We fear being left because a) we have watched it happen. B) we put so much of ourselves into the relationship..it literally breaks us when people we care about leave. You basically are expecting him to be the toxic cancer and like every sign has a toxic side and water signs are the most notorious for being stigmatized for their toxic side but hes a very settled cancer and I say with all water signs you know water has 3 forms in a liquid solid and gas and you know when a cancer pisces or scorpio matures they really can become solid emotionally.

Blame the Scorpio moon 🙄. I’m an Aries with a Scorpio moon and I’m literally always attracting cancers and Scorpios to the tenth power. They’re drawn to our deep connection with emotions (Scorpio moon influence). To them they feel deeply comfortable to show their true side with us that they can’t do with others. And to make it worse we actually fully get them. So they attach to us like magnets.

Cancers are very manipulative. when you call them out on it they play victim and make you look like the villain. then when you get mad it works in their favor to prove their point. even with this fault its hard to dislike them completely.

Every zodiac sign is capable of playing the victim and being manipulative. I’ve met plenty of other zodiac signs modern astrology wouldn’t expect to be manipulative and play the victim.

See I'm a very non conformative cancer, I just take a different approach to the outcome I do think most cancers want in common, in the sense that I do often feel I have to be the strong one in relationships and bite my tongue to help preserve and protect those people I love, as well as stability not being a main priority as far as me not being a sexual settler but instead moreso a nomadic hunter gatherer, I'm in a committed relationship rn, but I prefer to have a range of different experiences with others that I really prefer to include my current partner in on, I still like to stay in a whole relationship with only one at a time though. With all that said as a cancer I do have an issue with people who think like this for a few reasons though.
1. You can't narrate yourself being manipulated, that's not how it works. You have to not know you're being manipulated usually in order for it to be successful, therefore it's a completely irrational fear if you're already displaying that you know someone MIGHT be saying what they're saying with the intent to make you sympathize with them, if you already have that knowledge there's no way that's gonna happen unless you make the conscious choice to justify their actions.
2. If someone simply explaining themselves and why they did what they did(making excuses, playing victim, not taking criticism well, however the hell you're trying to paint it) is enough to make you justify their actions even if their actions are still wrong and they still need to be held accountable for it.. that's allll YOU that's missing the point and not understanding the assignment. There's a way to hear people out(Especially since it could also be helpful for them to get better given you need to self reflect on why you THOUGHT you were right in order to understand why you were wrong a lot of times) and be supportive without making it a matter of manipulation or how weak minded you are or aren't.
3. Here's a better question why do you assume that by me trying to set the record straight and explain the reason why I did something, that somehow that translates to me asking you to justify what I did? For me personally at least I try to balance everything out and don't normally victim blame, it takes a lot for me to think anyone I hurt isn't as much of a victim as they claim, like I have to be pretty hurt too in order to do that, I just try to trace everything back to it's root and just state facts about who did what and what lead to what, but it's never in a way that I'm trying to put all the blame on the other person/people or not claim the part that I played in whatever drama, I mean I own all my choices confidently whether I end up right or wrong, If I'm gonna suffer for anything I did I better at least get to take the credit for doing it, that's how I see it. So yeah direct and obvious victim blaming for me is the only instance I can see where what you're saying applies, but according to your comment it seems the cancer you speak of has to already be feeling bad and apologizing, you just don't think it's sincere because you're assuming that they're asking for you to justify them because they're "making excuses" or getting emotional or whatever, and you just think that because they're holding the talking stick now and not all of the attention is on you anymore, if it's something they did then yes it's about them, and everyone has the right to act like something is about them when THEY fucked up. And it's always been something that's confused me, if you ever notice, usually if you say something about ANYTHING at all like in someone's car saying "Ew I hate this song" they automatically think that's you asking them to change the station. I remember I was pretty spoiled by my grandparents when I was little so there couldn't have been a whole lot of reasons as to why she was telling me basically "no not today" so we must have been in a rush to get somewhere or something, but I have this memory from when I was little of seeing the scratch off lottery tickets and telling my grandma that my mom gets them for me and let's me play them just trying to make conversation and she tells me she knows and we can get them some other time for a very rare reason I can't remember, but I wasn't saying that with the expectation that she gets it for me, I was just sharing something, if I wanted them at that moment I would've asked that way, I'm very transparent. But yeah I think a lot of people need to let go of whatever insecurity it is that makes them feel they have to people please so much and just take an opinion or a comment or something as just simple discussion, why does it always mean someone is asking something of you? And also practice being more transparent with each other if there is anyone that just drops hints that they're asking something, so people have a clear distinction between that and just being conversational.
Idk, this is just an issue that I as a cancer have experienced a lot so I've thought about it a lot. Clearly it takes up a lot of space in my brain lol.
