I mean everyone would hate guy who killed your brother nation (Prussians but the Baltic Prussians not Germans who took name after them) and now some even do not know the nation existed. And because of that some nations think you just magically appeared in 20th century.
I feel like all the Baltic would have bed feels towards Germany. Natives had and uneasy relation with German nobles in the area, not to mention the atrocities committed by Friekorp and Germany militias after ww1, including staging a coup in Latvia while fighting the Soviets. So yah, i 'day in general he Baltic trio would have bad blood with Prussia and germany.
But if Lithuania was truly born in the 13th century, then what about when they were mentioned in 1009? Let's not forget The map of Poland when Boleslaw was the king. At the time of their rule a map was created where Lithuania's name and territory were clearly shown and the date on the map is 1000. It is also said in many Lithuanian history books that the tribe itself is around 4000 years old. About the time when the Indo-european tribes reached the First Baltic tribes. The first tribes to Live there which I just call Aestii (that's how all the tribes were called before the name 'Baltic' came in the 19 or 20th century) have settled there around 10-12 thousand years ago. So Aestii would be like Lithuania's father or mother and Lithuania could be a lot older than we all imagine. Sorry for this long message, I just have a lot of questions about Lithuania's roots and I can't live without a good theory. It's a quite interesting video though and your theory about the Baltic siblings is definitely a one quite a few people thought of. all in all, great video, love your channel, your theories and keep being awesome!

