Hey folks -- with the launch of WC: Guardians of Azeroth, I wanted to follow through the events of Arthas' life where he ends up journeying to Northrend. I also make a different decision where he decides against going to Northrend. I hope you enjoy the video and let me know what you'd like to see next! I did link instructions on how to play the WC: GOA alpha release in the video description. It's a 12 second YT short so you don't have to waste any time watching a long video.

@@SurrealBeliefs actually in Warcraft 3 medivh first went to arthas to tell him to flee to kalimdor, but because he didn't listen jaina was his second choice.
They should've given you the option to heed The Prophet (Medivh)'s warning and take your people to Kalimdor to escape the Scourge. Lordaeron can always be retaken later once things calm down.
That could be cool. I imagine that it'd take making a new bookmark, but it could work
That option existed in the ck2 version. I think they just hadn't added it yet.

Ah, thank you! I'm glad I wasn't the only one. In my 30s, I'm just reliving hours spent playing through the old WC campaigns.

That Arthas and his fall never got a movie is a tragedy.
Right? they finally made a Warcraft movie...and chose the Guldan invasion instead....like what? lol

@@Morec0 Yea well, too bad they didn't bother explaining anything for people who aren't Lore nerds who already knew everything. The movie bombed because no one understood anything going on. An average consumer does not need mountains of build up to understand a Shakespearean tragedy about a young Prince, who is honest and good, being driven to the brink by a hoard of zombies and sacrificing everything for his people. You can easily tell the story of Arthas in a very self contained way. You don't NEED to know the history of Gul'Dan and the power of Sargeras or know that he possessed Mediev and whatever else to understand "Prince throws away everything precious to him to save what's precious to him".
Look, I know us lore nerds like to kid ourselves into thinking people need to have full encyclopedic knowledge of the past events to fully appreciate the thing, and sometimes that is true, but I strongly contest that in this case.
can't wait for the modders to incorporate the travel mechanic coming from the free update in the release of Tours & Tournaments DLC...this will enhance the Warcraft campaign even further..

Reminds me of a build in the OG days of Azeroth Wars where Arthas ascends the throne as a Paladin after beating back the Scourge.

Small question, how to download the mod? Can't see it on steam
I almost want to play just for the mod trying to go down new paths for big characters is super interesting even just following the original ones and maybe dominating the world with it like playing arthas through but bringing the scourge to overrun all of the eastern kingdom, rather then stopping. Fighting the scourge as arthas certainly looks like hardmode cause stopping the plague is nuts.
Btw will u be starting a new Bannerlord 2 play through or am I just miss remembering?

Man i would love to see how someone could spin turning his entire kingdom into the undead into a good thing. At least Hitler cared about his country or something
@@DylanJo123 Arthas was so obsessed in taking out the people who attacked his country that he followed them across the world to some frozen hellhole for vengeance. Its a tragic tale how he lost his humanity and became what he wanted to destroy.
Hitler became a German citizen just in 1932 and 7 years later he started world war 2 that killed more Germans than any other war in history. Not sure how is that care for anything but for himself.
I wonder if they’ll implement something akin to a class system since it’s huge part in Warcraft

So how do I install this mod? I downloaded it and put it in Documents/paradox/ck3/mod but the launcher still says I have no mods.

a latam warcraft youtuber made a what if video really nice, of what if arthas refused to go to northrend but accepted the punishment of the Purge, becoming a champion after that and finally marrying Jaina, this infurated Kael to the point of meltdown, then he heard a whisper, to archieve a even greater challenge, to take the cursed blade, really nice that fanfic he made, but is in spanish

I would give a lot of money for a TOTAL WAR in Warcraft's univers
well lorewise that would create rift between shadowlands and azeroth as dreadlord serve denathrius and he served tha jailer that would make no sense at this point. Meaning jailor invades and without indepth knowledge of former licch king jailor would win.

As of right now, I don't think there's an event for that. However, I'm absolutely sure that'll be added in.

Wound rates for Quarantine and Evacuate are far too low.
if only the mod wern't as unstable as fuck... took it on steam workshop and i shit you not, you have to try to launch the game 5 times before it does not crash on start, and then after a solid 30 minute of game ... yup crashes. it's still alpha tho so OP saying the mod is out is laughable at best... hopefully it's still being worked on as it show great promise !
with the next DLC, our character could finally move around too XD

I don't agree with the creative choices here. There used to be a very awesome warcraft 3 map *this is wayyy before reforged.* That map explored every possible lore-accurate possibility. You could rebuild lordaeron as Arthas. Jaina never turned into a zombie there. A really good map. Godamn, if only the creators of this mod looked for that map, and somehow copied the ideas, or contacted the og creators. This mod could be so much more. Sometimes I just played that map, just to see what the creators added to it. Friggen epic stuff.

One of the major patches messed up a lot of the DNA models when PDX made some changes. They're working on it.
