song but these two actually vocally covered this as well as dancing to it. JiU covered Irene's part in both vocals and dance (so obviously Yoohyeon covered Seulgi's parts). That neck-grabbing turn-and-tilt is in the original MV as well.
The original MV is just INSANE because SM is one of the biggest companies and could afford all the production they felt like putting into the project. Without that kind of budget and only doing a really short cover (basically only half the song), these two still managed to do the song and dance real justice.
At no point in this entire Dreamcatcher journey have I seen Tori as flustered as the was with the "Monster" cover. The original is by Irene and Seulgi from Red Velvet. It's definitely worth a watch one day!
To your point about the chemistry between members, it's really something special. There are these big "ships", but that doesn't mean anything. ALL of the members have great chemistry with each other. Any pair of them together doing anything is a treat, even if they're just talking.

Lucky Strike is a really early number, possibly even pre-Chase Me. They did a Great Job! Another early one worth checking out is "There's Nothing Holding Me Back" if only because they are so obviously having a blast doing it.

a, I personally not yet checking cover by Handong and Gahyeon with full attention. I am gonna say they are the weakest compared to the other member but definitely have slay, unique, perfect part in Dreamcatcher's songs. Also Handong's voice has something, and Gahyeon on Utopia concert with Black or White just amazing, but still, compared to other, I can't put them higher but in special place like I mentioned.
and this, I am glad you put Handong's cover, because I am amazed for every second of the song. I know she has unique voice colour, I have to put my words back, no one weak in Dreamcatcher, they will improve to deliver good songs and memories with somnias.

I really recommend Handong's two Chinese solo singles, "First Light of Dawn" and "That Day", they've been released kinda under the radar and don't have music videos, but there are lyric videos.
And also Handong's medley of four Dreamcatcher songs she translated into Chinese, which you maybe know about, though it includes one song from the Summer Holiday album which you haven't heard yet.

9:25 I felt that. Siyeon singing that line always makes me tear a bit considering all that they've been through, and continue to go through. I've been an InSomnia since MINX's debut as I was a pretty young kid and that music appealed to me, so I never really "slept on them" but I'm SOOO glad people are waking up to their talent and music now.

No, I can't listen to "Speechless" often. I cry every time. Siyeon sings it so emotionally.
Handong's voice has a purity that perfectly carries the emotion she puts into the song. I still don't know the English lyrics to this song because I don't need to know them. It's all there in her angelic voice. She's come so far from the shy Chinese girl who joined Dreamcatcher in 2016 knowing very little Korean. She's worked very hard on her voice and the result is clear in Nights into Days. I don't think she gets enough credit for that. Maybe at the beginning she was put into the group along with Gahyeon because they were everything Happyface had, and they were betting the store on one song, Chase Me. Now, she and Gahyeon are both stars and shine as brightly as the original Minx 5.

Red Velvet are so good they are one of the few groups that doesn't IMMEDIATELY have their songs stolen as soon as Dreamcatcher covers them. Quick primer: dual concept of Red Side (pop and upbeat) and Velvet Side (R&B, mature). The two sides can easily seem like different groups. Good introduction to Velvet is Psycho or Bad Boy, intro to Red could be Red Flavor or Dumb Dumb. And of course Monster by the sub-unit of Irene and Seulgi.
RV has one of the best vocalists in kpop with Wendy. Wendy hosted a radio show for a while when SuA was a regular guest every Tuesday so they're pretty close. Lots of SuA-style interactions between them.

Monster is a cover of Seulgi and Irene's (Red Velvet) subunit. I am waiting for the day you guys decide to check out Red Velvet. Next to Dreamcatcher, RV is my ult girl group. Their vocals are unmatched, ESPECIALLY Wendy. I would love for you to check out their Killing Voice to get an idea of their sound and vocals. Like, I think I would pass away from happiness bc I really think you'd love them. Also, Monster is based on Carmilla, a novel about sapphic vampires. The outfits on the DC version are VERY tame by comparison. Take from that what you will :D (Maybe you can start checking RV out with Monster? Lol)
Also, please, please checkout Yoohyeon's cover of Secret Love Song (but have tissues).