The moral of the story? Prussia was a massive ass as a kid. Also, this channel is slowly making me love Lithuania a LOT. Thanks for that. Edit: grammar
I really don’t think the “born into war” thing is really unique to Lithuania though. It’s the medieval ages. War is super common. England? The Norman Conquest, the Vikings, the Danelaw, Anglo-Saxon squabbles, etc. France? He’s been host to so many wars and squabbles throughout his life it isn’t even funny. I think it’s just the simple fact that Lithuania got so big so quickly. I mean, in not even a century he manages to capture Belarus completely, basically swallow up most of the rest of the western half of the former Kievan Rus’, and blob up into this giant monster of a state from his origins as a tiny polity on the Baltic coast. Do we see young England preparing for War against Norway and the Normans immediately after? Or France as he tries to fight off Vikings on his coast when he’s still West Francia and not even France? They might have acted just like Lithuania if we did. The medieval ages weren’t easy times for countries, it was a baptism of fire. Wars started at the whims of nobles and kings for pointless reasons by modern standards. Literally every time some king didn’t leave an heir, whole swaths of the continent could erupt into flames. I think this is definitely confirmation bias, sorry. War could even be said to be basically the point of a country’s existence back then, sadly.
Did you delete your reply? But yeah, Kolkol kind of has a clear bias and isn’t really able to see things in a bigger picture. I mean... the Middle Ages aren’t known to be incredibly peaceful, and I thought she would know that. I mean, depending on where you count from you could argue that France was also just born straight into a war. Lithuania was at its biggest size at the time, why wouldn’t he be an adult at that point? It should be noted that when exactly Lithuania was formed and if it united to fight off the Knights is disputed by historians, since it’s the Middle Ages and nothing can be simple. Though I won’t fault her for that since this is the story that most laymen stick with. Also, it should be noted due to how countries worked back then ethnic identity wasn’t really a huge concern. Though yeah, the expansion required a whole lot of political maneuvering from the GDL leadership.
Um... wow that’s a lot. That took an... interesting turn. I’m sorry, there’s so much r/badhistory in here I don’t think you have that good a grasp of it either. Like... welfare being the reason why empires collapse? Seriously? Rly m8? Also the Black Death was after all this happened, in the 14th Century. Also pretty sure Lithuania was merely bigger than Poland in land area. Also few people cared about ethnic nationalism at the time so it wasn’t a good thing or bad thing. Hetafacts has a better grasp of history than you so you have no right to talk. I’m sorry. In English we have an expression called the pot calling the kettle black, and you’re the pot here. I don’t mean to be this rude, but what can I say when confronted with something like this?
Seriously, what kind of history book have you been reading? Because that Bulgarian I saw insisting the Ancient Greeks were Bulgarian made more freakin’ sense than this. I’m not saying this to be rude (okay, maybe a bit since I’m so baffled), but either it’s the language barrier, or this is some baaaaaadddd history.
All I’m saying is that your grasp of history is worse than Kolkol. I already explained why the plague is irrelevant. What else do you want me to elaborate on? Though I’ll say this about the welfare thing; what kind of twisted, ultra-libertarian, Alex Jones, agenda-pushing anarchist bullshit does one read to even get to this conclusion?
12:16 i think you have your facts mixt up Lithuania was first a kingdon whit our first and only King Mindaugas of the Kingdom of Lithuania. Then after he deid Lithuania turned in to the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. More info on Lithuania when the priest was killed in the sacred oak forest for sleeping in it whit no permission. And it was first mentioned in history in the year 1009. In the year 2009 we celebrated our 1000 years of existence we had 3 capitals and the currents capitals age is more then 700 years. Am not saying its old compared to countrys like england but it is olden than 150. Also Lithuania was once called as the most civilised more then the Germanic tribes. Lithuania even had a trade of amber whit the Roman empire and it was before it turned in to the holy Roman empire. And after we converted our our third capitals cristian catidral(hat looks like the tempel of Deus) was build on the same exact spot whereonce stood the sacred Oak forest. P.S. Sorry for the long comment
I'm not an expert on history but I'm pretty sure the Roman Empire did not turn into the Holy Roman Empire. They were two completely unrelated nations, one being Romance and the other being Germanic and I think the only reason the Holy Roman Empire was called what it was was because the Pope said so and also gave them the crown which they obviously liked.
i never got why hima incuded this as a rivalry. but then again i ussualy explain the baltic crusades as more of a conquest and cultural blending akin to england then the outright killing of baltic tribes. but hima proably reads english.
Oh Heta it's Earthsuu your going to have alot of fun with US International Relations. Cause I got many a theory that go into my "It's Completed." Headcanon. Cuba anyone?
In Downfall Parody terms, it's Fegelein vs. Tukhachevsky. (I know he's Russian, but he will be a stand-in for any Slavic nation that's assiciated with the Ivans.)
Until I saw this, I honestly had no idea that Lithuania had such a rough beginning. He didn't even HAVE a childhood, for crying out loud! Wait.............who was Lithuania's mother/father? Did Prussia kill them too? And for a theory idea, maybe you could try to find out why Hungary's family thought it was a good idea to make her believe she was literally a boy instead of just telling her the truth. Were they concerned about the other nations' reaction to her being a girl, or did they have an ulterior motive in mind, or both, or something else? I'd like to see what you come up with.
Lord how much I love this channel, also do you have an outlet we’re you post photos of cosplays or Little fun facts (I feel like you have a lot of those)
weren`t it make that America didn`t have a good childhood like Lithuania had when Lithuania was born? because Lithuania and America BOTH had to grow up fast because of either war or other things happening in their country etc.
@@dropmelon i guess so but just trying to freger out between america growing up and lithuania growing up because they both grew up to fast and never gotten to enjoy there childhood etc.
eyeoftheshydragon shine America basically went from a child to a full on teenager overnight. Plus, it is shown that America did have some sort of childhood and pleasant memories, especially when he looks through his storage closet and finds the toy soldiers England made for him.
I have a theory about were American is from as we know the first time anyone seen america was when he was just a baby in the wild, but how did he get there? My theory is that Finland or at this time the Vikings made a base on north America note this part did happen in real life, at this time Finland had a kid with one of Germany sisters the kids was American and Canada. However like in real life the base didn't work so Finland and Germany sister moved back but for some reason American and Canada got left behind, and the reason that Finland doesn't think American his kid is that he thinks his kids died in the wild. This theory explains how American has Finland and German blood in him and why American eyebrows are not like England, and remember Finland was the first to talk about American and that both baby America and normal America look somewhat like Finland. So what do you think?
And if you remember Finland and Germany sisters would be the only ones how would know about the two of them in the first place, and Finland wouldn't want to talk about his lost kids ever who would. But Finland still wishing he still had his kids so that why he tried getting America dad because he reminds Finland of him, Because America and Canada are his long lost sons.
@@willnorman-bargo it's deep but understandable though I just feel like something not right about the theory (not trying to be rude you have great theory skills)
America doesn't have eyebrows, due to France's influence. Like Canada and Seychelles. Countries(from what we know), are not born like humans, who need to be birthed from a woman. America has mixed european blood, due to the immigrant Colonists being p mixed for a while. Also, as far as we know, there are only german brother states. No females just yet. Its an interesting theory but has quite a few holes in it. 💦
Could someone explain why I hate it, to talk about the rivalry between Prussia and Lithuania? I mean...I may ship them. But so do I with Poland and Germany (I know i'm crazy), but about them I can talk. It's just such a pain to watch that video ^\'-'/^
I know this is nearly a month late, but rivalries in ships can be a very interesting dynamic and add a lot of spice to a ship! And while it's true that Lithuania and Prussia have rocky history, but I think in recent times it would've become something more akin to France and Britain. Plus, there's the whole thing that Prussia likely lived with Russia with Lithuania, and we all know that Russia is... not the best caretaker, so that provides potential situations for them to bond over.
@@Kili_1701 Personally, I'm quite fond of ships with rivalries, too. It adds a lot of fun to relationships imho. If you have any other platform that you use, I'd love to be able to speak more with you there ^^
Rin the нет master It probably comes from the fact that Russia was her favorite back when she was a self proclaimed weeb and the sound he makes when he’s being exceptionally scary is “kolkolkolkol”.
Rin the нет master You’re welcome, dear. :) I just watched her roast of Russia and she mentions him being her fave at the beginning (despite also mentioning Belarus as her current favorite in other videos). She also mentions the theories for where “kolkolkol” came from in that video.

@roseshadow wolf germania is a father figure, Prussia and Germany are brothers. There are many germanic countries too but It isn't explicitly said that they're related. Austria was excluded in the unification of Germany so idk if they're technically still related.
@@randombrick830 No, I don't think so. It sounds like if chineese would claim that they are heir of mongolian empire. Lithuanians at those times were like mongols or vikings. They love to fight other but they dont impose they culture on others.

@@oliviazlotnicki8446 yea but not all the childhood like how Lithuania had when he was a child he had to fight Prussia when he was little etc.
eyeoftheshydragon shine True, but Lithuania was literally born because of and in order to fight. America just started evolving.
Weatd the first book in Lithuanian was created in Prussia we foth crusaders towhether
Read history. There's the reason XD Prussia and Lithuania were close(nations) yup. Then a lot happened lol
When you said siberia i think of the rpg Escape From Siberia
Hm wow I guess this theory does make sense
I’m crying..
10:14 OMG... Polish xd (You have viewers in Poland. Happy about it? :3)
The world doesn't work around us, does it? We're not the most important people ever, you don't need to point it out.
Bs, Lithuania should have been the most confrontational character, especially tu Russia.
Wow i ... i didn't know
Maybe Lithuania as Belle and Prussia as Gaston. What do you all think of that idea?
Hm
@@meteorshower8490 someone who shares My opinion ^^
Thanks, now I have an explanation why I love rivalry-ships.
@@Kili_1701 Personally, I'm quite fond of ships with rivalries, too. It adds a lot of fun to relationships imho. If you have any other platform that you use, I'd love to be able to speak more with you there ^^

Yeeeeee!!!AM early!!!!!!!!!
Why do you have signed your work “~ Kolko” is that your name or something?
Rin the нет master It probably comes from the fact that Russia was her favorite back when she was a self proclaimed weeb and the sound he makes when he’s being exceptionally scary is “kolkolkolkol”.
Ren Tachibana oh thx
Rin the нет master You’re welcome, dear. :) I just watched her roast of Russia and she mentions him being her fave at the beginning (despite also mentioning Belarus as her current favorite in other videos). She also mentions the theories for where “kolkolkol” came from in that video.

I have a question is it wrong to ship austria x hungary? and nyo prussia x poland( nomal not nyo)
I don't think it's wrong to ship aushun. I mean they have a comic strip in modern day sending gifts to each other so clearly they're friendly. Nyo!Prussia x poland...eh, whatever floats ur boat, bro XD it's hetalia almost anything can work
also whats is prussia and germnia's relationship?
It doesn't matter bc they're countries anyways-
@roseshadow wolf germania is a father figure, Prussia and Germany are brothers. There are many germanic countries too but It isn't explicitly said that they're related. Austria was excluded in the unification of Germany so idk if they're technically still related.
@@checklistsnails4915 Germany and Prussia are brothers.
Austria and Germany are too, which means Prussia is Austrias brother aswell.

Lithuania = Belarus, btw. Belarus is the rightful heir of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania.
And? Why you telling this? Who cares about it
@@randombrick830 No, I don't think so. It sounds like if chineese would claim that they are heir of mongolian empire. Lithuanians at those times were like mongols or vikings. They love to fight other but they dont impose they culture on others.
